I would majorly check out if it has an automatic the 48re transmission is good but by that time like ours it gets weak and we’re just nursing it along now but ever since 150k we would have the fluid changed every 50k and we would always have to change a shift solenoid maybe 2 but it’s been good can’t complain now the dually is at 325k and the gold hemi 3/4 ton is at 301k and just had the transmission rebuilt 545rfe and that does stand for (really fing expensive) @ $4k! Me personally I would rather buy something that old with that mileage than one let’s say with 50k miles!

Yup transmissions aren’t cheap I just had my 545rfe rebuilt and it was $4k

Nice, I bought my 03 3500 dually 5.9 HO 4x4 for $2000. It's amazing truck
They’re amazing trucks and just great all around that was an amazing deal even if you have to put several thousand into it

I just bought one with 340k runs like a champ do it there good trucks newer ones have that other high maintance system
