I usually sleep as much as possible on Thursday and Friday before the marathon(usually on Sunday) because I’m sometimes nervous Saturday night. I consume electrolytes based on heat and humidity. I try to run even splits every mile. And, like you said we need to consume so many more calories than the normal. I’m in the 60 grams/ hour range. I’ll try the 90g/hr range at my next marathon. And I’ll attach my electrolyte caps to my energy gels! Thank you Floris! And congratulations on a job well done at London! You finished strong!
"why is it, after running probably after 50 marathons I still get emotional" I teared up with you and I normally don't do that, but I know how much that moment means to people after all that training. GREAT JOB!
running relaxed is the best point for me - once i start to think about metrics and watch the clock, my hb goes up. just relax and run through your body checking whether you're overly tense somewhere
The best mantra I've heard lately is "win or learn." It's easy to get stuck in your own head when a training run doesn't go to plan, but even a 'failure' is experience gained that can make you stronger when the next run starts. Amazing run, congrats!!
Awesome video! I think the biggest lesson for me is to "run in the moment, and run relaxed", since it is so easy for me to focus on how hard it is and not about how fun it is. Keep up the great work man!
I find the mental race so interesting, sure running the marathon is an impressive physical feat, but without overcomming those mental hurdles you wouldn't be able to get close to the finish line, amazing watch, congrats!
My biggest takeaway was to take in the atmosphere and enjoy all the work you’ve put in 🎉 training for my first marathon and this is exactly what I needed!!
Great video - I'm training for my first marathon (Grandma's in Duluth, MN) at age 63. Taking fuel early and consistently throughout the run. That's my takeaway for today -thanks!
Awesome run Floris! London was my first marathon and I finished in 2:59! I think we were in the same yellow starting pen! It's my dream to run all 6 World Majors - congratulations on an amazing achievement!
"It doesn't matter" you inspired me to start running. Started low heart rate training may 1st 2024 making progress but that doesn't matter, I'm going to keep running like no one is watching. Cheers
Think in the people😢that supported your race ❤️ that is my lesson. i Ran Leipzig Marathon on Sunday, i also cried. 4 hours and 25 min. I did Frankfurt before that in 5 hours 20. Love your content
Floris, my favourite lesson/takeaway from your London Marathon: take in plenty of gels/nutrition. I've just finished Boston, April 2024, and had to eat a few extra gels on the back half (Maurten Gels supplied) that I hadn't tried before! I have a pretty good stomach so wasn't a problem, fortunately. Thank you for your truly inspiring videos.
Woo Hoo, @FlorisGierman. Congrats on 6!! #personalbest! "Get to the start line early!" First marathon in less than one week for me. Branding that start line comment in my head.
My favourite piece of advice from this video: run relaxed and focus on breathing. Sounds so counter intuitive when you’re doing something so stressful but Marathons are all about the mind and this piece of advise encapsulates perfectly! Congrats on all 6 majors Floris, love your channel :)
Great takeaways right there Hassan. It's indeed counter intuitive but when we run relaxed, we use less energy to move forward. Enjoy your running journey!
Fantastic Floris! I’m honoured to have shared a few hundred metres with my mentor! I hope you enjoy a nice and relaxing recovery with your loved ones! Ersin 🫡
You were running backwards downhill at 6:45 minute miles hahaha, stoked to see you out there on the course Ersin. Keep doing what you're doing. More PB's ahead for you. Cheers
My favorite comment you made was to stay in the moment and be relaxed when it gets difficult towards the end of the marathon. This advice applies to the daily challenges we each face in this life. Life gets challenging, but we can focus on our breathing, calming ourselves in the moment. Thank you for your inspiration.
The highest level of motivation for me is knowing my family is at the finish line waiting for me, proud of me for accomplishing something so huge. Mantra then is “KEEP. GOING. For them!!!”
Congratulations on London 2024. The atmosphere is rocking. Lesson learned...try everything during training. Nothing new on race day. I have my 1st OC Marathon in 11 days. Feeling a bit nervous.
subscribed, and my favorite takeaway from this video is how amazing the London marathon is, I was never planning on running it but this video really tempts me! And if I win it's not the shoes I want, I would like to do a long run with you one weekend (I live near Long Beach). Congratulations on an amazing race!
