I kept watching the video, thinking Oh No my favorite isn't on the list. And then the number one overall was the Trappe Door! I was like YES! We discovered this place over 10 years ago when it was still a hidden jewel. Our absolute favorite place to go!
Bob thanks for the great recommendations. We flew down from Baltimore area for our first visit to the region to scout retirement locations. (About 3 years out.) Started at the Charlotte airport and drove the triangle to Spartanburg, Greenville, down to Columbia, up to Rock Hill. Wasn't sure what we were doing and where we'd end up. Turns out, we tried 2 of your 5. One night we were looking for some pub food and found the Local Cue, which was as you advertised. We also were able to get to Trappe Door which turned out to be really wonderful. The beer and the food were both spectacular. Plus we got a nice evening in downtown.
The only thing that gives me pause about retiring in Greenville in 2024 IS the restaurant scene. We are pescatarian and it appears the restaurant scene doesn’t have many offerings for those that are mostly vegetarian…?
Irie Caribbean cuisine should be on that list they have the best Jamaican in Greenville food hands... Everything on their menu is delicious🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have eaten in about 10 places downtown I guess sick of it very expensive checks lousy service and mediocre food most likely steam table food Even Rick Owens was garbage the first time it was incredible so I went back but the salmon was garbage most likely they waited and waited and waited for a thaw and I started complaining and they cooked it while I was frozen it's no good yeah I paid for it though do not eat in Greenville unless you love McDonald's Burger King Wendy's type food fare

Love hearing that! Glad to know the food critic in me has still got it 😂
TFS! I agree 💯 with your top 5!! If there was a 6, I’d say The Peddler.
Ty
Good list, now seeing we are in the south how about BBQ, Diner and Southern Comfort Food.
I can definitely do a video on the best BBQ spots
Where is the nearest brewery?
There are quite a few. My favorite is 13 stripes in Taylors

I just went there a few days ago, try their Jamaican Patty with Coco bread
Taste is subjective plus bad service or a cook having a bad day can ruin any restaurant experience. Keep that in mind.
That is true
Way to go! That's like saying water is wet and the sky is blue.
Cub fan?
Probably too big of a fan.

Lol, remind me not to invite you to dinner
Don’t invite him to anything, for that matter. Wow.
Well this is disappointing to read…
