Had me in tears watching this too. It's a beautiful thing to see when you see a runner that happy after working so hard for something. I have never really been one for chasing the 6 ⭐'s but (after running London, Berlin and NYC in 2017) and qualifying for Boston 2025 (with a 14 mins 29 secs buffer) I had Alan telling me that I should in the pub after Southwold 10k at the weekend. I am pretty sure that I could qualify for Chicago any year leaving me chasing Tokyo but it's that money commitment stopping me from chasing other dreams. Just two years ago I didn't think that I would be trying to tick Boston off and I was aiminy at a return to running in Africa and having a crack at Comrades + ticking off a Marathon on the other Continents that I have yet to run on. I still think that the 6 ⭐'s is a MAJOR accomplishment and pretty incredible when done over just 2 years as you have done, absolutely amazing!! 🙂 Great to see Hayden. Look forwards to seeing what you get up to next.
Thank you for your kind words! It’s a big challenge and commitment in so many ways including financial I fully agree but you know what, I wouldn’t change it for the world. You are so close and knowing you have Boston in the bag….. Go for it! Be rewarded for your hard work 👊👊
@@Runningwithhayden It is tempting as I need to do a race in Asia sometime and we will need to wait and see what happens with Sydney and the changes that they must make to the course to become a Major. Who knows how many Majors we could have by the time that I may get the opportunity to tick another one off after Boston 2025 (that's another reason that you have done so incredibly well to get all 6 ⭐'s ticked off in such a short space of time). If we ultimately end up with a 9⭐ Medal then that is going to be one enormous piece of bling!! 😂 I would also feel a little guilty if I kept going away and running races that I might be able to run qualifying times for and/or get around when Kirsty has to hope she could just get lucky in the ballot. 4 Majors including NYC and Boston is far more than I ever imagined that I would do and if that's the way that it stays then I will remain more than happy with that 🙂 Gives me an understanding and appreciation of what it takes to tick off all 6 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ awesome!! 👍
Oh Hayden. Awesome video. Very emtional. I just wanted someone to give you a hug when you were all emotional. Then saw most important person to deliver it with you moment with Lulu ❤ You are outstanding.🙌🏽
Well done, I remember standing next to you in the corral because I photo-bombed Fordy's group photo!! That's a great achievement, and inspiring, I have 1, 5 to go!!
Sobbed my little heart out at this video from start to finish - whilst putting a powerpoint presentation together to show my husband as to why i should complete the other 5 marathons! thank you from the bottom of my heart for inspiring me so much!!
Awesome, well done on such an amazing achievement that only a few will ever get to experience. Final star...for now. There are plans to add a 7th star in 2025 so something to look forward to.
you legend Hayden. well done for doing all 6 Majors and getting that 6 start medal. the NYC one looks quite tough. you can see the emotion on your face when you crossed that fnish line. huge respect to you
Congratulations, Hayden, what an incredible accomplishment, loved following along with you as you completed this long held dream. So emotional (in the best of ways) and inspiring. Thank you for sharing and best of luck in your future running journey! Cheers from Canada, Scott🤓
You smashed it mate!!!! Congratulations on your achievement and getting that last star ⭐️ truly inspirational and a leader within the running community!!!
Thank you! It’s hard to rate them as all so different in course set up and travel etc. Boston and Chicago defo best then New York and London and then Berlin and Tokyo sit at the end I feel. Super halves next is a good shout I’m thinking
Well done Hayden, massive achievement! Was a pleasure to meet you in the crowds at London Marathon this year and thank you for the tips and help from the virtual running club. It’s quite an emotional watch, don’t know how you held it together at the end.
Don't know how I stumbled on your channel Hayden, but that was mega!! I was crying with you at the end! Ah! I think it's because we both did the Kingston Half this year! My local half too!! Congrats on your efforts. 😁
Thank you buddy! It certainly was an emotional end to the year 🤣🤣 Kingston Half funnily enough was right there as one of my favourites this year. Always good to running 🏃♀️ n home soil ! Happy New Year Buddy 👍
Great video for some reason your video hadn’t come up on my feed. Good to know New York is tough, which I have run, Chicago in a few weeks should be easier.
@@Runningwithhayden I'm not surprised your still emotional, it's a massive achievement. I only know you from watching your videos, but if I did id definitely buy you a pint 🍻 It's people like you that inspire me to run. I have signed up for my first ever Marathon next year in Manchester, nervous but excited at the same time.
@Runningwithhayden cheers mate. I have an entry for the New York marathon next year. As a friend and I ran the New York Half and got the qualification time to enter. Well, all the best for the rest of 2023 👍🏿💪🏿
Congrats mate. I’ve still another two to go. Did NYC a few weeks ago myself. Can’t speak for Boston as haven’t done it yet, but this was by far the hardest marathon I’ve done. Whilst the best (the crowd was different level) those bridges and long avenues which steadily rise were absolute killers. My legs were like cement by mile 18!
@@Runningwithhayden cheers dude. Will never get a qualifying time for Boston, so eagerly awaiting the results of the Abbott lottery. Have a couple of chances in that as also did one of the virtual races in their road to the majors series. Fingers crossed 🤞. Don’t fancy the charity route for it, as got speaking to a few people in NYC and they said the fundraising requirement was near $10k now.
Thank you! Yeah it’s a tough call between the two? You are right about Boston but sometimes them downhills throw you off big time! They are both still epic marathons though ❤️
