We got ourselves a generator, and a doggie house to hold it. Is there a noticable difference in volume if we deaden it. We tried, no house, only house, stage one, and stage two. Check out the results.
It appears that when there is the second layer if insulation, the sound just reflects off and makes it louder. You can use the same type of sound deadening that is used in a audio studio. Add a door for the front and if you have a DC connection on the generator you can use a car radiator fan in that rear round vent to exhaust the fumes and the heat. Make sure to keep those side vents open for incoming air. Just some thoughts. Good luck.

My brother thought that was a good idea too until after burning up 4 generators in a year. Air cooled engines need air.
