Great review, very helpful! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching!
The big beast is the fenix hp30r v2.0 and thank you.
I love the HM71r great review thank you.
It is a solid option for sure! Thanks for watching!
And update on the HM71r from me is i love the HmM71r so much that i bought 2 😂😂.
Ever own coast xph34r? I've bought 3 and 2 additional batteries. I'm done. Just don't know which way to go. Nitecore with the 9 hour charge time? pffft....
A good comparison of some Fenix headlamps. I use my Olight Perun Mini 2 neutral white as you do your HM50R V2. One thing that would keep me from the HM50R V2 is that that it does not have a low enough setting. Although a bit bright for a true moonlight I can do a lot with the 2 lumens for 10 days of the Perun 2 Mini so actually prefer that level in a headlamp. If I need more light, I agree that the HM65R-T is an awesome headlamp. I like the warm/neutral tint of the flood light. With the spot on low and the flood on a level or two up it is an awesome headlamp if one really had to do a lot at night. It is a very powerful headlamp for its size and weight--good use of magnesium alloy to keep the weight down. Its only con is that the otherwise terrific headband is a bit to short over hats or helmets--especially if one has a large head size. I read a comment that a longer one was going to be offered, but the last I checked with Fenix, that had not happened. That was many months ago though. The interface of the HM65R-T is good, but usually has me mis-hitting it a time or two as I am more used to the usual Olight UI. For me, it is therefore probably especially good, as you point out, that it does not have mode memory. LOL.
I concur completely about the low of the HM50R V2. I had previously edc'd an Olight H1 Nova from 2017 until 2023 and absolutely love the moonlight mode it has. The HM50R V2 makes me use the red mode a lot more than I ever have on a light because of the higher low white mode, but even it is still a bit much.
I believe they have finally made a longer headband on the HM65R-T
I’m hiking for 3 days so 2 nights il be walking at night also I need something that would last all night with an extra battery which one should I go with
The HM71R with a spare battery would be my go to. If you were willing to go larger than the top of the line HP30R V2 (not shown) would be really good
@@the_gear_shak I went with the HM71r what setting you think I should go with to last both nights
Medium setting will last both night with single battery
