VN24 - Roll-off container throws truck on its side

VN24 - 27.06.2023 (D/M/Y) - Unna / Germany - In the morning, a small misadventure happened to the driver of an roll-off container truck. When loading a fully loaded so-called roll-off container, something went wrong. For reasons that were not clear, it slid onto the truck at an angle, did not get into the guide rail properly and was to be set down again. During this process, the dump body became overweight and tipped to the left of the vehicle, dragging it along with it, with the whole combination landing on its side. All persons were able to get to safety in time, no one was injured. Due to the tight situation, a small crane was initially ordered, but it was not available. So a slightly too large crane arrived, which could not be used. Mr. Kollmer from the salvage company then decided to try it himself first, which succeeded flawlessly. The truck and dump body could be set upright again without any problems. The truck was towed away.
