Leyland powered John Deere. At last someone has worked it out

This has a 6/95 engine from a lorry so revs higher. It would probably exceed 100 hp on the lorry pump at that. Been like it for over 20 years now and is used on their farm daily

I'd like to know more about this conversion , are there any photos or articles online or in any magazines about this tractor or similar conversions ? Would be very interesting . Thanks for the video.

Good day Dave . Boy with price of fuel the way it is, every bigger tractor should be turboed . Thanks

Hi Don you could be right, I think back then turbos were expensive and not so reliable. I`m told this is bigger than what I though too. hope you are keeping well . Dave

Thats had a 6 cyl conversion, looks like the leyland 6-98 engine so your HP is out its most probably the 85HP version although it could be 100HP

Good day from Ontario Canada Why didn't Leyland do better? This looks like any Ford tractor out there. The Nuffields done well in middle 60's to possibly lat 70's Thanks