London is such a special race. Then again, the Long Beach Marathon was my first one in 2007 and that's a nice place to train and race too. All the best
“Marathons are hard, and I can do hard things” what a quote! That’s what I feel after finishing my first marathon this year. Congrats on finishing the sixth star, it was so inspiring and emotional❤ hope I can do all six in the future just like you! Love from Taiwan🇹🇼
Even before you showed us your stats (splits), I could tell that your pacing was excellent, from very early on, and maintained throughout. Not so easy with the excitement and all. The emotion and the crying after, I believe, is part of the experience (unless one is a pro, where it is just another race). To me a marathon brings one beyond’, and the resulting emotion, with all the training, with all the support from the family, is priceless. Cry, baby, cry. There is chaos in the world, and for a few hours, with a few thousand others, a runnner’s communion has happened. One with the Universe. Apologies for the nostalgia. Well done mentor. Thx for sharing the moment.
Wow such a well thought out comment. Indeed marathons surely bring a lot of different emotions up in a beautiful way. All the best on your running journey!
Congrats on the 6 🏅 ‘s 👍🏼🙌🏼👏🏼. Biggest lesson learned in a Marathon, you never know what that day will be bringing you at. So you can only prepare yourself for anything and everything.
Spot on, when we anticipate that anything can happen on race day, it surely helps reduce the stress levels when things happen. All about creative problem solving in the moment. Thanks and cheers Luis!
I think the best lesson for me was from one of your previous video to run slow and get more into zone 2 training, might be a very beginner lesson but for me it changed the whole view on how to look at running training - thank you and congrats for that huge medal
Congratulations Floris 🎉 so impressed by your humility and depth of knowledge and experience in running. From little tips to grab water at the end or to reach early to avoid the long queues, to nutrition as you go, everything counts. To top it all the best tip - when you are feeling lost or low, to think about the loved ones, the people who matter and must have made sacrifices at some stage to see you achieve what you have is priceless 👌👏🏽👏🏽 Highlighting a time stamp will not be sufficient. Hats off to actually record your 6th major, finishing strong 💪 . Wow!
Definitely amazing inspiration and lht that you teach us not only in this video but in everyother. I've been so greatfull for finding out about your chanel, never run in my life and just wanted to try something new without anything on my mind, did first couple of runs without any knoladge and after that discovered you. In the last 2 months I've went from 7'/km to almost 6'/km and that is not the best part, the best part is that I feel amazing after everyrun and injury free. Thank you one more time!
So happy for you Floris! Coach, you lead by example, and the keys you offer make all the difference. Under-fuelling is a big challenge, you helped me with this. But, it’s the ability you share and show to dig deep and push … I still need to be better here! And the hat backwards, getting down to business, love it brother 🙌
Top video, massive congratulations Floris. Ran in London in last year in 3.08, by far my best running experience! Top 3 lessons from this video were definitely; pacing, nutrition and run the mile your in. Sound advice as always! Taking these points on as I continue to chase the sub 3 dream 🏃♂️
When the going gets tough think of my friend Mark Ankers; throat cancer, no lower jaw, saliva glands, no feeling in his face to his chest, 18 hour life saving operation, bone grafts from his leg, he’s 49 and has a wife and daughter and through it all he completed London 2024. Use these people as your inspiration and those people around you who endure, support and love you no matter what. This is the only lesson you need to take away, you can do it.
There's so much here about the "peak experience" that crosses the border between sport and art... how to maximize the potential of achieving it... how to perform on the day... how to recognize the euphoria of it and love being in the moment. Great work, Floris. Tim Lawler.
Congratiulations! You inspired me to get back into running. Your Podcast and videos have been such a nice place for tips. I never thought of doing low heart rate training, doing it now though. Thank you for that!
Congrats on finishing all six Majors! You are usually so chilled even when things get tough, and I don’t recall ever seeing you get emotional. Can tell this is a big deal for you. I myself am aiming for sub 315 later this year and will check out your program. Cheers!
