I was struck by seeing the Heathrow planning documents from 2019… They had some gorgeous photos of 747s in Golden Sunlight at terminals. Even looked like a 747 was depicted landing on the 3rd Runway, something that I don’t think we’re ever going to see.
37:12 I’m usually good about noticing windows, but I never noticed their are 5 windows on all A380s behind the Upper Deck Aft Door. Apparently most A380s have the back 4 windows blocked out and leave one unplugged. So I wonder why this specific Singapore A380 has two unplugged windows behind the Upper Rear Door? I’m not good at the A380 layout but I wonder if there’s a bar or sleeping quarters back there. Just a little detail I never noticed! I miss these times so much!
Delta retired the type in late 2017 after buying the more efficient A350-900s. I’d be lying if I said I got over seeing the 747s get replaced and the red and silver Northwest Livery 7 years before that.
When Northwest Airlines merged with Delta in 2010 they aquired some of their 747-400's, they only used them on a few routes to East Asia and Europe, they were eventually retired in 2018, one of the 747's are now standing parked at a Delta Airlines museum
