    You just gave me an idea. I was thinking about making a kaleidoscope quilt. Rather than make 50 of them, I could sprinkle triangles throughout the quilt.......interesting. Thank you.

    P. S. I would like to point out your method of using rectangles as the base of cutting with your diamond ruler is a wonderful way to create angled units quickly when there is lots of piecing to be done. I employ this method for cutting the sides for Triangle In Square Units, HST's, Split Rectangles. It saves quite a bit of ruler turning. There is math involved to calculate the width from the strip height..but one can simply make two cuts and smoosh together and measure the width on any size they are contemplating.

      @@karenmiller8672 You'll need to add something to both sides to give it the angles so the triangle blocks can fit up against it. This blog may be helpful in showing the kind of wedge/half triangle pieces that could be used. www.kristamoser.com/post/filling-in-those-gaps

    My scraps are really scraps...I never have enough to coordinate anything like she has done with the black and white stripes, or what she is cutting with the black,white and the stripe. I see scrap patterns with all star points the same color and I can never do that...My scrap quilts which I love and make a lot of are really random. I think it's a difference from scraps and/or remnants.

    • @kristamoser
      @kristamoser  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our scraps all come from the same places! Just the bits left over from other projects... Then there are remnants that are the left over cuts from yardage. You could probably do something planned with your scraps to get a similar look to mine if you like it. Just gather up all your red scraps or some other color and "curate" your own collection of things that go together in a more planned way.