Thank yoU! I've had a few other races and running experiences with high emotions (Berlin video and Lawrence van Lingen interview video for example), but London surely was a special place to race. Exciting Sub 315 goal this year, enjoy the process!
Congratulations Floris , great finish. I think there were many valuable lessons in this video starting with pacing yourself, fueling, enjoy the moment and be grateful and acknowledge those that supported you through the whole process and have supported you throughout life. I love the emotion at the end, I too get emotional but it's a great feeling. It is the culmination of months of hard work. My lesson from my last marathon is to fuel, I joined a group and they only taught us about running, pacing, hill training etc., but never about fueling, so I only had breakfast, and then I went, I didn't carry water or took water throughout. I finished in 3:47 but recovery was so painful and it took a long time.
I have a friend who got his wheel last year in Tokyo and this marathon also happened to be recognized by Guinness World Records as the most people obtaining that wheel of medals. I just mentioned this because you touched my heart with your words of appreciation to your family. You really had me going as well. Im preparing for my first marathon in the midst of some chaotic but manageable issues at the same time. Congratulations on your great accomplishment and thank you so much for sharing your experience, wisdom and compassion.
Fantastic video thanks Floris. As part of training I like to do Parkruns regularly at my max pace. This helps me psychologically for longer events - with 5kms to go, I know "I've got this - it's just one Parkrun" and trust that muscle memory will take over and give me a final boost to the finish line
Flo! Huge thank you for everything you’ve done to get knowledge out there and the support you have given me. London was the best race I’ve ever done I didn’t get the timeI wanted but I did everything I could on the day and executed well. 15 min PB
The crowds were louder than I can remember at any of the other World Majors. Might also have been the amount of caffeine, gels and Ketone shots I took to get to that finish line :)
Congrats Floris! An absolutely killer achievement. I love the raw emotion you express during the run. It’s hard work and you show it. My happiest moments are seeing the hard work on race day. I find I regularly doubt my capability during workouts, but race day tells the story!
First, a big Congratulations on your 6th Star Floris!! I always enjoy your videos and this one was entertaining and informative and so real. I cried with you at the end. I ran London as well (my 3rd major and 19th marathon) and didn't have a great day, only because I was not mentally prepared for all of the walkers/costumes that slowed the runners in the middle and back of the pack to an extreme and also the noise level (I have PTSD and it was a bit overwhelming). However, I am grateful for the experience and being able to keep doing this at age 70. I loved all of your tips, but the "fuel early" (and often) is a lesson it took me a long time to learn. I would say for any heavy sweater out there (even in cool weather) make sure your hydration plan includes hyperhydrating and electrolytes the day/days before the race, and during the race. Sorry I missed you there.
I just ran my first half marathon in Vienna past weekend. Made it in 1:52 and what helped me the most was being present. Breathing, relaxing, posture, water, carbs and for sure as well a mantra, my whole family and my mother who passed a way two weeks ago were carrying me through ❤ Btw. I just started crying with you. 😭 thank you for sharing 🙏🏼
Awww appreciate your emotional connection there. My condolences to you and your family. Well done on your first half marathons, you surely had the right mindset there. Take care
Smiles for miles! Yay! I got emotional watching this video too! When you were running under Tower Bridge and at the finish - the exact moments I got emotional when I was running London Big Half last year😊
Massive congratulations on the Sixth Star. So very well deserved. I love the raw emotion at the end. It’s an emotional journey. Without the support of loved ones in our lives, it’s near impossible to accomplish. Such wonderful takeaways. Always pace yourself. Too many runners get too emotional at the beginning. It leads to struggles at the end. So happy for you.
The emotions surely get real when stripped raw from all layers and fully present in last few miles. Stoked to launch our podcast episode soon Scott. Keep inspiring my friends. Cheers
Hey Floris, great to see you upload so soon after Sunday. Big thrill to see you in person for the shake-out amd raffle; very delighted with my Path Projects cap. The Path Projects gear looks awesome. I remember your two takeaways before the shake-out which you also mention in the video and that is to fuel up early on and watch the pace at the start - soooo true. V.important to maintain your taget pace; the euphoria can have you almost running at speed interval pace. Good advice from you which I passed on to our marathon team of 12 runners. Inspiring stuff, great to see you and hopefully bump into you at another event. 👍💪🤜🤛
Freaking FANTASTIC Floris ! That was a very classy way to put the cherry on top of the cake, great splits, sub 3 …. and you turn this very personal victory lap into the best coaching for folks working on star number 1. Great video too, joy on display.
