The winner of our showmanship class last year bent over badly. I think it’s judge preference for posture. The judge also didn’t like when we touched our pig. If we touched them it had to be with the whip or a brush.

So, there are some reels going viral of some kids showing pigs that are just doing some crazy death stare with the judge. They look totally intense like they are pissed off at the judge. I have seen kids show pigs at stock shows and have never seen anything like that. Any idea what that is all about???

Use 2 pig whips and you'll know when hes slowed down and directs well enough for show

What? Why are we doing this to being with? Why do I see so many of these kids making angry faces at the judge while showing the pigs? Such a strange thing

Some judges like intense stares. So if you see a kid mean-mugging a judge it’s because they are trying to get a good ribbon. After all, there’s two showings: your pig, and yourself.

What I do for my showings is: for market I’m not crouching very much, and for showmanship I am crouching a considerable amount.
