Spray Paint Storage Rack

This video is about how I built a custom organizer/display rack for spray paint cans. It holds 70 cans of paint both regular and tall cans. I can also be used to store caulk tubes. Greg, that turned out good, after seeing yours I had to come up with something for all my cans. That displays the cans so you can see all the colors and go right to the can you need, great project and don't take up a lot of room putting it on the door.

I see this video is a couple years old. How has the door hinge held up under the extra weight? Just curious because I think the idea is great.

Hey Joe, thanks for asking. The door is nor sagging at all. It's an 8 foot fiberglass door with 4 hinges. The hinges on the jamb side are fastened through the jamb into the block wall with 3 1/2" tap cons. Two in each hinge. I replaced the all the small screws in each hinge with 3" screws. I didn't show this part in the video but I really should have. It has really worked out well for me. At a glance, I know what I have. Thanks for watching!

what is that counter sink bit you use???

It is a tapered counter sink bit with stop collar. I've included a link. It's the closest to what I have. I purchased mine in a pack of 3 different sizes at lowes. Separate from the bits I purchased a 3 pack of the stop collars. The price on Amazon is what I paid for the 3 pack at Lowes. These bits work extremely well. With the stop collars you get the same countersink depth every time.

Works very well and it’s depth is adjustable on the countersink and the depth of the screw hole.
