    i'm a full timer 16 years. got a M-318 with same shower. Clean water spots off shower head then lightly spray BOESHIELD T-9 & wipe off with shop towel, let dry overnight. no water spots for 2 months!

    Tpms is wonderful. I noticed that I had 1 tire that the temp was going up. I was fortunate enough to be able to limp into town. Disgruntled worker did not pack my wheel bearings properly. Long story short, I had to replace my axle but never lost my tire nor any other detrimental happenings. I do watch it and always have thanks to y'all as I have watched you for 4 years!

    great video, i actually feel like i do not have to go see one in person now..... the only neg comment i would say(for me) is; DO NOT ever say "they" are giving you toooooo much space/storage, I know you might have some addl space you are not using but in my 45 years of camping I can tell you that "space" is ALWAYS needed for something, sometime.... wish I had cool neighbors like y'all that share the same interest, am looking at this model now so who knows? happy travels!!! 🤠

    Our RV is on a permanent spot, and I have no complaints about our showerhead, but I love watching these just for Chads testing! lol

    Years ago, we replaced a shower head in a house, and the new one was fantastic! It claimed something like 0.7 gpm, had a very "hard" spray, and included a soaping valve. I'm not sure where we bought it, but when it came time to sell that house, we didn't think it would be hard to replace, didn't even consider taking it with us. Big mistake. At our next couple of houses, we tried various replacements from Homeless Despot or Blowes, but nothing was nearly as good as that one. Now, with the fiver, it would be even more valuable to us, though it's nice that the showerhead that came with the rig is handheld. It was clearly meant for residential application, with a higher pressure and no real concern about flow.
    Our TPMS (TST) works just fine for the trailer, though at times it will stop getting a signal for one or another tire. The TST people kindly provided me with an additional signal booster, so all I have to do is find a good place to mount it, and provide it 12 VDC, and that problem should be solved. Given how long it's been since they gave me the booster, and the fact that I haven't done it yet, I have to assume it won't happen for a while. Unfortunately, the trailer and truck (2019 Ram) use incompatible TPMS, so even though the TST unit would easily display the truck and trailer tires all at once, we have to use the truck's own TPMS, which has no temperature readings. So far, the only good either system has done for us is give us peace of mind. We never bothered with the provided mounting for the TST display. We just put it where a cell phone could go, in the center console, on the passenger side. It's not really secured in any sense, but so far hasn't fallen out. I do use the suction cup mount for our trailer camera display (we really only use for rear-view), and that has failed a couple of times. I'm thinking of maybe doing some sort of screw-in mount to the dash, probably to the recessed area where the Powerlet socket is.
    Thanks for the video, and I look forward to the full walk-through. We used to both watch a lot of RV-related YT channels, but mostly stopped when we went fully mobile ourselves. Yours is one of the few RV-related channels I still check in on, and have subscribed to on my alternate account (this one) as well as the one the two of us use on the TV.

    If you want to finish the ends of the desks, go to Lowes and buy an End Cap set. They should be near the countertops. With any luck, you can match them up. And if you REGISTER (hint, hint, lol) with the V.A., and then Lowes, you can get a discount!

    Good afternoon, guys. Good to see Miss Daisy was high on the priority list. Personally, I would prefer the carpet on my paws as well.
    Your TPMS was about as simple as it could be, almost idiot proof.
    I really liked the cabinet in the multi use room. That was a very good idea, looks good there. Chad you get points for good craftsmanship, and Tara, you get double points for good supervisory skills.
    Great to see ya'll making this rig "yours."
    You should have many videos ahead. Can't wait to see them as well as see ya back on the road.
    God bless ya, guys. Be safe on the road during your travels. Ya'll have a blessed day.

    Chad, love the mounting of the storage cabinet. How did you locate the studs? I will be adding a kind of Murphy bed type of work space with storage containers. What I mean by Murphy bed type is the work platform will fold down to give you the work table and when not in use will fold up and secure all of the little storage boxes in place. Thanks for such great videos. Oh yea I’m doing the mods to a 397.

