My husband is tough and rugged like the men in this video but on Feb 24, 2009 when he first held his granddaughter (we only have boys), I knew it was OVER for me as Queen B, that's for sure. I think he cried more than I did. There's nothing more precious than a man with his daughter or granddaughter. GAME OVER!

I was the only grandchild of my mom's parents, and I was the beloved. My grandparents on my mom's side, I was their little princess. You'd about swear my grandfather loved me more than my mom. I was closer to my grandfather than any other human being that has ever walked this earth. He passed away in March, 2001, 5 months after I turned 21 years old. Worst day of my life. I going to be 44 later this year, and I still consider myself closer to him than anyone else who has ever lived. These babies / kids are so blessed to have grandparents who love them like my maternal grandparents loved me.

I was blessed to have grand pa like yours he lived to be 102. Whew was a sad day when passed. Rip my heart right out. Ugh I miss him so much

I was 25 when my grandad died in 2021 and I still cry over memories of him. I loved that man so much from when I was a baby. We had lived out of state and we didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time with them, but everytime I got to visit grandpa my dad made sure to capture it on camera because me-the somber child- would instantly run into grandpas arms and never leave his side. He was a man that didn’t care for loud noises, didn’t care to be around lots of kids, but he loved us so much. I can still picture him now in his chair everytime I would walk through the door to visit him and see his whole body, face, aura perk up. This man lived to be 94 and I miss him so much. If I ever have a son, I’m naming him after my granddad. What I wouldn’t give for one more visit with that man.

I'm 33. My grandma died in 2008 when I was only 18 and I think about her almost every day. I feel your pain. They're still with us in our hearts.

The first time my dad met his grandson he cried uncontrollably.
I met my grandson the second he was born.. I was the second person to hold him and he was my best friend and the light of my life.... he was dx'd with a terrible cancer and died 2 weeks after his 21st birthday.. I will never have another grandchild and my heart is broken.. a broken hearted nana... I live in the hope that I will see him again someday.
My daughter had a baby in March. I am completely entranced by him. I really understand these grandparents.

It's really hard not to cry when you're both absolutely happy for having a precious little grandbaby and realize you're probably not gonna be around most of his adult life, esp his important milestones, such as college graduation and wedding.
And wage slaving which is how precious grandchild will spend most of its life. U shoulda thought of that before u had it.

Gave birth to my daughter while we were living overseas. My daughter was a year old when my father in law and mom held her for the first time. I don't think I'd ever seen my mom so happy. She was on cloud 9!!

My sister in law…. Her son got married, and he and his wife had Irish twins. When baby #2 came, this woman literally gutted her home office and turned it into a bedroom just for the girls, so they had their own room when they stayed with GiGi. That’s when I learned grandparenting is something serious.

I wish i understood the insanity that the rest of this twisted world has spun off on though....and that there was way to get it back on the right track. I would say 50% of modern mothers and fathers have zero what clue what the real mission is anymore, and probably aren't capable of ever learning.....The things they are teaching and doing to their children now would have landed them in jail or an asylum 40 years ago. The world is broken....

I never got to meet my grandpa or my great grandparents. My grandma tho, took care of me until I was in middle school. Sadly she passed away a month before I graduated college. RIP Nana❤

This video is very heartwarming. It makes me happy to see so many people happy to meet their grandkids for the first time ever (or for the first time in a while). It also makes me sad because my mom and dad will never have a chance to meet my future children (I'm not expecting, not married or a single mother), but I know that they would have loved them and spoiled them rotten. I haven't seen my grandson in three years, and I have never met my new grandson. My daughter is estranged, much as her mother was. She is dead now, and I am her only parent left, and she calls me by my sir name. These videos make me weep with joy. I just wish I could have this joy in my senior years.
I just wish my father was like this to his grandkids since he was an absentee father.
I wish my grandpa could've had this moment with my son and incoming daughter... I am so grateful these people go to enjoy this though, makes my heart happy knowing others have gotten to experience this.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, my mother became seriously ill and couldn't meet my daughter. After her recovery, they finally met a few months later. It was a heartfelt and unforgettable moment for me.
The power of children, I have two beautiful grand daughters so can relate to this massively, I never thought I could ever love anybody more than my children, but I was wrong, my family are everything.

As a grandfather myself here's a thought - If we got all of the Ukrainian and Russian grandfathers in a large hall to sit down with some vodka, bread and sausages and share photos of each other's grandchildren maybe they could put a stop to the damn war in that part of the world.
