I use half double kicks half single with the intro and do less left handed Tom hits than you do. End result is exactly the same lol. I love watching drummers play songs I know because every drummer has their own way to do it. 🤘🏻

you sit so low, i guess that's why you angle the toms so much? i've been experimenting with throne height and i'm trying the 1/3 rule, i'm 6' so 24" throne height. any thoughts?
I since have changed the angles to be flatter. main thing is that your snare drum is approx waist high, and your legs are approx parallel to the floor. Toms can be however you like really as its personal preference. I like mine now at slight angles.

@The drum professor I play with a similar setup too. I play mostly metal and I hate having to move my arms too much when it's not required. I never liked drums with "flat horizontal" toms mainly because of that, even if it makes it a bit easier on the bouncing. I pick wrist play over arm play all the time to save up on wasted energy and with big bass-drums, having flat toms is just way too high for me sometimes, even with my looong arms.
In fact, looking at my toms right now, they're at a 45 degrees angle or very close to that.

I follow the base rythm for the most part but add alot of fills rolls dbbl base flips and cymbal flash... I customize it to add more than the original song. Just not to be a copy cat. That gets boring. This is a good clip
yeah that makes it fun! Basically all drummers improvise the drum parts during practice and live shows.
In my opinion the main riff would have been 10x more powerful if the drummer had used the crash instead of the ride
