    I have had a setup with the BM6P since 2001 and I am still hearing details in "old" recordings I still have not been hearing on them yet. I LOVE THEM! As a matter of fact they still play fantastic after more than 20 years.
    I also have the DynAudio M2P for about 10 years now. Unfortunately I have an old amplifer that had to say goodbye a couple of years ago (Mackie 1400i) so I am still looking for the right one to buy. Or.... I have found a few that actually can handle these monitor monsters M2P but I cant afford to buy it yet! xD (LOL)
    Thanks for a nice video. I am sure you still enjoy your DynAudios. ;)

    Thank You So Much. I currently have HS80M for 12 years. The Dynaudio Make Feel the Vibe of Music and I Can Hear More Saturation from the Preamps we spend Big money on. Great Job!

    The BM6A model is 25 years old now, and still on the market. That says a lot about the quality.

    Thanks for the video! Dynaudio sounds much better to my ears. And also there is some unpleasant frequencies from the Yamaha (I’m a Yamaha user).
    But soon I will switch to Dynaudio Lyd series probably.

      keep in mind the dynaudio lyd series is a completely different design and sound compared to the bm series. the bm6a's are much more "pleasant" and "analog" sounding monitors than lyd-7 or lyd-8.

    I bought the Dynaudio BM5 mkIII's when I built my home studio and never looked back.
    They are all that I want from studio speakers.

      Have you listened to Yamaha HS series monitors before? The wide frequency range of Yamahas fascinates me. But Dynaudio BM5 MK lll is among the monitors I want. I am an electric guitarist and I also mix as an amateur. Which one do you think I should choose?

    • @zemekiel
      @zemekiel 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@roland1097 I have indeed listened to the Yamaha's.
      My experience is that the Dynaudio's are more precise and detailed.
      I do a fair bit of playing/recording electric guitars, and the Dynaudio's are perfect for this!
      The Yamaha's have a bit wider freq range, but also sound a bit muddier in the mids.
      I never regretted not choosing the Yamaha's.

      I have a friend that brought his BM5 Mkiii by and we compared them to my Revel M106 in my living room. We both liked the Dynaudios more. More attack and detail in the mids.

    I'm between gettin a pair of these Dynaudio BM6A or go for the IK Multimedia iLoud MTM, which one you recommend? The BM6A are second hand and really cheap is there something to concern about these monitors?

    Dynaudio BM6A - good decision :)

    I have no winner here, but can hear the HS8 naturally due to 8 inch woofer extends deeper, while Dyns do sound tight over the lows, just a tiny bit less prominent. The perceived better stereo image can be misleading, because of setting the Dyns in wider arrangement, Yammies seem to excel in this department.
    In any case - as HS8 fan I am glad they stood their own against BM6A, which sound lovely to me in this comparison. In general perspective, I found both monitors surprisingly close in terms of balance and fidelity, additionally surprised by HS8 not sounding as bright here as I am used to !

    There is no comparison between the BM6As MK I and the Hs8 or 80s. Currently the BM6As are model MK3. I have mastered over 700 albums with the BM6As mk1 sinnce 2007. I have 3 units ( main par and a spare, since they left the market in 2013).

    I had HS8's for years to replace Dynaudio BM5's, and they were great. Ive since upgraded to Adam A77X which are a big upgrade, but I would like some dyn's again as a 2nd reference (or maybe some cheap HS7's).
    Im not a reggae fan as such, but i loved that track!

    Big deference in the highs. Dynaudio is much more natural and bodied. Rest of sound is better too and the imagine just you said. Imagine and highs are big difference. I listened with Neumann ndh 20 headphones, Rupert Neve Designs RNHP headphone amplifier and an old Asus Essence STX audiophile sound card.

    I have home speakers from dynaudio at home, so I probably would like the dynaudio monitor. But I have heard the Yamaha monitor compared to different other monitors like genelec and adams, and I did not like the Yamaha tonal balance as they are quite forward in upper frequencies. I have Adams T7V monitors. But if I would invest in new monitors it probably would be Dynaudio next.

    Best to compare HS5 or HS7. Difference in some eq is all that is needed in this conparison. Dyns may sound "perceptibly" clearer but they also sound strained/congested. Can easy listen longer with HS8. Neither sounds great fhough...

    • @ProbablyStereoClub

      I did have a pair of hs50s a good while back, but without a sub, they just didn't have much in the bass department. The HS8 has slightly more oomph than the dynaudios, but at least they're in the same ball park.

    Is $900 for a used pair of bm6a good? And is the mk1 better than the mk2 version?

    • @ProbablyStereoClub
      @ProbablyStereoClub  ปีที่แล้ว

      I got my mk1 for a bit less than that, and I thought it was a good deal. Maybe they are more readily available in Europe (since they're made in denmark). I haven't heard mk2 but I think mk1 is considered having a bit better amp inside
