SMITE is similar to DoTA gameplay but instead of being above the action you are IN the action. Close third-person camera instead of RTS view. Move with WASD instead of clicking on a map. Detailed graphics and visual effects. ACTION combat, dodging, and aiming. Everything is a skill-shot. Free-to-Play but not pay-to-win.

It would be cool if his brother also was a character and instead of mele he could be a mage because the Twins loved Music and drawing so it would be cool if his brother was a mage and the it`s attacks was based around art and Music

I just see a Hun Batz player using his 3 to teleport very good. How about NightCrawler Hun Batz skin? I believe their pose already very similar.
The Joust map revamp looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait for conquest to get a HD revamp!

Both Chronos and the Chinese moon goddess Chang'e were in the dev build being played in the patch notes stream. Chang'e is a melee mage, and we know almost nothing about Chronos, but he was confirmed to be coming out next week along with major changes for conquest map.

Actually, Hun Batz and Hun Schoen (not sure if thats right) were going to get Xbalanque and Hunaphu's "birds" in a tree they couldn't climb, so the older twins went to get it.
This is great! I love the joust re-skin and I think the branching items is genius. Also glad sun wu's ult isnt so OP now and the diversion from LoL is nice too

Cause there was so much controversy with the already made Hindu gods, they’re trying to keep the amount added low and expand other pantheons instead

That is true. The special Skins that are Gems only use different character models, which is why they are charged for Gems. It also makes the Skins transferable through character models.
I think the hero twins that Hun Batz and his brother didnt like were Xbalanque and his brother Hunahpu...

Hun batz voice pack is so amazing it sounds like a troll from warcraft / world of warcraft i freaking love those voices.
That was suppose to come out this patch as well, but there was an issue so its coming out within the next week patches
Looks like it. They did show he's getting a make over and will be released later, looks like with a completely different skill set.
joust map is like a whole new graphic type. i bet theyre gonna see what feed back they get for it then do a redressing for the main conquest too. the trees have leaves!

Yes, Hun-Batz is the replacement for the old Sun Wukong. They're working on a brand NEW Sun Wukong that hasn't been released yet.
did u not hear the begining where it said that it was just a replacement while the sunwukong changes
am i the only one who noticed that when Hun Batz kills someone wukongs picture appears on the sword that strikes the skull?
Sun Wukong is coming back with a different kit. Hun Batz just took his kit
If you mean if you'll still have the god. You will have it. They replaced Odin with Hun Batz/Sun Wukong from the free gods but who ever had sun wukong keeps Hun Batz and has to unlock Odin.
did everyone not watch the video? They said Wu Kong will return different looking with different moves.
Shaolin Monk-ey is usable on Hun-Batz now, though it has significantly less meaning now that it isn't wukong.
I agree. I think it should be an option, like press _____ to teleport to the location if it strikes.
originally there was going to be ones for conquest, but they didn't managed to do it in time.... in next patch

The skin will stay as it is in sun-wukong form. Was confirmed by Bart on the stream.

Oh god, the jousting map looks so much better. The old one was a little too bright and cartoon-ey, even though that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I guess the same goes for the UI aswell in some cases.
You will get the corresponding Hun Batz skin.

maybe because its almost the same name as Wukong, the monkey king on LoL. i dont know if that's the reason

What Ryan said. they are making Wukong fit his lore better, and since people liked his old kit, they took that, tweaked it a bit (literally only big change was his Ult) and gave it to Hun Batz here. Don't see why people are complaining, now Xbal has a buddy!