Thanks a bunch, really appreciate you. I knew I wasn't in shape to PR and wanted to make this London 6th Star a special ender of this journey. What a day. Enjoy your running journey @5128goldenrod
Thanks Flo. As I watched you veering the end I got emotional. I'm less than 2 weeks from my attempt now. Feeling so scared. Thank you for always taking us along and all the great advice here and on The Extra Milest.
Fantastic video Floris! Congrats on completing the 6 Majors! I was running London as well on Sunday and I can relate all the emotions at the finish line and throughout the whole race. The shorts with pockets tips is something I will definitely implement in the future as the belt proved to be a bit too cumbersome to handle on the day. Keep it up! :)
Well done on London! Yes those emotions can surely be real at the finish line. The shorts and running handsfree without bounce can surely make a difference. Have a good recovery!
Wonderful video - Thankyou so much for your honesty near the end. My favourite quote was not to get ahead of yourself- run the k you’re in and relax ! Such good advice 😊
Congrats! Amazing achievement on the 6 stars. I'm emotional just watching you achieve your goal. I'm running my first full marathon in under 2 weeks. Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm getting pretty stoked, too. Love your takeaways and advice about finishing the race and pushing too hard and cramping at the end.
Congratulations!! Every marathon is a new journey of sorts. You know there will be moments of high and low. And then a humbling feeling including gratitude that you were able to do it!! Emotional, what a wonderful experience! I wish everyone gets to experience that truly special feeling! 😅🙏
Congratulations!!! Your video really projected the atmosphere of the race!! My biggest takeaway was the reminder about fueling enough and fueling early. I have only run one marathon, and in the last 15k I was having a hard time consuming anything. I was really glad that I had been very consistent with fueling early on. I was shocked at how many people around me were consuming so little. Even us slower runners need enough carbs to keep moving.
Great video! I felt the emotions in the video! Hopefully, next year, it will be me running the course. From what I can see, the key lesson is nutrition during and before the marathon.
"nutrition is absolutely key", this is my next focus on my running journey a proper nutrition that is essential for optimizing running performance, supporting recovery, and maintaining overall health and well-being. Hoping to run a major marathon someday.
Congratulations Flo, amazing time given your busy schedule and mega job getting your 6th star! Totally relate to thinking of loved ones when running get tough and you have to dig deep, and to keep it one km at a time. Thank you for the video.
My biggest takeaway from my journey this far is definitely the importance of low heartrate training! It really changed a lot for me, it got me to actually enjoy running, vs it feeling like a chore everytime before!
My lesson is: run a first marathon! If you haven’t done one, and you’re sitting here on TH-cam thinking about trying this or that, just do it. Follow a program, one of this guy’s if you’re smart, but just get it done. You will never learn more about yourself than running a first marathon. And, as Albert Einstein would say, it’s not until you know your limits that you can begin to go beyond them. Congrats Flo, thanks for doing the extra work of sharing it!
🚨BIG GIVEAWAY!! Win a pair of running shoes of your choice (up to $300 value). To enter, subscribe to my TH-cam channel and comment: what is your favorite lesson, takeaway or quote from this video OR from your own training or racing journey? Winner will be announced July 1, 2024.🚨
July 1 - Canada Day - yay!
That’s very nice of you mate
I usually sleep as much as possible on Thursday and Friday before the marathon(usually on Sunday) because I’m sometimes nervous Saturday night. I consume electrolytes based on heat and humidity. I try to run even splits every mile. And, like you said we need to consume so many more calories than the normal. I’m in the 60 grams/ hour range. I’ll try the 90g/hr range at my next marathon. And I’ll attach my electrolyte caps to my energy gels! Thank you Floris! And congratulations on a job well done at London! You finished strong!
