This lady has a true picture of what is happening in Rivers State, whether people agree on north this entire issue has to do with what happened in Rivers state during the 2023 election. You recall that the PDP because of the issue between Wike and Atiku there were two faction, those that supported Atiku and those that supported Wike's position. As the lady just pointed out Fubara was long time civil servant with no political acumen but Wike saw him as the best candidate to succeed him and he work very hard to make sure that happened. I recall during the campaign many times Wike cited all the projects he has completed as the PDP achievements in the state that speak for itself and Fubara will continue on that if elected. The relation between the two people was never doubtful. Some of the PDP Governors who are supporting Fubara were no where to be found during the governorship campaign in Rivers State. For example I recall see Wike campaign for Governor Makinde because he was one of the G Five. In fact the G Five governors were the only that campaign along with Wike for Fubara. There no doubt that both through our the campaign and when Fubara finally won the election he must have been receiving consultation during the handing over process which normal. Whatever plan Wike laid out for Fubara it might have been based on the fact that he knows he was not very experience in the politics in the Rivers State. It was shocking to see how rapid the relationship between the two just barely three months in office. There is no doubt that those members of the PDP that were anti-Wike saw an opportunity to know be very close to the governor they did really open heartedly campaign for. Fubara fell for them and made it look as if Wike was controlling him despite the fact that Wike might have been heling him to understand the job and making recommendations on how he can get by at least for the first 100 days in office. Misunderstanding crept in even before the first 100 hundred days. Even then whatever the issue were the governor should have kept all matters between themselves judging with how hard Wike fought to get him elected. Developing a successor is not Godfatherism, it is only in Nigeria this term is used by politicians because they do not understand what coaching represent in everyday life. The governor allowed people with interior motive to come between him and the FCT Minister and ignored the opportunity to stop disintegration of the long time relationship he has had with him.
