Friend of mine suggested the LA220 as overheads for my drum kit. I got a great deal on the V1's and man they do not disappoint! Super happy with them and highly recommend!
This sounds so much better than the SM7(B). Don't get me wrong, I love the SM7, but it's way overused in the podcast and TH-cam world and people don't even know why they use it. It's not the greatest mic for talking
I love watching microphone videos I'm not planning to buy right now I'm either planning to buy an Re20, the new podmic usb or a Shure sm58 next year around black Friday or my birthday in September
The spark and sE sounded muted in comparison to me. NT1 was closest to the LA's sound to me. The Lewitt sounded good but I think I still like the LA. Now heres the part that ruins it all......listened on my PC speakers
Im honestly so suprised, i was deciding between the 220 and the nt1 a while ago, i ended up going with the nt1 to save money so im glad they sounded close to one other
@@DarkCornerStudios Understandable. But I'm more talking just a quick audio listen, say you were to watch a youtuber, one could have a multithousand dollar mic, the other could have a 100 buck one, and unless listening closer than just being bored, you wouldn't really notice. That's what I'm more talking about, but your point is better than mine
@Sheep fair...I do understand that the value in a circumstance like that is valid...but people buying gear like this mic...are probably looking for more versatile recording options than as a streamer would. Promise I will be gentle and not mocking in my Q&A. Not my job to shame
I love my LA220 V1 and I have a deeper voice and it captures the bass in my voice with amazing punch and clarity.

I was a bit torn between the LA 220 and the lewitt, so really appreciated you comparing them. Definitely feel the lauten is a better fit for me.
Excellent Vid. Helped me to finalize my decision. Thank you for such a well rounded take.
@jeremymiller3466 some would say.......
Balanced!
I shall see myself out!
@DarkCornerStudios 😂
Would love to see it compared to the OC16, similar price range in the UK. The OC is actually cheaper here!
I got the LS208. Saving up for the Atlantis.
Having used most of their mics, I can safely say that they are all great.
Nice review. I'm in California so I'm going to be partial to this one, a little, but still researching my next vocal mic. Subscribed!
Sounds just lovely. I think I've found my affordable home recording LCD. Thanks. :)
A pair of those for overheads and amp mics would be primo and not a bank breaker.
Yeah...planning on testing that out!
Im a huge fan of the low pass option they have on their mics. Lauten audio have moved WAY up my company rankings
Nice video, straight and to the point. Any idea what the main difference is between this and the v1?
Updated capsule and upgraded body materials 😀

How would you compare this to a KSM32? Strikes me as a direct competitor.

I know...I am the same!
If I work the Victoria Day statutory holiday it should be enough money for the microphone before taxes.
Nice!
Can you review the Blue Baby Bottle SL? I'm very interested to see how it would sound like in your deep voice, especially compared to the Blue Spark.
It's on my list!!
Type of capsule?

Long & McQuade is listing it at $408 Cdn. Tempting.
Yeah...if you have the usecase...and you are doing any instrumentation...this is a decent buy
@@DarkCornerStudios That's the wrong calculous. I'm single. I don't have a partner telling me that I can't buy it.
Siblance doesn't know this mic at all
after like 70$, every mic sounds pretty much the same, and if there is a semi noticeable difference, its because the mic has a different FR
That is like saying all wine tastes the same.
You have to develop your ears, the same way you train your tastebuds.
FYI - I will be addressing this in an upcoming Q&A...stay tuned for that!