Lesson from this video: Know the course. I have subscribed. I am in South Africa though, hoping to win the running shoes.
Pacing, i start with a goal pace instead little bit slower; i run a PB but not a goal time and salt pill strategy is interesting to me
"why is it, after running probably after 50 marathons I still get emotional" I teared up with you and I normally don't do that, but I know how much that moment means to people after all that training. GREAT JOB!
Awww, appreciate that, surely feels emotional even editing some of that. Appreciate you!
Holy shit, I got emotional and it's not even me running.
Congratulations, super well done and what a piece of art this video is.
SO INSPIRING!!
Aww appreciate you! 🙏🙌
running relaxed is the best point for me - once i start to think about metrics and watch the clock, my hb goes up. just relax and run through your body checking whether you're overly tense somewhere
That’s I fully agree
Spot on, being able to run relaxed, present in the moment, things will flow well.
Floris you have gift to give exactly information runners need! And authentic ! Love it!
Appreciate you Jozef. Let's swim, climb and ice bath soon!
“This is hard, and I do hard things” LOVE THIS!!! ❤
Amazing video. Congrats. So great to catch up here in London. Hope we can meet again.
So great to hang in London Tomas. Keep doing what you're doing my friend. Well done on your own Marathon last weekend. Let's stay in touch. Cheers
same 👍👍
The best mantra I've heard lately is "win or learn." It's easy to get stuck in your own head when a training run doesn't go to plan, but even a 'failure' is experience gained that can make you stronger when the next run starts.
Amazing run, congrats!!
spot on, I love that!
Biggest lesson from this video: You get a sick-ass medal for completing one of each world majors. I might need to become a marathon runner now.
haha, well worth it :)
“”focus on 1 mile at the time “ I love it 😊
Great takeaway right there!
"Run the mile you're in" is Sarah Hartley's (TRC) motto and I love it
‘When it gets hard dig deep.’ Awesome time dude. Doing a Marathon next year. 👍
Awesome video! I think the biggest lesson for me is to "run in the moment, and run relaxed", since it is so easy for me to focus on how hard it is and not about how fun it is. Keep up the great work man!
Oh the bridge…..made me so emotional when I ran that marathon
I find the mental race so interesting, sure running the marathon is an impressive physical feat, but without overcomming those mental hurdles you wouldn't be able to get close to the finish line, amazing watch, congrats!
Totally, the struggle can be real and overcoming that is such an incredible feeling.
Love it, you’ll ALWAYS remember your first marathon, enjoy!
Awesome run Floris! London was my first marathon and I finished in 2:59! I think we were in the same yellow starting pen! It's my dream to run all 6 World Majors - congratulations on an amazing achievement!
Nice work! Sub 3 on your first marathon is incredible
LET’S GO FLORIS!!!!!!!!!! EPIC!!!
Marathons are so epic. Hope your legs are recovering well post Boston! Keep inspiring my friend.
Yes marathons can be such a beautiful rollercoaster of an event. Well done on your marathon journey. Thank you, that means a lot.
New here, but blown away by the ability to do sub 3-hr while filming/talking! Love the pace band too!
You will ALWAYS remember your first marathon, enjoy, let me know how it goes!
"Run in the moment, run relaxed." Awesome advice which can be used in training or in a race. Well done Floris..
"Marathon is hard and I can do the hard thing" Love it. Congrats on your 6th star Flo.
Spot on! Thanks so much, appreciate you
My favourite piece of advice from this video: run relaxed and focus on breathing.
Great job Floris 🙂 God bless you. Running my 1st marathon in October.
Excellent, excited for your first marathon. Hope some of these insights help prevent you from blowing up big time hahaha
“Let’s go, let’s finish strong.” Good reminder for when it gets harder later on.
Great video man!!
Whatever it takes to get to that finish line John! Thanks so much
Fantastic Floris!
Cheers
You really captured the excitement, emotion and challenge of the London marathon. Gripping and stirring stuff! Thanks and congrats!
Glad you can appreciate the video, London surely had a crazy excited crowd!
Love the tip about taping a salt pill to the gels - so simple and yet ingenious!
