For the Magma Booster not working when Tinkerson Jr. was in play, it was because the Smog enemy gave him Aimless, and you can't give Aimless to a card with Aimless.
Yeah, and if you can't play a card during the crown turn the game will let you just skip it with reroll button, but it was actually playable on the enemies so the option to skip never popped up
@@fosterz313 I think the game design idea is that Aimless is seen as a downside (as indicated by the Gnome Charm), and the devs didn't want to make downsides get overwritten so easily. Otherwise, you could have a card with x3 Aimless (like you said, that doesn't have a game impact beyond normal Aimless) and x4 Frenzy, if you got 3 Gnome Charms. Basically since you can't pay a further cost (More Aimless) you don't get further benefit (+X damage, Frenzy, etc.) That'd be my guess, anyway.
I just love to think that the frost giants were all getting ready for the battle, bantering about the latest trivia amongst themselves about how they are going to smoke their latest opponent; but as soon as they enter, four of them drop dead immediately and the other two are just looking around wide eyed like "tf just happened?!!"
Well, that was silly. Haha! I think part of the reason you are having trouble with the 50 shell achievement is you rarely allow yourself to recall cards to heal. Kernel is pretty much designed for it, and would help you with that achievement, but it in a sense sacks momentum if you are wanting kernel to do damage. The thing with kernel is though, he is more like a healing spell... not a unit... haha. The idea with him is you want him and shelbo. Bonus points if you have a way to hit him for 0-1 damage with a noomlined card (such as the grabber).
imo it should be able to add the damage anyways based on the phrasing, I wouldn't call it a bug but if it is restricted it should say "Add Aimless to the target _to_ Increase damage by 3" implying it is causal and not additional, even then it is a bit odd.
@@Retromation the game is consistent with this rule. You cant use charms to decrease a units attack below 0. you cant use a charm which applies consume to a card with consume. You cant use a card which adds attack to units or cards without attack. It seems weird but it *is* 100% consistent with the games logic of "if all of a cards effects cant be applied, the card cant be used"
@@Retromation My thought when I saw you you didn't see why it couldn't be played was that a quality of life change would be to highlight the conflict. If the word 'aimless' flashed red when you tried to play it you would (one would) easily see why (and that that is the intended interaction). Ditto for other conflicts
@@Retromation I'm honestly surprised that the frenzy worked since it counts as playing the card twice and the second time the target would have been illegal. If frenzy is allowed then it should be playable on any aimless target to be consistent. I also wonder if you can ink your own squad to 'remove' aimless and make them a legal target again.
its crazy how easy it is to get a infinit with clunkmasters... you just need to buy 3 crowns and be at max difficulty (lumin vase) and you have one lol, get anything that can benefit from having a budge of junk (tinkerson, mini mika, anything the gains snth from getting hit), crown that thing too with a 4th crown and its a autowin if your williing to grind the junk out lol

@@Retromation This is correct, it works this way because Snoffel's Ice isn't an on hit effect its a trigger. Adding effect charms doesn't add those effects to his triggers, only his on hit. I was so convinced I was about to make him OP too... reality is disappointing sometimes :/

oh it certainly makes sense, I am just trying to point out a way it can be conveyed more clearly by the game

You can't add aimless to aimless. It's because of smog. My least favorite enemy isln this fight. And also marrow always being behind smog.
