For all my failings, addictive personality is one of the burdens I just wasn't saddled with. And I try not to take it for granted. You've had my admiration for a while. You now have my sympathies, and much more of my admiration. I don't share your affliction, but I have had many people in my life that do. And I know how hard and rare it is for someone to overcome it. I appreciate your message, and include you in my prayers. The trafficked have been there a long time.

what a beautiful guitar ..very unique and the configuration and electronics are truly well thought through..and innovative. I want to commend you on bringing to light something that I was and am sure many are unaware of. And that could have sufficed..but you went beyond with a heartfelt confession that only a very courageous and repented and truly human individual could make. Dan, I really like the combo of the P90 & the Humbucker. Reminds me of the Tom Scholz Les Paul, which shares that pickup combo (might haft to try that on a future build). But you’ve made an cool looking guitar version of your bass. 👍

A powerful testimony begins with being vulnerrable and sharing what someone needs to change to please Him. That helps me and other to know that we are not the only ones. From guitar madness on eBay. Like all piezo pickups, it does require some eq or a preamp to sound that good. I EQ’d it in my recording software.

I did some website work and designed the coffee packaging for rising hope foundation and one of their main goals is to fight human trafficking. Prior to that I had no clue just how bad it still was. Sounds like A21 does a lot to combat these wicked people. Great charity for a great build.
the top wood, the shape, with that satin finish, looks fantastic. Also, that's a very good choice of a charity. I wasn't aware of most of that. I only knew about the modern day slavery in e.g. Quatar where workers are exploited to build stadiums.

Some years back I watched a video where some undercover reporter followed the life of a 14 year old girl that was sold into the sex slave trade by her own father for some drugs. When he was informed that his daughter had died he just laughed it off with a "that's life" type of comment. As a father and a human being that made me literally sick to my stomach.

Not really. This shape is loosely based on my Behemoth bass shape. I’m hoping to offer this guitar as a custom shop model here in the future when I start my guitar business.

If we want to make a difference with regards to human trafficking, we can start by voting for politicians that will close our southern border with Mexico across which a lot of human trafficking occurs.
First, that's an awesome guitar. You know I love having a piezo in there along with the electric pickups. I'm thinking I need to copy that wiring diagram!
And as to the charity, that's fantastic. I'm not familiar with A21, but it sounds like a fantastic organization. That's such an important thing to work to end human trafficking, and the porn industry is so much involved in it.

Dan, I have an addictive personality. I have been addicted to many bad things including porn. Thanks for sharing, thanks for the insight. I'm just trying to live a good clean life now. That's why I got back into music. When I start having temptation I grab my harmonica if I am out, or my guitar at home. Bless you my friend, I don't feel like I'm the only one anymore. That is a really good feeling.

Currious about the bridge. I have a Les Trem II on my LP but found the traditional saddles were messing up tuning. I ended up ordering a roller bridge.
Traditional tune o matic bridges are the worst for tuning stability. The name is a lie. This piezo bridge is much better since it has very smooth saddles, but a roller bridge is always best for tuning stability with a tremolo. Unfortunately a piezo bridge isn’t possible with roller saddles.
I'm confused on the cnc taking too long but using a router speed?
I have a more powerful hand router that I can push hard and route deeper by hand than the cnc. The cnc cuts slower and shallower. It’s helpful when things need to be precise or when I need to focus my attention else where, but for thinning a guitar body, it would take an hour on the cnc but I could do it by hand in 10 minutes.
@@GunsandGuitars I'm sorry, I didn't notice the dates and thought you were using the longmill
You’ll notice in the video I did use the LongMill to flatten the top and back pieces. Mostly because those pieces were thinner and required more accuracy, but also because I could work in shaping the guitar body while it was running.
And the LongMill is much faster than my other cnc, but still not faster than me! The main benefit is the accuracy and multitasking.
