You usually hear the Shamisen sounds to your right. Koto's sounds are usually to the left. (in your earphones) Another way to differentiate them is Koto sounds really 'thin' if it makes sense. Shamisen has that percussion sound added to it. A lil heavy. Because Shamisen is played by hitting the body with the bachi.
The OBS's logo is one of the Japanese family crests and is called tomoe-mon (巴紋). It has existed for more than 1000 years in Japan. It is said that good sound echoes if you beat the three round points in the center(as he does).
This was their first concert after the pandemic started. It was two days - this is from the second I beleive. The regulations at the time were that musical concerts can happen at half capacity at most and everyone had to wear masks and couldn't shout - only applause. It was very emotional - I was on the first day and Suzuhana Yuko cried when she said how happy she is to see so many people there :)
