I would love to have all 3 of them, one of each. 2 trackbikes, one to beat, one to race. Then the streetbike just to baby and save for special occasions.
@@visordown Good question. The engine is widely said to be of the most powerful in the grid, and I tend to trust Bautista's and Haslam's skills to be closer to the leading group if they could. Just based on reports of course, the worst issue seems to be both chassis and electronics set-up.
Best Honda chassis includes RC30, RC51, and RC213V-SP, so only RSV4 might be better, according to WSBK or MGP results. I guess Max had quite a lot to do with that....
Nope, less than the cost of a front road tyre, so not expensive. Room under the seat for that small box. Of course if you only ride on circuit, no need to recalibrate the speedo. Just for road use.
@@lonpfrbIt's for track use, so Speedo is not my concern. You can't change gearing more than 1 tooth. If you do so, the electronics is failing you (TC, QS). @@flipper323 interesting, So Honda has priced out a super-stock or track bike with the odd gearing and inflexible electronics. Presumably Honda Racing (Louth, UK) are happy to fit the kit electronics to the super-stock and the superbike getting the freedom to choose the best gearing. However that doesn't explain who the standard gearing is for. I suppose it's driven by the most restricted race regulations as it's supposed to be the base for production racing. Looks like race teams, road riders, or track riders in that order of priority. Not many track riders looking to spend €30,000 on a bike, as you suggest!
@@lonpfrb The main reason is Euro5. You habe to fullfill noise regulations. That`s why the gearing is odd. For track use: it is a very capable bike. But if you don't change the gearing, you drive with max. 4 gears. So i don't expect to see a lot on trackdays , because it's just to expensive to get the bike right.
@@flipper323 Honda was barely able to get the previous generation Fireblade on circuit with the stock pipe as 98dB isn't a reasonable limit. Sounds like this one had to try harder and the exhaust valve with electronic help still wasn't enough. So few sport bikes that Euro 5 is never likely to make a significant impact on pollution. It's just regulation because they can. Plus a pointless cost and weight that reduces efficient manufacturing and use. I suppose we have to give Honda respect for bothering at all given the few sales. Clearly their competitors have done better, at least for our use.
Why buy a motorcycle for the purpose of projecting an image you want people to see, and therefore come to conclude ? That bike far exceeds your talent and will be wasted in the mire of self obsession. What a shame.

The best 1000cc chassis, or the best Honda 1000cc chassis? It behaves in quite a mediocre way in WSBK.
