Two federal roads from Akwaibom and Ebonyi to Calabar are death traps, yet they are more concerned in building coastal road that will not get to the same Calabar in ten years.
The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has not conducted an EIA for this project. EIA/ESIA processes are typically transparent and involve public participation. The Lagos-Calabar coastal road project, as currently undertaken by FMOW, violates Nigerian laws. Misleading the Nigerian public is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the minister's character. The minister owes an apology to both the journalist and the Nigerian people.
Tinubu and his gang simply want money. Secondly they are dealing with certain individuals who didn't vote him.

The speed of the demolition of landmarks clearly indicates it is politically and tribally as part of the fallout from the last general election, Shettima and Remi Tinubu were very explicit about dislodging Igbo economic interests in Lagos.

The right that compelled Landmark to spend millions dollars to build a beachfront resort which they would never have done if the beach was not part of the deal.
Useless politicians feeling like God in Nigeria. The coastal road is another avenue for Umahi and co to steal money. Almost all the old raods in Nigeria are bad and they are going to spend trillions on a new road. It should not be government top priority when there is too much hunger and poverty in the country.

Once the SWest corridor is completed, does it matter to them if the road to Calabar is abandoned? At that point, the SWest interior will have a super highway to Eko Atlantic city, plus another development corridor to Lagos. See how daft you are. All the SWest states need then is just to connect a road to their completed end of the coastal road , which will infact make the SWest the hub of tourism in Nigeria at the expense of other Nigerians - who will then carry a national debt burden that didn't benefit them.. No, Amadi has not confirmed that he is a professional all the way. He actually explaining that no project can start without the Environmental Risk Assessment. It is a criminal offence to commence a project without that is some country.
