Do you need to pre-wash so the red batiks won’t bleed?
You sure can!
@@kristamoser I never pre-wash anything and prefer not to. Have you had trouble with the batiks bleeding?
@@MrsBobsMom I didn't pre wash mine, and I had no trouble. But There is always a chance for bleeding with rich colored fabric so it's impossible to give 100% guarantee.

Love this! I have a question - why are the solids cut a different way than the stripes when they come out the same shape? Couldn’t you cut all of the right sides with the first cut up and to the right?
The striped fabric has to be cut that way to get the lines to go up the walls, but it isn't the most economical way to cut those shapes. It actually saves on fabric to cut the not striped fabrics the other way.
I had to add this quilt kit & ruler as my Christmas #1 wish list item for my kids & hubby and just hope & pray one of them can get it as a gift for me because I tried twice to order the kit and it was sold out (sigh). I am grateful you uploaded this SAL so I can come back to it because I really want to make this quilt. It is just stunning. I love it!

I would say this is intermediate. Even a confident beginner could do it if they took their time and were attentive to details.
On the kits, can I starch and is there fabric to allow for shrinkage. With bias cutting I like to starch heavy side.
There is plenty of fabric to starch!
