Not very big but ar least ur gettin action. We live in Northern Saskatchewan Canada we fish in Lac La Ronge lake an we have so many little lakes all round us my wife caught her lake trout last weekend 7ish pounds good times
I have some experience with frozen propane. On its own, a 100lb tank will have enough volume to work at -40°. My 30lb tanks on my ice castle are heated with a electric blanket made for the tank. I got mine at Acme Electric. Not cheap but using it will allow you to use all the propane in the tank. Don't use it and leave about 10%-20% in the tank. Most refill places charge a flat fee for filling and the propane left in the tank is paid for twice. Using the blanket will eventually pay for itself.
I look to fish in shallower water. When you are fish over 28 ft deep every fish you pull up from that depth is a dead fish. Those little ones that were thrown back don't live. Same as humans getting the bens, fish get the same thing.
These fish adjust very well to pressure changes but yes it does harm them but its not killing every one of them by any means… smaller fish do alot better than bigger size fish in most cases
@@nothingstands do it with perch all the time out of 40-55 feet. If you know its small try and let it shake off at 30-20 feet and save time unhooking it and just dont reel in as fast as you can.

Totally Agree with you Jim. I always feel like if you reel them up slow it helps but I have no idea if that is really the case.