What a bucket list achievement! Definitely something I'd love to do as well. Congratulations Floris it looked like an amazing day :)
Still on a post marathon high for sure, it was a very special day. Thanks Toby!
I got emotional watching that Floris. Amazing. 🙌🏼
Well done Floris, I like that "think about the next km", not about how much is left till the finish.
Yes, running marathons is such a mental game!
I loved the tip on taping a salt pill to the gel. Also that emotion at the end of the marathon is just so touching! Congratulations on a great race.
The little details can help make race day easier. 🙏
Smiles for miles - best takeaway, lol! The entire video was so inspiring.
So important we find joy in the training and racing journey. Glad you enjoyed it Rachael!
Great marathon experience & result, to run a sub 3 filming, & teaching is awesome, congrats on conquering the 6 World Majors medal ✅🥳🌴👣👍🏻✌️🏃🏽♂️
The London crowds surely helped make that happen. Thank yoU!
My favorite comment you made was to stay in the moment and be relaxed when it gets difficult towards the end of the marathon. This advice applies to the daily challenges we each face in this life. Life gets challenging, but we can focus on our breathing, calming ourselves in the moment. Thank you for your inspiration.
Spot on about this applying to daily life too!
The highest level of motivation for me is knowing my family is at the finish line waiting for me, proud of me for accomplishing something so huge. Mantra then is “KEEP. GOING. For them!!!”
Love that!
Congratulations on London 2024. The atmosphere is rocking. Lesson learned...try everything during training. Nothing new on race day. I have my 1st OC Marathon in 11 days. Feeling a bit nervous.
Spot on, you'll crush it at the OC marathon, that's not far from my place in Irvine. Enjoy!!
Congrats on the 6 star medal!!! 1 mile at a time! Always celebrate your achievement and training accomplishments!
Spot on and THANK YOU!
🎉Congratulations and well done ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Running the mile that you’re in is always something I have to remind myself to do!
Yes, being present can make sure a different, vs letting our minds wander too far ahead. Thank yoU!
So awesome, Floris! 😀
Thank you! Cheers!

The low heart rate training and developing a solid aerobic base in training, can surely come in handy on race day. Thank you @lucabauckhage
absolute champion , well done 👍👍what an outstanding achievement , thanks for all the great videos and advice .
Really appreciate you!
Congratulations Floris 🎉 so impressed by your humility and depth of knowledge and experience in running. That 'hold it together man'. I felt that emotion. Well done!
Same here! :) Thank you Ryan

Happy to hear that David, means a lot! Thank you

Use these people as your inspiration and those people around you who endure, support and love you no matter what. This is the only lesson you need to take away, you can do it.
Spot on, sending positive thoughts to your friend and his family. That can be a huge inspiration for sure. Well said Mike
There's so much here about the "peak experience" that crosses the border between sport and art... how to maximize the potential of achieving it... how to perform on the day... how to recognize the euphoria of it and love being in the moment. Great work, Floris. Tim Lawler.
Appreciate that Tim, thank you for seeing it that way
Thank you for sharing it exactly like this and congratulations on your 6 star
You are so welcome. Thank you!
Congrats Floris! So wonderful to meet you during the shakeout!
Same here! Thanks for coming out to the shakeout!
You are an inspiration my friend, you truly are.
Thanks so much, I appreciate you my friend!
Congratiulations! You inspired me to get back into running. Your Podcast and videos have been such a nice place for tips. I never thought of doing low heart rate training, doing it now though. Thank you for that!
O wow, stoked to hear that. Enjoy your low HR training journey. Cheers
I appreciated the reminder to not try new things on race day. Thanks for the really encouraging video.
Thank you so much 😀
I have a friend who got his wheel last year in Tokyo and this marathon also happened to be recognized by Guinness World Records as the most people obtaining that wheel of medals.
15 min PB
Wow crushed it with your 15 min PB, that's a huge improvement. Keep showing up, more PB's ahead. Cheers
Glad to see you enjoyed the crowds. What a way to finish the 6 stars! Smiled all the way through watching this.
Spot on, well said! 🙏🙌
The spanish guy carrying his mom... He is great!
Well done on your 19th marathon! The right hydration and nutrition can surely make a big difference.
