    I love my Warrior 2 Mini, and one thing I have never said was: “If only they would make it without this tail cap switch that gives me instant access to low and turbo.” It’s not too long, and if anything I wish it was larger and had even more output - which is why I have a Warrior 3S coming. So I would personally lean toward not going any smaller than the Warrior 2 Mini.
    As for the CW emitter - I am over it. I appreciate the efficiency so much, that I don’t mind that is has the tint of my Tesla or Audi headlights. After all, I see things illuminated by my headlights daily. I think enthusiasts should start to see the beauty in efficiency when it comes to battery-operated devices, but very few reviewers test for it or talk about that.

    You seemed to really downplay how green that emitter is. Well over 0.0100, and still above 0.0070 on high is ugly, wouldn’t you agree?
    The other thing I wish they’d change is the clip placement. Bezel up carry ruins it for me. The ergos suffer for having that clip up there too. An option to move the clip to the tail would be awesome.

    Love nerding out to your reviews. And yeah, the Warrior 3S is just a bit too big for a lot of EDC situations. My job requires multiple EDC tools so for my light, compact but super bright is king which is why I carry the standard Baton 3. So when I saw the Baton 3 Pro it was a no brainer and I scored the OD green and orange during their Black Friday sale. Wow what a fantastic light in every way. I consider it my new yardstick that all other compact EDC lights are judged by. It's the perfect mix of overall design, build quality, compactness, brightness, run time, ease of use, versatility and price. Liked that included metal hanging bracket so much I reached out to Olight for more so I can store my Baton 3's and future Olights the same way, those things are great.

    As for emitter swapping....most of us wouldn't know where eto buy emitters fearing buying from some unscrupilous retailer selling emitters of poor quality, maybe cloness...etc. Even if we actually do own soldering irons and flux.....
    Should do a video about swapping emitters that mentions where to buy from...it's not like they're available from Best Buy :)

    I'd like to thank you for your review, it played a big role in helping me decide to go with the NW ODG Pro for Black Friday.
    So far I've been INCREDIBLY impressed with the light, that being said, aside from poking around way too many enthusiast forums, my only good light to compare to is a CW i5T, so it's hard to tell for sure. 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Even though I'd looked at tons of pictures of it, my very first thought when opening it was that it looked like one of those mini corn on the cobs!
    I definitely do see the yellow cast on lower modes, and it does bother a bit, however I prefer it to the i5T green cast.
    I'm also wondering if I won the tint lottery because I can see some pink halo, but maybe it's just due to crazy color shifting?
    Compared to the i5T the 600 lumen high looks shockingly clean, something I didn't expect at all. Is that simply due to NW vs CW? Or is the i5T really than bad? I honestly had thought the i5T, while not having the best characteristics, still had a pretty good beam overall.
    The clip is annoyingly stiff to get the light easily put away one handed, but I'm learning.
    I saw some reviewers mention heat not being a huge issue... Personally I couldn't touch the pill end of the light on turbo. I'm disappointed they removed the proximity sensor, as the reviews I saw all mentioned the override function working well.
    I was strongly looking at getting the M150 on Amazon, but due to the M150 not being on sale, and the Pro ending up similarly priced, I decided I just couldn't look past the bonkers numbers on the Pro. I've been in instances where I wanted more punch from my i5T, so power won over emitter for me.

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The above BBL nature of the NW emitter cleans up a lot on turbo. It gets closer to BBL. If you want to know more about that, heck out this lengthy treatise on DUV and tint: th-cam.com/video/agIbkfuZjH4/w-d-xo.html

    • @OddBall1997
      @OddBall1997 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, that's an awesome resource!
      Looking closely at a couple of those charts makes me realize that I was getting my wires crossed, since I mainly noticed the pink halo on lower levels (up against the wall like in your video) with the definite yellow tints. I don't think I'd realized that yellow was also above BBL like green.
      I'm also starting to question something I saw online that listed my phone's flash as something like 96 CRI and 3800 CCT... because the phone has a suspiciously similar yellow cast to it.
      I was using my phone as a basis for what a good emitter looks like, so that seemingly didn't help either.

    I had seen a review on a warrior mini 2 and there was stated that it has a luminus SST40. I dont know where he got this info. Olight doesnt mention their leds anywhere. But luminus SST 20, 40 and 70 are famous for having a green tint as olight has so this would fit. But I saw a lot of reviews from convoys with luminus led's and they didnt had a green tint. I ordered one with a SST40 in 5000k and mine also has no green tint. How is it that cheap convoy (by the way the build quality is very good) is able to get this fixed what fenix, olight etc dont.
