The officer standing behind the victim’s father during the impact statement looked like he was going to cry. He was trying to stay strong & keep it together. It’s rare to see an officer show emotion like that. Thank goodness that the five year olds 10 y.o. brother didn’t give an impact statement because if he had, the entire courtroom would have lost it and fallen apart. The defendant is a low life coward to say what he said to the family. There’s a special place in hell for people like him.

I love the judge for not giving him a life sentence! With a life sentence, you are eligible for a parole hearing after 10 years.
Sometimes the parole board will have that soft ridiculous mentality. I work for the MDOC, so I've seen this.
This means that he has to serve at the very least 40 years. (Though I feel the best option be the death sentence).
Will he have to serve the full 40 if he is not granted parole after the 10 years?

Michigan doesnt have the death penalty . I have 4 family members that have worked in the Michigan Department of Corrections . My sister was the secretary for the warden . My daughter in law was a guard and an EMS medical staff . My son worked as a tower guard but now hes a deputy sherrif for his hometown county . He plans on being a Michigan state police as soon as he finishes his schooling & training . Very proud of my family we got cops & firefighters & yes 1 lawyer in my family ❤️💪

The Judge did a good job with sentencing and imposing what he felt would keep these individuals in jail for a very long time. This is so sad and my heartbreaks for this family. The criminals don't even appear remorseful. How can they be this cold? Somethings we will never understand!
