Vegetarian cevapcici meatballs - patties made from lentils - tastier than meat

- You can shape these vegetarian patties however you like: meatballs, cevapcici, small balls. No matter how, they simply taste really good. Meat lovers will also get a taste for them. Be sure to try out the recipe.
Ingredients
200 g brown lentils
1 liter vegetable stock
120 g grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 stale bread roll
6 garlic cloves
2 carrots
3 chilies
1 onion
2 bunches of parsley
10 g sesame seeds
approx. 150 g rolled oats
spices
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon curry
1 teaspoon chili flakes
1 teaspoon mustard
possibly salt
Preparation
First, cook the washed lentils in the vegetable stock for about ½ hour until they are nice and soft. I will show you how to make your own vegetable stock cubes in a separate video.

Place the bread roll in a bowl and pour water over it so that it can soak up the water and become soft.
In the meantime, finely dice the onion and chilli pepper. Crush the garlic cloves and place everything in a large bowl.
Now add the grated Parmesan cheese and the egg.
Add the peeled and finely grated carrots.
Add the finely chopped parsley to the bowl.
Now squeeze the water out of the soaked bread roll and crumble it into the bowl. You need to squeeze it vigorously so that a lot of the water is removed. Otherwise the mixture will not be firm enough and will be difficult to fry.
Add the sesame seeds and spices and mix everything together roughly.
The lentils are now soft and we puree them with a hand blender. If you don't have a hand blender, you can also use a potato masher.
Pour the lentil puree into the bowl and mix all the ingredients well. It is best to knead the mixture with your hands.
Gradually add the rolled oats until the mixture becomes malleable.
Season to taste again.
Cover the bowl and set aside for ½ hour to allow the oats to swell and absorb the excess moisture.
The mixture is now easy to shape. If it is still too moist, add more oats until it looks like mine.
Form small meatballs, balls or cevapcicis with your hands and place on a board. Don't make the patties too big, because then it will be difficult to fry them and they will break when you turn them.
Don't the patties already look delicious?
Fry them in a pan with plenty of olive oil and flatten them a little.
You have to wait until the patties are nice and crispy and brown on the bottom, then they are much easier to turn.
Then place them on a plate covered with kitchen paper to soak up the excess fat.

Ja, Christine, probier die unbedingt mal aus. Das sind wirklich leckere Teilchen. Aber pass mit dem Salz auf. Die Linsen sind in Brühe gekocht und der Käse ist auch salzig... Ganz zum Schluss salzen. Was gibt es denn bei Dir dazu?
Das reicht nichts mehr dazu und Salz nur minimal