    Hello, Chad and Tara. I'm Mick. Long time watcher, first time commenter... ;)
    I'm curious how much your cargo weighs. We're looking at rigs and CCC is one of our biggest concerns. Between clothes, kitchen, RV gear, and a Harley we're worried about going over weight. So, knowing how much you have would be a great help. If you don't have time to answer, I understand. Keep up the great work and great travels. Loving the channel!

    I had an issue with my TPMS system. I spoke to the manufacturer and I believe he told me that you should not keep it hooked up permanently. Instead you should treat it like a cellphone. Charge it and then let it work off the battery for a while. At least that's my recollection.

    I like your videos. For the hole left over in the new storage cupboard after you moved the controller. Grand Design on their parts web page has peel and stick wallpaper that will match your color schema. They sell it by the foot and it comes in widths from 3/4 inch to maybe 36-48 inches. It's very handy for covering holes so they aren't visible.

    Love the video's!! One point to make about the shower head. You are not increasing the pressure, you are increasing the velocity. Doesn't matter if you are working off the pump or city water, the pressure you get from the source will be whatever it is. You are increasing the velocity by pushing that pressure thru a smaller oriface.

    • @ChangingLanes
      @ChangingLanes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Doesn't higher velocity mean higher pressure when it hits the subject? That's the pressure to which I'm referring... Not the pressure in the plumbing.

    Did you consider the TPMS integration to the truck? I use it on my '22 F350, and it works very well. In fact, It alerted me a few weeks ago to a slow "leak", that we now know was due to a mfg defect in the trailer wheel. Wheel paint held the pressure for several thousand miles, but it eventually started seeping out.
    PS, the airflow and silencer product are freaking awesome! DRAMATIC difference in sound levels.

    My GMC truck already has a TPMS on my truck tires that the tire shops know how to set and reset any time I have the tires serviced or replaced. I only have four travel trailer tires on the ground plus one spare, not six on the ground, plus a spare. Does your after market TPMS have a trailer five tire system that you think would work well as a supplement to the GMC system without there being any signal interference between them?

    Our biggest complaint about our 2 1/2 year old TST tire pressure monitor is that we can't read the screen in the sunlight. Is new TST system brighter than the old model?

    • @ChangingLanes

      We had the shade thing for our 507... This new one is mounted pretty low and doesn't see a lot of direct sunlight. Not sure that it's necessarily better in direct light but the display is certainly bigger and more readable.

    I see you have the “centromatic” (balance ring) on steer tires. Never seen them on a pickup I’ve seen many times on big trucks and I’ve had them on my big trucks (retired truck driver) how do u like them?

    I want to put the carpet on the outside steps but worried they will get very dirty. How do you keep them clean?

    • @SpykersB
      @SpykersB ปีที่แล้ว

      Go buy some in-door/out-door carpet at a home hardware store, (it’s made to dry fast when it gets wet), go pick up some grommets and a bunch of small bungie cords, easily make your own outside stair carpet n easy to remove and hose it down, dries completely in the sun in a couple hours. 🍻

      The RugUp step covers are actually designed to be removed and reattached. We are able to take them off, wash them and put them back on. 😄gear.changinglanesrv.com/?s=steps&post_type=product&type_aws=true&aws_id=1&aws_filter=1

    Can I ask Chad a question? I talked to both TPMS companies and asked them why do they not have a monitor that would show both temp and psi for all tires at once. They said they put what the customer wanted for the current monitors. Do you feel the monitor I am asking for is feasible and if so maybe you could talk to these companies and suggest it, please. I, Rick, drive a motorhome and sometimes don’t want to want to have to reach over to the TPMS because it might be unsafe.

    • @ChangingLanes
      @ChangingLanes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      12 tires temp and pressure all at once would just be too much info on one screen, IMO. If one tire goes out of range on temp or pressure, that tire becomes the active one in the display...

    Any thoughts on the crossfire tire equalization system or the centramatic wheel balances. I found some that I can still use my tpms to monitor the dually tires individually but equalize the pressure. Thanks and another great video.

      The Crossfire equalizers are great I had them on my semi truck mounting them to a dually pickup is not that easy. The Centramatic balancers are great I have them on my 2022 Ford F-450 if you have good hearing at low speed like going through a parking lot you can hear the balancing media moving inside the channel.