You still get that skin, it's the exact same thing.
Big changed was his 3rd skill.The fact that Iteleport to an enemy when it this them makes it much harder to farm with it
That is the point, you have to be careful about when to use it. It is an initiation ability, not a harassing ability.
Yes. New Sun Wukong will have different model, different voice, different effects and completely new abilities to match the lore of Sun Wukong.
I noticed ninja tabi when they were showing off the new item build flexibility. Reminds me of an item from another game.......
The same way that a house cat is same as a tiger. Same species, but latter is way stronger.
Sun Wukong isn't dead, he's hibernating. When he awakens, he'll will no longer be the Sun Wukong you recognize. Stronger, better, and wiser. What I'm trying to say is Sun Wukong is going to be readded as a totally different god.
I love this kind of Lore, It shows the art and the picture in the story potraying what really happened.Unlike any other games I played, This kind of thing really stands out. Don't get me wrong, This is the first time I've watched a Smite Game and thinking of switching from HON DOTA2 and LOL to this. I'm also a big fan of Monkey king by their rankings, Monkey King from Forbidden kingdom, Monkey king from Hon and Wukong.
I think because they wanted to completely Remake him both visual and ability wise (his passive was a movement speed buff when out of comba I think... he was such a good roamer q.q) and then with a more serious look and a new also cool ability they also gave him a new name.
you're right and wrong. during his mortal life, hercules was a demigod but after his death he was made into a full god, even if he is a minor one
If you don't want to teleport you start with a god and it will bounce to archers, but if you start with archers it will teleport you to the god.
The only thing that bugs me is that the monkey makes you teleport. It will create more problems than benefits.
you realize that Wukong from lol was base on the chinese sage, "Sun Wukong," right?
It is a re-make of him as he was probably the most under powered god. The only thing that annoys me is Anhurs voice it's different to his selection voice which was deeper and sounded more fierce.

SO MY PREDICTIONS:
1) his new skin will probably be more human like monkey (kinda like guan yu) because in the lore he is also depicted as a man. Maybe more like Jet Li's forbidden kingdom type of look. Its like ne zha and guan yu combined look, slim but warrior like.
2) his moves will be so OP. In the lore the real Sun Wukong can transform, freeze enemies, and he can command water & wind with magic.
when are they going to do Spotlights for the other gods & not just for New Gods?

Just wish Hun Batz's skills were themed a little more musically to fit the lore a bit more. The ult is fine but the other actives don't really have much to do with sound.

Oh my god the way the whole game shows the abilities, health, mana, items, allies, and enemies makes it much more confusing now.
You can still see the old wukong picture for when HirezTravis would get a kill on somebody,
Big congrats. Mainly on the graphic update of the maps. I found it pretty "meh" before. And the trees really looks a bit silly. Now it seems gorgeous. If you managed to do that without any performance loss, congrats, HiRez. I'm pretty impatient to try this out. Well done

They literally say right at the start of the video that they are changing Wukong and bringing him back later, and yet I see people going "OMFG WUKONG AGAIN" and "BUT I LIEKED SUN WUKONG".

you mean there will be Hunz Bat and Sun Wukong or it's just Unz Bat? I've tried him, it's better looking but i don't like the fact that 3 now tp's to a champion(bit of suicide and no harass like the old kit) and the ult that pushes back instead of in place
I didn´t want to say that the figure Hun Batz is stolen from wukong. I wanted to say that wukong as a good has actually nearby the same abilities and playstyle in the game like wukong.
Lets all say a prayer for both Sun Wukong and the beloved Manticore
IM pretty sure Bastet needed to be replaced more that Son Wukong
They are not supposed to look incredibly awesome, they are more like a trophy for having God Rank 1, and for the gold border.
I think this was a really good choice, Wukong is so much more badass than they made him before and I was really disappointed, but now I'm curious what are they gonna come up with. The 1v1 map and the new UI looks freaking awesome in my opinion.
Sun Wukong is already an existing chinese mythical creature, it's not like riot invented him.
God idea: Mithras (melee tank)
Passive: Strength of the followers:+30% xp gain per follower in area(to 3x).
1: Sword of Truth: 4 melee strikes,2&4 with projectiles
2: Immortal Persia: Rectangular AoE wall blocks enemy ranges, +ally mag. Prot.
3: Bullslayer:Dashes and stuns enemy, 15 DoT over 5 sec, minions attack target
Ult: Born from Stone: Goes into Aegis Stone, heals and in 2 sec, explodes into an DMG AoE. Stats: Like herc, with -mag. Prot.
Technically speaking "god" is a mythical being.
Well idk, gotta see it in action first :) But his ultimate will most certainly be very scary in a teamfight.
i think in hun-batz voice pack they should add a man in the end of his sentences lilke defend middle lane man

Since we are doing Aztec/Mayan gods, you should totally add quetzalcoatl.
I'm just assuming that they might add sun wukong back but make his skillset completely different
