Have seen other dupes of this bowl but yours is by far the best. Loving the color & shape. One person used very cheap toilet paper & the coloring from that made a big difference too. Didn't need as much paint & saved a little money
Super Annie Oakley Sweettttt I am so glad this was helpful. It was genuinely one of the best (very much needed) creative moments of the month. I had such a great time shaping the bowl and to be honest the goo was pretty satisfying to mush around 😅 Thank you for watching xo
Hi new Subbie here ! It looks soo soo good . I appreciate you taking the time to be a diyer who is sharing pieces I love and can’t afford . I hope you have a wonderful blessed weekend darling !🤎🙏🏽 🍲
Awe Thank you for your kind words XOXO I appreciate you watching my videos and subbing! That means a lot to me. Stay tuned for some more affordable DIY viddys XOXO
Joannie L. Once i was done with it i ended up adding more paper mache to the rim just to clean it up a bit. 😬Thanks Joannie you should try some DIY projects
Candice Klein Awe man! I’m sure the one you ordered will be just as beautiful but for future reference try making your own for a funn little mind getaway and craft night ❤️
I probably would have only uses matte or chalk-like paints for this project, it would give it more of a stone and worn-down type of look. You did a great job tho!
Yes it wouldn't be as lengthy of a project if I didnt make everything from scratch but i'm always here for a long project. Keeps the mind occupied lol Thank you for watching xo
Magda Jastrzebska yay thanks for watching doll xoxoxo definitely try making one first your going to love it!! I ended up reshaping mine after this video for a cleaner look. That’s the awesome part of working with paper mache, you can always add onto it
This is amazing... you are very creative! Can I ask, do you ever have any problem with mold? I only ask as I’ve seen some posts stating issues with it? Love your work, thank you for sharing xx
You could definitely pass the paper through the shredder (I wish I had one at the time) as far as the sealer I’m sure there is but I just used paint as shown
Thank you so much for watching XOXOXO I say yes! I ended up adding more to the bowl after making this video but did not have elmers glue -.- I tried w/o and it def worked
Hello, I discovered your channel now. I really like this job but since I don't speak your language I can't follow your explanation. You would be so kind as to write the materials and quantities so I can translate them. Thank you very much and I already subscribed to your channel (google translation)😘😘
I speak your same language but It would help to post the products and a provide a link to the best price also how much paper you ended up using would make this video more valuable. Just a thought. Your video is great with or without :)
kathleen green I made sure to tape the serán wrap to the inside of the bowl so that when it was ready to be removed I could remove the bowl with the serán still attached to it. Once the paper mache form and serán wrap we’re detached from the bowl I was able to rip the serán wrap right off. The inside was done just as I painted the outside. I hope this helps xoxo
I tried this last night and its kind of a disaster. The paper is so labor intensive and it made a huge mess. It came out too clumpy to make a bowl that looks good. I will buy bagged paper mache next time as this method is kind of a nightmare!
Sorry it didnt work out for you, paper mache in a bag would def be easier. I did what was most convenient for me and I love how everything turned out but understand the paper struggle lol this method requires patience and tons of blending/ mushing in order to get a smoother texture.
Anita Miller Sorry, I actually just used the serán wrap to remove it. I made sure to leave extra so that I could tape the serán wrap inside the bowl. Very simple
Dollar store tissue paper has a coating on one side. This might prevent the total breakdown. I’m thinking to use toilet paper, would breakdown much quicker
Woohoo I am so glad you loved it! I wish I could afford everything restoration but the little things like this make it all worth it. I am so happy your new here xoxo welcome to my channel.
Oh really!? I thought about using TP like the good ole elementary school days but ended up using regular paper. Works just as great but im sure the TP is a lot quicker to dissolve
Please credit Jonni from UltimatePaperMache.com for the recipe inspiration. She's the OG of paper mache clay. You might prefer a diy modeling clay recipe. This recipe is meant to be a thin coating on top of paper mache for rigidity and esthetics, not really structure. Kudos for calling out RH though. Some of their decor (and furniture tbh) is just... $175? 🤣 Ffs.
Your so right! I have entered her info in my description box! Thanks for the reminder XOXO Girl you alreadyyy know how RH is -.- I wish things were a lot more affordable there
You could have bought plaster or something and skipped the whole plaster like making step. fun to watch, but I would have tried a more simple way or just paid the money for a bowl already done.
Joseline, I think bowler8 is referring to when you say, “I seen.” The correct English is, “I saw,” or “I had seen, “ or “I have seen.” Hopefully this friendly tutorial is helpful, as I have heard you say, “I seen” in a couple other videos too. 🙏🏼👍🏼💕
Wow. Unbelievable. I can't believe how rude some people can be. I guess she likes to be creative, and since she has furniture, "at those prices," she must not be doing too bad for herself, no matter how she speaks. It was kind of her to show people how to make it. Maybe, she cuts corners, so she can afford nice furniture, and other things, that will last. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it. No one is forcing you to watch.
I only use paper, flour and water. It sets fast and it’s a lot cheaper . Love your design I will definitely be making . Thank you.
Maria Malik Oh wow that seems so much easier! I wish I would have known 😅 maybe next time I’ll try it that way
Does it grow mold, in time, because of the flour?
@@create-hx7pe no as long as you apply a sealer or keep it away from moisture.
Do u know the portions by chance?
@@create-hx7pe also if you put salt in the mixture (about a tps) that helps keep it mold free
The glue sounds are priceless 💗
This ends up looking like a hypertufa bowl. Cool.
Awesome job with paper!!!👏👏👏
Omg 😲 so pretty!! It's like from the ancient Greece 😍😍😍
Have seen other dupes of this bowl but yours is by far the best. Loving the color & shape. One person used very cheap toilet paper & the coloring from that made a big difference too. Didn't need as much paint & saved a little money

