Clara retired from her cooking show, but encouraged her Great Grandchildren to carry on the torch. In the spirit of Clara's zest for storytelling, her 3 year-old Great-Grandson hosts "Benjamin's Bunk," a new show which brings to life some of the best children's books ever written.

Such a lovely down to earth lady Another one that hit me hard is when Steve Cash died. He did the Talking Kitty Cat series. I did not realize that it happened until I watched one of his last videos and towards the end of the video you could just tell that things were not well in this world.

She reminds me so much of my great grandfather who died at 101, brought tears to my eyes as well, and she has given me great ideas for cooking in college.

Buscar39 She died on Nov 29, 2013. Old age just simply got the best of her.
I had a smile on my face the whole time but when she said "see you again when I turn 99" I couldn't help but tear up knowing she didn't make it. I only discovered her today but she is such an amazing soul that I instantly loved her like she was my own grandmother. And judging from the comments, a ton of other people feel that way too. That's just a testament to how truly phenomenal Clara was. So much so that it's hard to put into words.
I miss her like she was my own Grandma.
This woman made an entire community feel like they were her own grandchildren and I sincerely miss her for that
98 years old and still laughing. we should all be so lucky to make it this far and still be able to laugh and share good times to the next generation.

Thank you so much for sharing your family , I'm a 310 lb. steel mill crane operator and I cry like a baby when I watch these videos, reminds me of a better time, and my Grandmother. I believe one day soon I will meet your great grandmother in the afterlife.

I am 74 and I like you too...she was like my mother who cooked like her and so do I and my granddaughter who's 27. My daughter passed over in 2005 at age 33 from a lack of potassium, but Clara's and my Mother's ways of life continue...Bless them both.
I am sorry that I only discovered Clara's videos today because I would loved to have told her how much I appreciated them. My Grandma, also named Clara, was born in 1901 and told us many stories about cooking and dealing with rationing during the Great Depression. We treasured her until she went to sleep and did not wake up at 104 yrs old. Something to be said about good old-fashioned cooking, strong wills, and good hearts I think. God Bless your Grandma and all Grandma's that have made a difference in our lives.

Wow, amazing. My grandmaw was named Clara, too! She was born in 1923 here in Louisiana. I wish one of us had taken the time to make some cooking videos or any videos with her. Boy, people went through some tough things back then.

Yes, we all need to place a far greater value on them, than some do. I watch another video yesterday; afterwards I felt totally devastated emotionally & mentally. It was from the Lt.Governor of Texas & it was about this very thing & how he felt about anyone 71 & up & how they should sacrifice their lives for the good of the economy! The first person I thought of was dear, sweet Clara & the second person was Phyllis Stokes; both are gone now, but never forgotten, their generosity for sharing their lives, stories & recipes with us, won't either!
My great grandpa just passed away and him and Clara are so similar I started crying during this video , may they both Rest In Peace

I don’t know why but Clara’s spirit always resonates with me and I thank you for sharing her beautiful stories and family.
She seems so honest, humble and true of heart; three characteristics one seldom finds in younger generations now, and that is the saddest fact of all. May she rest in peace, Gods bless her and her family.
My mother died about the same time as your grandmother. They looked very much the same. My mom, age 91, lived through the depression. I took a year's sabbatical from my job to be with my mom as she had severe health problems, but my mom, like your Clara, remained sharp as a whip and loved to cook, even when she was ill. Your videos of Clara help me, so much --I see my mother's hands in Clara's hands, I hear my mother's chuckle, and most of all I see a loving family that supports each other and celebrates, revels, in having known her and cherished her. You have no idea how much this TH-cam channel means to so many people.

It looks like I found these almost a year from the date you lost your Nana, I am so glad you shared her with others. I have my Grandmother still. She is 88 now, and a joy to me. So glad you issued the challenge for others to spend time with elderly loved ones. So much is missed now. I am sorry for your loss, and I know you miss your friend. THANK YOU AGAIN. Christopher is such a giving person; he is making videos of her grandchildren's activity some now; but I think he'll see how much Clara is missed & he'll come up with something else that will keep us coming back. I never left; this is a place of contentment, love & peace & whenever the world gets in too much of a hurry or just crazy, this is where I find myself.

I'm a truck driver and I'm The pastor of a little United Methodist Church in Riley Indiana, while I was out on the road I would watch your grandma on my breaks I truly enjoyed her stories. Her stories reminded me of my father who also grew up in the Great Depression. I miss my father so much and I know you miss your grandma. I often wondered who was filming that little old lady and then when I saw the film that she had died it broke my heart. You truly made the Stories all about her. And I can tell that you loved her and you will miss her very much. My prayers are with you Pastor Casey Archer

I’m thankful I still have all of my grandparents. I realize there are people out there, who are less fortunate than me. I spend as much time with my grandparents as I can, knowing that their time will soon be up. My grandma, who is in her 70s, almost died a few months ago, when she had open heart surgery. She had lost most of her memory. After they took they vein out of her leg for her heart, she was back in the hospital about about 2 weeks later with the incision in her leg infected, and she almost lost her leg. It’s getting better, but it is still hard to see my grandma injured. I am sorry for the people who have lost their grandparents. God bless.

My great grandma died at 102 in January. I’m 28 and got to live almost 30 years with her. I remember in 1998 when I was 6 (about Ben’s age) she bought me a Furby for my bday that I still have to this day, 22 years later. Great grandmas are awesome. Her daughter, my grandma, is in her 80’s and looks way younger. My mom who is going to be 64 next month looks 40 something!

I only found her channel about 2 weeks ago. I love everything about it. The way she talks, not using a chopping board, the stories of her childhood, the old photos and most of all the cooking. What a lovely lady
