Great talk! I would just like correct the statement early on (around 1:50) that the ENIAC was the first computer ever made. The first electronic, programmable computer (otherwise we would have to go back earlier in history) made according to Wikipedia was the Z1 or at least the Z3 invented by Konrad Zuse as early as 1938. The Z3 was proven to be Turing-complete in 1998.

great talk! such inspiring talk! Thank you for convincing me to use modelica. Basically, I work a lot with Simulink/Matlab, and I am motivated to learn new simulation approach using modelica. Thank you!

Was it "bad luck" (a coincidence) that the ABS excitation landed on the resonant frequency of the mount, or is it instead a possibility that it settled to that frequency, perhaps due to some aspect of the mount that differed from the other engine components, such as composition material?

All of these problems, and many more, can be solved using tools like Modelica.

Hidden Figures. Computers used to be super-math wizards who could actually do these things. And this is who came up with the tables for us mere mortals to refer to.
As for the ABS in the hybrid Escape, yeppers, I most definitely heard about it. But then again, I know people who knew who were also on the project.
As for you being old, dude. Just stop. I started working in FPSD when the EEC was a brand new idea. Yeah. That was a fun ride.