Love the colors you chose! Kudos to you always finding cool projects to do 👏👏👏
Joannie L. Once i was done with it i ended up adding more paper mache to the rim just to clean it up a bit. 😬Thanks Joannie you should try some DIY projects
I’m so glad to have found your channel . Great project ! I stock a high end version of your papier-mâché and I must say : I prefer yours !
Jerry Shepherd Yayy i am so happy you stumbled upon my channel! These bowls are incredible 😍😍😍
Gotta do it. Can I break down a new disposable litter made of molded paper?
Excellent job! Very instructive video.
❤️ Shirley
I am so glad you enjoyed XO Thanks for watching
Wow, this is one of the best videos of how too. I love this and the finished result.
I’m glad this video was helpful ❤️ thank you for watching xo
Very pretty
I wish I saw this before I ordered a paper mache bowl on etsy. Hopefully the bowl I ordered is just as nice as yours.
Candice Klein Awe man! I’m sure the one you ordered will be just as beautiful but for future reference try making your own for a funn little mind getaway and craft night ❤️
Wow! What a great idea. I had no idea that the RH bowls were $175. Crazy price.
I was hoping to see how it came off the bowl, how was that?
Speechless! THE PERFECT DIY. I'M DOING THIS. JUST SUBSCRIBED 💙💙💙
The Thrill ASMR Yesssss definitely make it! It was such a fun little project for me
I probably would have only uses matte or chalk-like paints for this project, it would give it more of a stone and worn-down type of look. You did a great job tho!
Six trips to Hobby Lobby, 4 trips to Lowe’s, 2 trips to Joanne’s and one trip to Michaels and I STILL forgot the damn glue🤬😖
Bailey G Oh noooo 🥺
Damn! That's 3 tanks of gas lol 😆 😂 🤣. Take a break and drink something.
You are so funny 😂 😂😂😂
Would have been cheaper to buy one after all that gas and time. Lol.
Lol - that is so ME!!
Ficou lindo!!! Amei ! ❤
Omg a quality of the video is perfect😻 what camera do you use ?🙏🏼
Oh my gosh...that's alot of work but so pretty!❤

