The best metal band I have heard in 42 years. The next time you want to hear Lobites, it should be a live number. You will be surprised by how good musicians they are. They all play the metal genre from the eighties It shouldn't be from Bloodstock Open Air, because there are the sound miserable.UP THE IRONS🤘

Yes, "STAY AWAY FROM BLOODSTOCK". They had to change their stage at the last second then they missed the chance for setup and the result is a disaster quality recording and Wolfpack (Lovebites followers) will get upset if you do it.

I have a slightly different opinion on the Bloodstock performance. I think every Lovebites fan should watch the Bloodstock performance. Their invitation to the mainstage was historic for the band. Their performance transcends the crappy audio. Therefore my suggestion is to not watch the Bloodstock until after having reacted to the songs on a very small setlist. I don't suggest doing a video reaction to the Bloodstock performance but definitely watch it once the songs are already known. I have watched the video several times and I always enjoy it because its Lovebites. The setlist is The Hammer of Wrath
, The Crusade, Don't Bite the Dust, Above the Black Sea and Shadowmaker. Other videos are available for these songs and they are excellent.

    I'm surprised that you've not come across Lovebites before because they sound as if they're right up your street. You're quite right in marveling at the deep pool of talent emerging out of the Japanese rock and metal scene but even amid that illustrious company, Lovebites stands out. In the admittedly biased opinion of their fans (known collectively as the Wolf Pack) Lovebites is the probably the best heavy metal band to emerge in the past five years anywhere on the planet. These ladies are insanely good and out of their repertoire of nearly 50 original songs there's not a bad one amongst them. Allow me to introduce them;
On drums.... Haruna.... the mighty atom. She's tiny little lady at just 4' 9" but she keeps up that thunderous beat relentlessly for a two hour show without breaking sweat and with an infectious grin all over her face.
On bass in the video.... Miho.... the original founder of the band and unrepentant metal head. Sadly she left the band last year and they are still in the process of auditioning for a new bassist.
On guitar with blond hair.... Midori.... the ultimate shred machine, flamboyant joyous and just a little sexy with insane technical ability.
On guitar with dark hair.... Miyako..... the quiet, modest and ever so slightly mad genius who is the creative heart of the band. Brilliant guitarist and concert standard pianist, she is also the major song writer in the band..... called "The Golden Touch" by the other members of the band and "The Ice Queen" by the fans.
On Vocals.... Asami..... The fairy Goddess who despite her tiny size at just 4' 10" commands the stage with an awesome presence, thrills us with her soaring vocals and mesmerises us with her balletic movements.
You have a wild ride ahead of you with this band..... enjoy.

LOVEBITES - Glory to the World lyrics:
Everything around us will fall into dark
When you keep on looking into the sadness
Nobody in this world may ever be free
My hearts will shiver and I can't take deep breath
But rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify
The dawn will come and bring the light in this world
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me
Standing in nowhere and searching for meanings
A sleepless night haunting us like a shadow
A blur in the future, the fear of unknown
There will come a time where we can leave everything behind
Breeze are running through the land and endless to the sky
Together we will make it through this deep night
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me
And rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify
The dawn will come and bring the light and lead us to a new world
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Wherever you go, this world that we breathe together,
    Nothing more precious

Thank you for your reaction. "Glory to the World" is a song from LOVEBITES' third EP "Glory, Glory, to the World" (March 2021).
It was nominated "Global Metal Release of the Year" at the 2021 "Global Metal Apocalypse" awards, it finished second!
Song "Glory to the World" written in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic swept the world, when millions of people began to get sick and die, the world plunged into the darkness of pandemic. People get depressed. LOVEBITES concerts have been canceled due to Covid restrictions. The church, the image of Jesus Christ, his bloody palms and forehead are not accidentally present in the MV. This is the group's positive message that deliverance will come and the pandemic will be defeated. In Music Video "Glory to the World" ,it is especially noticeable that Asami (lead vocal) has been studying classical ballet for many years. Therefore, her movements, especially the movements of her hands, are graceful and beautiful.
*To be more surprised, you need to watch LOVEBITES live (videos from concerts).😊

Great song, but there are many even better ones. Lovebites play power metal, some more classic hard rock and heavy metal, thrash metal and they even have proggy songs. So much to explore. Set the World on Fire (live) should be next.
Also there are indeed similarities to Unlucky Morpheus, a band I like a lot as well. Even cooler is the fact that both bands have filmed a music video in this church. It's apparently a wedding church in Japan and many bands have used it for music videos over the years. Also check out Gacharic Spin - MindSet. Not metal, but more amazing music from Japan.

