The Fortress is so well done and so well acted that it is a shame it will not be seen much in the West. Thanks to all the actors, especially the man who played the King. I accept that the opportunity for a great performance was there and he achieved it with excellence.
The actor in the physician does an excellent job. If you liked that movie you’ll like the series Marco Polo with the same actor, who serves a different ruler Kublai Khan. Similar premise and vibe, with similar religious tolerance and intolerance.
I absolutely loved The Physician! From knowing about appendicitis, to knowing how they actually gaged health then as opposed to now and what was considered acceptable practice of medicine in Europe vs the desert nations, where they actually valued good medical care....what a phenomenal film. And people saying how Europe was forward thing in the time frame they give for the movie..."Sweetie, they still bled people for evil spirits making them sick and only one town used vinegar as a cleaning agent during the plague".
The physician was a great film, i had no expectations going in so I was really impressed by the quality of the film and how well the whole movie was done
>he doesn’t understand that the Islamic caliphates had their own fair share of mysticism mixed with medicine >he thinks everyone in medieval Europe was stupid >he probably believes commoners didn’t knew how to read in the Middle Ages Historical hubris has to be just my favorite form of retardation online
Thanks for your excellent and skillful reviews of current historical movies. Your brief and cogent narratives are a real help and a chance to find really good resins to chose a fils that has interesting aspects and is well produced. Looking forward to your further previews. Thank You!
I loved erturgrul! although the 80 episodes seasons was pretty wild. Loved the evil crusader antagonists vs erturgruls tribe dynamic in the first season - amazing show - only got to 3rd season though i think
yes ive watched it, a very good show but very slow very little progress was made from episode to episode, not a good or bad thing tho. I have recommended Ertrugul in a couple of videos before
I disagree with you about The Physician. I found it slow paced and too long. The main plot predictable and mostly unbelievable. The bad guys were stereotypical and the music sounded like a copy of Lawrence of Arabia. It was far off the mark of being historically accurate. But I guess you don't notice these things as you said in the video that it took place in the first century when it was the eleventh century.
@@HistorySpark a new topic is welcome. It is hardly worth it however if you have nothing new to say about the human condition or a new viewpoint. Historical movies must first inform the viewer whether this is fantasy or historical fiction. Historical fiction must be based on historical fact. Simply disregarding historical fact does not make it fantasy, it makes a mess which is what this film was.
Girl rescuers: Peppermint Patty Jennifer Garner, Enough JLo, The Caller Halle Berry, Salt or Tomb Raider Angelina, The Terminator Linda Hamilton. Come on help a girl out 🤭 y'all know any more??
Furious: As if the Russians need another russian-language war movie. They can't even subscribe to Amazon Prime and we're expected to swallow more BS about them being super warriors. They are probably watching this before shooting an innocent Ukrainian hostage.

5- The Fortress
4- Furious
3- The Physician
2- The 12th Man
1- Sardar Udham
Sardar Uddham is a Must Watch for every cinema lover.
Last 40 so minutes are so heavy, so emotionally draining.
yes definitely, it is such an underrated film

I loved this film, too. It was an unusual topic, but well-written, filmed, and acted.

The Physician takes place in the 11th century, not the 1st century.

Yes, loved it
thx especially for Sadar Udham
Great video, however music doesn't really fit in my opinion
thanks for the feedback, what was it about the music that u thought didnt fit?
Honestly I don't know why exactly, could also just be my personal taste :)
Narrator sounds like he’s getting tickled while making this video 😂
Thanks I think lol
I love physician

thanks for your comment
Make a girl action movie list. Sick & tired of poor damsels in distress. Nowadays girls can be rescuers & kick butt too! & Still be girly
Any of these movie are not found amazon prime
No offense but is the narrator on sedatives? You’re pitching, pitch with enthusiasm friend!
yes, i will do better next time but i did have a cold when i made this video so wasnt in the best of moods at the time lol
Gratidão!!
thanks
Just saying, I don't think anyone here is looking for WWII content haha
They aren't on Prime Video... not helpful.
Furious: As if the Russians need another russian-language war movie. They can't even subscribe to Amazon Prime and we're expected to swallow more BS about them being super warriors. They are probably watching this before shooting an innocent Ukrainian hostage.
Wait that's racist asf and secondly what does today's war have to do with history cause kolovrat was actually a legendary bogatyr
Maybe there are Russians living normal lives outside but still enjoy watching things in their original language?
