- My kitchen light was flickering after I switched it to an all in one LED light fixture. I switched it back to a regular light fixture and added LED bulbs to fix the flickering light. The all in one LED fixtures don't seem to last very long before it started flicking. This was the third LED light fixture I changed after installing them just a year ago.
THE FIX
Changed it back to a regular light fixture and installed LED light bulbs.
Dude you didn’t really explain How you were gonna fix the problem and then the music was so loud we couldn’t even hear you at the end . : /
Ha, it was a music video!
I replaced the LED light back to a regular light fixture with a LED light bulb.
@@richardjarvisadventures5648 dude... you're straight up click baiting people into thinking this is a fucking tutorial when it's just you vlogging about how handy you are without actually demonstrating anything. Post this useless vid to facebook instead.
Quick fix. Buy a powerline control systems model LDS-120V LED Dimming Stabilizer. Workes great. I put mine at the ceiling fixture for ease of installation.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
My lights are flickering in the basement, replaced all the light fixtures with new ones and it still was flickering, the culprit was at the breaker box. I replaced that faulty circuit breaker.
OK, Thanks for sharing.
I have a cover just like this on my ceiling light in kitchen with cover off works great with on flickers just like this. The base fixture says type B 60W
I replaced my solid-state LED with a regular kitchen light fixture and added LED light bulbs and it's been working great ever since.
Ok, the wires were two inches too long. I got that part.
One of my first ever You tube videos. I replaced it with a regular fixture and installed LED light bulbs. I can do better for sure.
The wires were only 2". So, he extended them by adding 'pig tails', which is just a short length of wire attached with wire nuts to add length. Doing electrical work with wires less than 6" to work with is a pain. 6"-8" is best. If you have too much wire, it can be difficult to stuff into the box.
LED bulbs also don't work well. I've noticed even an LED bulb in a normal socket starts to often flicker after a very short time. Putting normal incandescent bulbs back in fixes the issues.
This fixed the issue for me after I replaced the LED fixture with a regular fixture and installed LED light bulbs.
That could be due to cheap bulbs or a slew of other issues.
90% of the energy that an incandescent bulb uses is lost to heat.
Hey come over from Irene's livestream. Thanks for sharing God bless
OK, Thanks
I guess I am slow, but I did not see the point of this video. Did you identify the source of the problem? Did you figure out a solution? Was that all done off camera?
No he had no point

My bath light flickered. Replaced bulb, then fixture, then exhaust fan (noisy then stopped working)
I replace the LED fixture with a regular light fixture and used LED light bulbs.
If there is an old style dimmer switch, an LED light will often flicker. There is a newer style dimmer switch available which is designed for use with non-incandescent bulbs.
I replace the LED fixture with a regular light fixture and used LED light bulbs.
I have the same counter tops, and the same problem.
LOL
What solved the problem?
I replaced the flicking LED light fixture back to a regular light fixture and used LED light bulbs.
Sorry, then replaced light switch. Seemed to fix it. A month later started up again. Comments appreciated. Also used different brand bulbs with no change.
I replace the LED fixture with a regular light fixture and used LED light bulbs.
Sane issue here. I have LED bulbs and flickering just started. On a regular switch. It has to be the LED technology.
How did you fix the problem? I’ve got a ceiling fan with one of those plate leds and it’s flickering like crazy
I replace the LED fixture with a regular light fixture and used LED light bulbs.
LOL most of the flickering is caused by the wiring not being tight, they get losse and electric currents go on and off, incandescent lights gets hot and will not flicker because they still have some electricity current when it goes back on,
Excellent feedback, Thanks for sharing.
You didn’t really explain why you did…
I changed the LED Light for a regular fixture with LED Light bulbs.
You have discovered PWM

I have the same light. But this video helped with nothing.

Some LEDs do that. I replace them. More junk for our land fills. Welcome to the USA.
This what I did in the video but I replaced it with a regular fixture and installed LED light bulbs.
Nowdays these LED bulbs are just don't last long. I have changed quite a few Great Value bulbs the daylight(white) ones. The soft white(yellow) some how seem to last longer. Also if you have a dimmer you need to get the 'dimmable' bulbs.
He could have replaced the whole bulb assembly with a Pure LED kit that does not use any bulbs and has much brighter light.
I replace the LED fixture with a regular light fixture and used LED light bulbs.
I never understood why ppl put annoying background music in
Lesson learned. I was learning how to create GoPro videos.
@@richardjarvisadventures5648 no problem, we all make mistakes, im sure your future videos be great.
And where are the instructions to fix it? Is this just a promotion? Come on man!

Hey Rick Bob I had the same issue. Looked on here for possible causes andyou showed up. Don't buy cheap LED fixtures I guess.
Exactly Mike. So far regular LED Light bulbs work the best. The LED Fixtures suck.
How to fix your flickering LED light fixture? Don’t.
LOL.
quit the music so we can hear you!!!!!!
What a waste of time watching this.