I just ran my first half marathon in Vienna past weekend. Made it in 1:52 and what helped me the most was being present. Breathing, relaxing, posture, water, carbs and for sure as well a mantra, my whole family and my mother who passed a way two weeks ago were carrying me through ❤
Btw.
When you were running under Tower Bridge and at the finish - the exact moments I got emotional when I was running London Big Half last year😊
Totally!! Those spots are incredible, what a wild rollercoaster marathons can be!
Great to see you at the shakeout run Gary and spot on takeaways right there! London surely is a special place to run.
Andy Wheatcroft btw….stupid Gmail handle thing
Beautiful, thank you Flo for sharing your journey with us!
My pleasure!! Thank you Ludan8181
Congratulations!!! Awesome race!
Great advice as always!
It was awesome to see you there at 6 star booth.
Roman.
Great seeing you out there Roman, congrats on your running journey as well! Have a good recovery. Cheers
What a fantastic achievement and a sense of pride in your supporters, family and kids. Great job! Very inspiring.
Thank you, that was a special race to finish the 6 Star
Congratulations on your fantastic achievement! My favorite takeaway was to run relaxed, and take in enough fuel.
Great takeaway right there!
Thank you for sharing this Floris❣️’know your course!’ Champion!💪💪💪🤩
Appreciate you @jenniferkellett4314 London surely is special. Excited for your upcoming 6th Star
Thanks Flo. As I watched you veering the end I got emotional. I'm less than 2 weeks from my attempt now. Feeling so scared. Thank you for always taking us along and all the great advice here and on The Extra Milest.
Totally normal to feel scared, you got this! Enjoy the process, you'll grow a lot through all these experiences. Thank you.
Well done Floris!! Well deserved & all the best!! You’re a real inspiration!! 🙏
Get some much deserved rest!
Thank you so much! Nice to absolutely chill from running this week :)
Congratulations,Floris! You’re an inspiration.
🙏
Wonderful video - Thankyou so much for your honesty near the end. My favourite quote was not to get ahead of yourself- run the k you’re in and relax ! Such good advice 😊
Spot on, happy to hear that!
Ahh that means a lot. Wish I knew these lessons before my first marathon. You're going to crush it, enjoy!
I got emotional just watching you finish! Such an achievement, bravo! ❤🎉
Awww, thank you. To be honest I got emotional editing it haha. All the best on your running and health journey.
Congrats mate just finished Boston at 2:59:55 just on unreal finish - enjoy the moment - would love to get the 6stars one day .
Wow incredible!! Talk about crushing it under 3 hours. Nice work
Congratulations!! Every marathon is a new journey of sorts. You know there will be moments of high and low. And then a humbling feeling including gratitude that you were able to do it!! Emotional, what a wonderful experience! I wish everyone gets to experience that truly special feeling! 😅🙏
So well said Ash!
Happy to hear that! Yes some of the digestion of calories can be challenging, this is why it's important we practice this on race day too.
Great video! I felt the emotions in the video! Hopefully, next year, it will be me running the course. From what I can see, the key lesson is nutrition during and before the marathon.
Nutrition is surely a big one. Best of luck!
Well done on showing this looks like an amazing time. I am doing my first of the big 6 in October for Chicago. See how it goes from there
You'll love Chicago, have a blast out there!
"nutrition is absolutely key", this is my next focus on my running journey a proper nutrition that is essential for optimizing running performance, supporting recovery, and maintaining overall health and well-being. Hoping to run a major marathon someday.
that can surely make a huge positive difference. let me know how it goes!
Congratulations Flo, amazing time given your busy schedule and mega job getting your 6th star! Totally relate to thinking of loved ones when running get tough and you have to dig deep, and to keep it one km at a time. Thank you for the video.
Nice when things work out on race day. Thank you @lamba105!
So inspiring! I'm starting my running journey
My biggest takeaway from my journey this far is definitely the importance of low heartrate training! It really changed a lot for me, it got me to actually enjoy running, vs it feeling like a chore everytime before!
Love hearing that, same for me!
Love you man!
Spot on Ethan, well said and I appreciate you! 🙏
