I am from Telugu Rastram Kakinada this is exactly how it was made in my mother’s house we make it in Savan for Varamahalakshmi pooja. In US I use food processor for the cooked dal mixture.

Every different part of Maharashtra has different way of making puran poli like North Maharashtra it is prepared the way u make rumali roti... In most of the households it is made with very fine wheat flour not maida and they don't use this much of oil...
@@fatsc6h6 Everybody does not recognize every language in India. Just like all northerners and westerners pool south india into one club. And Karnataka itself has 4/5 languages spoken, and these are not the dialects. Now do me a favor, tell me good Marathi movies which we can watch :) 💙

We follow the same procedure but my mil and my mom uses gehun ka ata , instead of maida and rice flour while rolling.