Great reaction. They keep this power, velocity, and quality of performance without a sweat all through their shows which lasts about two hours each. The drummer Haruna is just insane. She just love playing metal and she is always so happy and natural while she is on her kit. All their songs are composed and arranged by themselves except for some cover songs. Every member composes, and this song was done by Midori the blond guitarist, though the dark haired guitarist Miyako is the main composer of the band.
If you like music like this, I strongly recommend their Winds of Transylvania live version. th-cam.com/video/qd_qop5j1bs/w-d-xo.html
BTW, the bassist Miho is the founder/leader of the band and a highly skilled bassist, but regretfully left the band a year ago. My favorite her performance is this, A Frozen Serenade th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html. If you want to see her play full chorus solo, try Eagle Fly Free Helloween cover th-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/w-d-xo.html.

Dude, funny thing, this might make the top25 of their songs. Lol. That harmonized solo has megadeth written all over it. They could play with any metal band period. Wait till you hear their thrash, holy F sh*t. They do it all and beautiful doing it! Drummer is 4' 9", how do you like them apples!! Next up Holy War live '21. We'll have you do a bunch of thrash then drop A Frozen Serenade and Swan Song w/Chopin intro on you, you'll faint. To see what they can do power / thrash, then they drop those songs on you. As the saying goes, YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET. They are flawless live!
PS. Swan song is 8mins and you'll think it's 4mins, trust me! But, it has to be with Chopin intro to get the full feel!

I’m 62. I’ve seen many famous bands, some from their inception (Maiden and Queensryche being two examples). So, controversial though it may seem, I consider Lovebites the best band I have ever come across. I consider them the best (in terms of talent) band in rock history. You will hear it from many, but Lovebites
    a) Have no bad song. Out of 50. That’s not rose tinted bias, anyone will tell you they can’t honestly name a Lovebites album filler.
    b) Perform as well live as in the studio. Actually I’d say better…because live allows many other advantages.
    c) Have personalities to match their looks. By that I mean that you couldn’t meet more courteous, honest, sincere individuals.
    d) Write consistently good lyrics which are very non-metal yet fit perfectly.
    e) Compose and arrange some incredible material (along with a “6th” member, Mao)
    f) Have unquestionably the best twin leads in a band ever. We’re talking symbiosis.
    g) Have an outstanding road crew and post production team who provide the cleanest live sound you’ll ever hear.
    h) Have an equally amazing video production team for both live and MV. Their videos aren’t flashy but they are slick.
    I) And finally, have a catalogue of releases that follow an alphabetical progression from A to I (see, I did it on purpose 🙂) meaning diehard fans are wondering what “J” word they will choose as the first in the next release.
Great reaction. Welcome to musical perfection.

@@RosstaFloss This is due to the system of raising children, with the education system, with cultural traditions, high self-discipline and hard work of the Japanese. The system of upbringing and school education is built in such a way as to reveal the abilities and talents of children. Starting from kindergarten in Japan, children begin to study music, sports, choreography, painting, singing, etc. For example, learning to play musical instruments is included in the school curriculum. The child himself chooses the instruments on which he wants to learn to play. Almost all children, after lessons, voluntarily attend various circles and sections. Many children attend several sections or circles, for example: painting, music, sports. And the child does everything of his own free will. As a result, Europe and America, having become acquainted with Japanese bands, begin to wonder where so many talented musicians come from in Japan?
      Example, LOVEBITES:
      - Asami (vocals) started classical ballet at the age of two. She spent 16 years studying classical ballet. She is a ballerina and a great vocalist.
      - Midori (blonde, guitar) from the age of two she learned to play the piano, from the age of 8 on the electric organ.
      - Miyako (black hair, guitar) has been studying the piano since the age of 3 and wanted to make a career as a classical pianist.
      - Haruna (drums), started playing drums and keyboards at school.
      - Miho (bass guitar) also started playing bass guitar while in school.

I've been discovering new music from various countries over the past couple of years, but Japan is certainly leading the way in quantity of music acts. LOVEBITES, Nemophila, BAND-MAID, Asterism, D-Drive, Babymetal, Unlucky Morpheus, Ningen Isu, Galneryus, and Wagakki Band are all fantastic groups that offer something different that appeals to me. I took a deep dive into Japanese rock/metal after discovering Band-Maid. I have to admit that I dismissed Lovebites as too good to be true. I watched the mv for Rising and my initial idiotic thought was that there is no way that women that look like that can really be that good. I didn't revisit Lovebites for several months until I decided to watch them do a live performance of Helloween's Eagle Fly Free. I listened to Helloween in the late 80's and was very familiar with the song. Their cover of that song blew me away and I felt very, very foolish for dismissing them as I did. I have now listened to every song in their catalog multiple times and not one of them is a filler. They are firmly in my triumvirate of Japanese bands - Band-Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. I consider Miyako of Lovebites and Kanami of Band-Maid as two of the best songwriters in the world right now.

