So I was doing so much research on performance suspension I was looking at Fox RockShox manitou Marzocchi DVO cane creek etc. I have a 2022Marin Riftzone 3 27.5 decided to stick with Marzocchi z2 I want to get a bomber air then later a z1 in a 130mm travel option because they are capable and most importantly they don’t have all the settings to screw around with is why I decided:)
I really appreciate this content, it's nice to see budget comparisons and beat value tests versus pinkbike comparing top of the line forks all the time. That being said, inever got along well with my 36 rythm so I just got a factory 38 on sale from fox. No matter if I changed the psi or volune spacers on the 36 I couldn't get the fork to move into the last 3rd of its travel, the arm pump was insane at bike parks. I am 205 so pushing the higher end of weight categories for sure. You ever have travel issues with the 36?
I have a 2021 lyrik ultimate on my Norco Torrent and on my second bike I put a 2020 yari on my Comencal meta ht with the debonair spring and then replaced the motion control damper with the 2.1 charger damper. The yari is now so nice I can't tell the difference between it and the lyrik. Also there is absolutely no difference in the yari and lyrik chassis, materials or weight. $550 all up for the yari!
Awesome video! I’m looking in for buying the Yari our the fox 36. I have the fuel ex7 gen6 and it’s 150mm stock and I want to go up, so you mean I should go to 170mm in the budget instead of 160mm that trek say it’s biggest on fuel ex? Still pretty new in this 🤷🏼♂️ 3:10
@@OtterMTBtech 2021 (newer rounded arch lowers) fox 36 e-tuned grip 2 - 150mm for a Kona honzo ESD. Currently running a 2020 lyrik ultimate with upgraded ‘21 - 150mm Debonair spring and it’s been great. But I have a 2023 38 factory grip 2 - 170mm on my full sus, and feel like it’s a better all around fork. But maybe the thicker stanchions on the e-36 fork will feel too stiff? Maybe changing tokens in the lyrik?
over stroking, over forking, and over biking all mean when you increase the amount of travel from the bikes stock travel. In this video the bike he was riding is 170mm stock and he's recommending to use a 180mm yari or zeb
Great video dude as all of them. One question if I put a fox 36 27,5 plus performance 170 travel serial number 773637-0001-T to a 29 er , 29x2,4 60 balón it fine or I will some issues ? Thanks

That’s the same form as the 36 I said son the contest
You should update this with the MRP Lift damper upgrade. Seems like a cheap Yari/Lyrik w/MRP Lift is the ticket.

160 travel 36 off Facebook marketplace.
Really enjoy your work - what are your thoughts on using ebike labeled forks on an analog bike? More specifically a hardtail?
What fork

36 is better. The e tune has lighter compression since e bikers sit to much. Crank the low speed compression and run 36.
Lyric is garbage
Thanks i was deciding if i should get yari or 36 and 36 seems better to me
Over stroked 36 yes. Right travel or wheels on ground riding Zeb
What don you mean by over stroke

Durolux 36 vs Yari, which one anyone?
Just buy an old Yari and give it the debonair and 2.1 rc2 da,per Upgrade
Bro.. did you try it? Hows the performance after upgrade? Thanks
just call you mountain bike a mountain bike, your e bike is a motor cycle....a bike with a motor.
I was a on a Amish bike 😭 for that video 😎