Would have liked to inside of bowl. Looks good
Hithere I should have 🤭 completely forgot about that angle 😅 thank you for watching xoxo
What kind of brush was used in your video? Thanks!
Turned out fabulous. Definitely trying this.!
Jo Anna Frank Yayy I hope you enjoy your little DIY! It’s so much funnnnn
This is my first time to your channel and can't wait to see what other diys you've shared. This is really beautiful😊
I have two questions. Can you pass the paper through a paper shredder? Is there a sealer that you can used when the project is done.
You could definitely pass the paper through the shredder (I wish I had one at the time) as far as the sealer I’m sure there is but I just used paint as shown
Actually is better to tear the paper. It opens up the fibers.
I would use coffee ground at the end to get even oldwr and vintage look. Just take coffee ground and rub it on the bowl 🙂
Anyway it looks bomb 🥰
Omg yes! Such a great idea 💡 I really want to make more so I will definitely try out this method
You mean after shaping while shaping it, or after shaping it, before it is dry? That would be beautiful.
@@MissMolly3377 when its totally dry. Last step 🙂
You've done some pretty cool stuff. I hope you come back to YT.
amazing !! thank you so much for sharing! I have question. You put inside just simpl floure?
Hello thank you for watching xo I used all purpose flour 😃
OMG, I cant wait to make mine. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Can I make a mug out of this? If so what can I use as a sealant
Could you please write the materials in full? I don't know English I couldn't understand while listening
So helpful and informative, thank you for sharing. ♥️
Madison Gray I’m glad you enjoyed thank you for watching babe 😘
Joseline Jimenez always ♥️
Do you think the completd bowl without using elmers glue in the mix? I love this!!!
Thank you so much for watching XOXOXO I say yes! I ended up adding more to the bowl after making this video but did not have elmers glue -.- I tried w/o and it def worked
You know you can add white paint to your paper mache, right?
You should’ve added paint into your compound mixture then you wouldn’t have to paint and it would look natural
i saw this diy someone's blog and I def wanna make it:)
You should totally try making your own! Such a fun process XO
Curious what the baby oil does?
Great job! Great patience good for you it's what we need in this world so that's a plus keep up ☝ the good work!!!!🎉😉
Jesus Luv Thank you so much for watching! I agree fully that more patience in needed in this world ❤️

You didn’t show how you got the bowl out
Anita Miller Sorry, I actually just used the serán wrap to remove it. I made sure to leave extra so that I could tape the serán wrap inside the bowl. Very simple
hello! i hope u reply but i am having a hard time on removing it from the bowl? it rips :((( what do i do :(((
pls reply 😭😭
Did you use serán wrap on the bowl before putting the paper mache ? If so pull the serán wrap up (towards the new bowl) and it will come right off
How about tissue paper from the dollar store? That should work, shouldn't it?
Bailey Gray I believe so! I personally have never tried it that way but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
I just watched another channel and he used the cardboard plant starter cups, and it turned out really good.
Dollar store tissue paper has a coating on one side. This might prevent the total breakdown. I’m thinking to use toilet paper, would breakdown much quicker
Where did you get copper tea kettle?
chenina_bina 4 HomeGoods 😍😍 I love that store! This is copper season so keep an eye out!
When I make my paper mache clay, I dump the paper pulp into cheese cloth to squeeze out the water
When did you remove the bowl you molded it on?
mtkaren i removed it after the third day 🌻
@@JoselineJimenez Thank you!! You probably said that in the video but I just got all excited. LOL! I'm going to give it a try. Appreciate it!

what was paint name that you use
Shredded paper from a paper shredder would make things easier...clear unmarked paper
Jane Smart your so right! I wish I would have had a shredder! Cutting it all up was a pain 😩
mast👌mast👌
It would be so much easier if you had a shredder.
Do you sell these!? ❤️❤️❤️
I do not sell them sorry =/

Очень затянутый ролик.
I saw another TH-camr make the pulp with toilet paper .
Oh really!? I thought about using TP like the good ole elementary school days but ended up using regular paper. Works just as great but im sure the TP is a lot quicker to dissolve
Maybe unbleached TP
what last two color you use
lena haala Thank for watching! The last two colors are sting ray grey and fawn both by martha Stewart
too bad you didn't recycle paper instead of using new printer paper.
That would have been a better idea 😅 hindsight is 20/20
pape mache is strips of dry paper molded and stuck on with glue, not sure why youre doing it the hard way
bowler8 elongating a fun project never hurt a soul 😅
Maybe texture.
I would just buy 1lb paper mache from hobby lobby 😂😂😂 it seems too much work
Please credit Jonni from UltimatePaperMache.com for the recipe inspiration. She's the OG of paper mache clay.

Too much tool, no plan before start
You could have bought plaster or something and skipped the whole plaster like making step. fun to watch, but I would have tried a more simple way or just paid the money for a bowl already done.
If you're going to make a video, speak English, anyone who can afford furniture at those prices, can afford that much for the bowls
bowler8 Hola como estas 😂
