The first Airbus I ever flew on was a Delta A330 CEO from SEA to ATL. I love that airplane! It's smooth and quiet and has a great interior. Since then I've been on the A321 and A321 Neo. The A330 is still my favorite just by a little. I'm looking forward to flying on new DL A330 Neo now that 30 of them are in serivce. I think they have 9 more on order. I'm glad they are finally catching on with Airlines that want to compete Internationally with a wide body instead of the A321 XLR. I would pick the A330 Neo any day over the XLR for Long Haul.
Sounds like you’ve had some great experiences with Airbus! The A330 is definitely a smooth ride, and the Neo takes it to another level. Can’t wait for you to try it out-bet it’ll top your favorites list again! ✈️🙌
boeing has .updated 737ng software .fixed quality control rudder issues with 737 due to SUPPLIER fualt and airbus has .rudder issues with a320 due to SUPPLIER fault. so they both have rudder probs, but boeing has worked recently.......long live boeing!!!
I recently came back from Tampa with Virgin to London on A330 900 NEO. Was awesome aircraft. Even suppose to fly in to Tampa but was downgraded to A330 300
Boeing fan boy….the a330s economy 2-4-2 is about perfect. I like the 767 better but it’s just not as efficient. If these can stay a lot cheaper than 787 and be close in efficiency it’s a winner. Would love to see some wide bodies like this domestically as having completely packed 737s 30 min apart and 14 jets in the queue are causing delays. Plus Airbus might actually deliver them this decade
I hear you! The A330's 2-4-2 economy is definitely a sweet spot for comfort. If it stays more affordable and close in efficiency to the 787, it’s a real win! And yep, Airbus might just get them delivered sooner than Boeing these days! 😅✈️
@@WingSpanDiaries what a chief pilot told me is that its like a swiss army knife for network planning. It can do anything within its range better than anything else we have.
@liamgillard5611,if you think that a330neos going to beat boeing, then maybe ask jetstar and qantas to cancel their 787 orders.....uh oh,too late they aready have 787
Good plane , but need to think of a clean sheet model. It is old technology upgrade. To get more sales airbus needs to make a new a300 .Introduce in 2032/32. Like A350 it needs a clean sheet. A plane for 220 passes to 340. A330 200, A330 300 A 330 500. So it covers all 787 models.
Good point! The A330neo is great, but a clean-sheet design could really push Airbus to the next level. An updated A300-style aircraft would be a game-changer in the 220-340 passenger range! ✈️🔥
Given your video, my only response is that 1 the a330 neo series have significantly slower climb speed even after the enhancements according to eurocontrol, with initial climb difference having a gap of 800m per second, then you have cargo capacity, where the 339 is still underperforming compared to the 789, finally you have the range, 3000 km more range is a nail in the coffin and makes the jet a less versatile product compared to the 789 . Also look at the orders, even when boeing is under scrutiny, the dreamliner still got more orders than the 330 neo, your video just contradicts urself.
Boeing are the masters of their own downfall, but it's the ordinary, everyday guys on the shop floor who are losing their jobs that I feel sorry for - because of the morally unfit scumbags who are occupying the Boeing boardroom. You can't really blame Airbus, Embraer or Bombardier for looking to take full advantage of the situation. Airbus make a superb product and deserve the plaudits that come their way.
Completely agree! It's tough seeing hardworking employees pay the price for poor decisions at the top. Airbus is just making the most of the situation with their great products. Can't blame them for that! ✈️👌
Yet in reality Airbus is mostly sold out for the next years. And Boeings demise is affecting suppliers that produce for both OEMs. It doesnt exactly help Airbus to fix ramp up bottlenecks either when suppliers are at the brink of bancrupcy. So short term Airbus cannot take much advantage of Boeings issues.
It isn’t a direct competitor to the 787. It is bigger, has a higher pax capacity, higher mtow, higher empty weight, higher fuel consumption, and similar performance and capacity to Airbus’ own A350. The two airframes are within a discount of cost and the A350 is superior to the A330 in every single way. Why get the A330 when the A350 does everything better and gives you dramatically more range? There just isn’t a comparison here. The A330 competes with the A350 and with the existing 777-200s. Why would an airline switch to an aircraft that is less flexible with worse field performance? It just doesn’t make any sense, and that’s why it hasn’t sold well at all, there are simply superior products.
You are totally wrong! It`s a direct competitor & it`s very competitive in efficiency & performance with recent upgrades implemented & soon to be further improved. It`s price is also very attractive to airlines who are budget constrained. Sure you could argue the B787 is the better aircraft with it`s composite build & later design features, but it`s reliability has been called into question many times where A330Neo hasn`t. With decent purchase price, good reliability & excellent comfort for passengers it`s an attractive alternative to B787 & this is why it`s orders are increasing exponentially. Do your homework on this aircraft, it`s shed a fair amount of weight, it`s engines are very fuel efficient, even it`s wing angle has been improved to give B787 a hard time in the market place.

If you wanted to compare apples to apples, you'd have to add A330CEO deliveries from 2011. Yet, even then its true the 787 has dominated over the A330neo, yes. You have to give Airbus though, they succesfully supressed 787 pricing by offering an alternative that cost them peanuts to develop. 787 production is barely cash flow positive, so they earn almost nothing on it. And thats true for the whole remaining order book. Boeing certainly cant afford to have any more "successes" like this. Airbus is already working on a clean sheat A320 successor program threatening to make the 737Max obsolete, which is Boeings last cashcow.
