- My Influence was a Hybrid of the X-men crew at the time. After my introduction to the crew, I started to flourish my own ideas, from battling in our sparring sessions that sparked me to come back with new and improved routines which made me stand out on my own. I developed a way of using energetic songs and applying funky real time patterns with cutting edge speed and body tricks. Executing everything I did with ease and comfort for my size as a naturally big dude, due to my athletic side of playing sports throughout childhood. The most impressive trait about me is the passion of fun I show on stage which reflects a certain energy that stands alone where in fact if you were blind, it would be easy on the ears to distinguish who's on deck sonically. - Total Eclipse

Precision and honestly, that's it man. I HONESTLY cannot for the life of me think of a second battle DJ from today's era who can compete with this routine.
About a thousand times more exciting that today's DMC finals.
One of my fav routines EVER! Ran into Total Eclipse on the street in Chelsea, NY. Dude was sooo humble and stopped to say "whattup?" to me. I was kinda starstruck. Wish I could be an X-Men.
Glad you enjoyed it! This was in 1997. I can't think of any battle DJs today with the exception of 1 or 2 who can rock like this!

AMAZING. Thank you for posting this footage, Rob. Eclipse is my favorite beat juggler. The "Scenario" routine is one of the greatest ever. And he did make it happen--with my eyes closed, I can hear an Eclipse routine and know it's him.

Maaaaaaaaaan the scenario juggle changed my life when I was a kid the X was on either Stretch and Bobbitto or Evil Dee and Total E performed that routine. Once I heard I was like YUP I need to be this kinda DJ. Much love to the whole X-men crew yall cats are the reason I do this.

@nilsynilsy Having Mista Sinista on stage with us was an AWESOME experienced. I actually spoke to him today and we're making plans to link up and practice this week. Sinista was always a BEAST on the turntables. I got nothing but love for that dude!

This is back when you had to have skills or the New York crowd would just boo you. Whether it be MCing, producing, DJaying, turntablism, breakdancing etc. You required very high technical skill and funk to get any acknowledgement in New York.
