- The documentary series Alaskan: A Modern Day Gold Rush follows the journey of the stampeders of the Great Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1800's contrasting that event with modern day gold miners and prospectors in Nome, Alaska. In this ninth part of the series, word hits the frozen town of Dawson City that a new gold strike has occurred 1500 miles down the Yukon River in Nome, Alaska. The stampeders are given new hope that their golden dreams might soon be a reality. Fast forward more than a decade as the participants of the Gold Prospectors Association of America's Alaska Gold Expedition wrap up their first week of dredging, sluicing and panning for gold on the shore of the Bering Sea. #alaskangoldrush #goldmining #goldrush #beringseagold
Thanks for posting this series and Gold Fever, it's much appreciated.
Yep thanks for posting this series... I never saw it when it came out in 2010....very fun to watch.
I got something I invented for getting gold out of beach sand that moves more material than the market can offer this is bigger than the gold pan saving for the patent.
Can we please ask our world leaders to recreate these old times and encourage open travel to stake mining claims! Please. I want us to all be out on the goldfields together :)
