Brian, that looks great. I am also doing a B25 currently (from 1970), and your videos have been very informative! Thank you mate!

@@TheCADengineer Thank you Brian!! Very much appreciate it! I seem to have a different model than you, as mine has a scrambler exhaust, and a steel tank. Your tank looks very similar to mine, and I am wondering if they are rare, as most of them had the fibreglass tanks!

@@xa1a Hi, The very first versions of the B25's were called C25's and named BSA Barracuda, they had the fiberglass fuel tank and also the oil tanks were fiberglass, unfortunately the name Barracuda conflicted with a model of car in the USA, so in fear of a lawsuit and of any loss of sales of the bike in the American marketplace the name was changed to the BSA B25 Starfire. Up to mid 1968 they still had the fiberglass tank, but later changed to the steel versions. There is also a BSA B25 Fleetstar, same frame-engine etc. but the steel fuel tank is a different shape. The end of 1970 the B25's frame and ancillaries were totally re-designed, the tubing of the frame was used as the oil tank and the new designed wheels had alloy hubs. There are also Triumph re-badged versions as the Triumph Trail Blazer and the Triumph TR25W. In the UK there are still plenty of B25's around, so not that rare, however they will only go up in value as the years roll by. The BSA B50 came out in late 1970 (500cc single) using the B25's later oil in frame and alloy wheels, not many were made for the UK market so they command a higher price, but the B25 is a lovely bike which is far easier to start than the B50 and still nice to ride.