You can start with Holly War live next and than go step by step to continue the journey to Lovebites metal madness. Welcome to The Wolfpack club bro...

Welcome to my Metal World. It will be interesting to see your face when listening to more songs from this band! The comments from other metal fans and Wolfpack members are absolutely correct! It's been over a year since I first heard the song Shadowmaker by this band. I love all songs and covers by this band. And I'm amazed by this band every day. You said it right! This band is one of the best metal bands out there! So incredibly talented band! It's crazy how many talented metal bands there are in Japan that shine very high! I love Lovebites, Nemophila and Destrose (this band is not actice since of 2015). Have a beautiful day with my heartfelt greetings from the Czech republic :-).

Well, it seems you’ve just been severely lovebitten, too. Yes, welcome to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. They really shine in their live performances. I recommend songs from the concerts “Wacken Open Air” (Germany, 2018), “Daughters of the dawn” (2019), “Five of a kind” (2020), “Awakening From The abyss” (studio live, 2020) and “Heavy metal never dies” (2021); avoid “Bloodstock” because audio is not good (not their fault). Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”, “Shadowmaker”, “Holy war”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania” (all live).
    Lineup:
    Haruna - Drums
    Miho - Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
Some people say that rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan.
Currently the band is in the process to find the new bassist.

    Finally! Lovebites.
Why don't you knуew them before?
This is one of the coolest bands for me! I fell in love with Lovebites from the first "sight". They are really amazing. So talented, so beautiful, so epic!
Definitely you should check out their live performances. In many sides they are cooler than music videos. Try to watch "Holy war" and "Set the world on fire" for beginning.
The bass player is always headbanging - you should recognize her! :) She is awesome bassist!
Thank you for your reaction! I am waiting for more Lovebites' reactions...and other Japanese bands :) And welcome to the Wolfpack!

    Great reaction!
And I was surprised that the name of Unlucky Morpheus came out.
Another band I would like you to listen to in Japanese heavy metal is "Galneryus".
The interesting things that Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus, and Galneryus have in common are that "the members who were learning classical music are enrolled" and "they have amazing playing skills".
    These three bands are terrifying.

You listed many of the reasons this band would be your jam, so welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html;
    “Holy War”: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html.
For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, as you saw, their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three more of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
    "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

This song was created as a cheering song for people around the world suffering from COVID-19. Midori , the composer of this song, commented, "I composed this song with church music in mind. When I went to USA, and between UK tour, whenever I found time, I went to the local black church several times. The power of church music, the energy of people, was tremendous. I think this song has had that kind of atmosphere from the moment it was born. With the wish to create a song with such power, we paid attention to every detail of the arrangement. The world is in trouble right now, but I hope this song can help push your back.". And a little comment by Asami who wrote this lyrics. "Like Midori, I liked church music and often went to church. Originally, I was involved in church music and I also sang gospel. That's why I decided to include the word "Hallelujah" in the song first." Grace to my heart, hallelujah!🤘🔥 🐺🔥🤘

This was also my first Lovebites song. Since first hearing this a couple years ago, they have never disappointed me. Everything I hear from them just convinces me more that they're the best metal band in the world right now. And I've been listening to metal for more than 40 years. The level of talent in this band is almost incomprehensible!
Oh, and Miho is a phenomenal bassist. If you watch and listen closely, you can tell that she's playing most of those fast runs right along with the guitars. Alas, she has left the band (personal reasons) and I'm not sure if they've settled on her replacement yet.

Oh boy, you just opened a huge can of whoop-ass, mind-blowing face melting in-your-face band that is out of this world, and as you said "The Best" Rock/metal band known to the rock world. I agree there are many other great bands but they don't come close to a millimeter of talent these ladies have, I am sorry to say no I am not sorry to say that they make all of the male bands look like amateurs. So glad you didn't start your journey with what every other reactor does and that is "Holy War" too many do it and never return, honestly speaking this is a mere tip of the iceberg of 50+ songs they have composed. Soon enough you will know their names Asami vocals, Haruna drums, Miyako guitar, Midori guitar, and Miho bass is no longer with the band. They have only been around for 5 years on released material but are 6 years in existence and everything they put out is all phenomenal soon you will realize that they aren't just a one-style, one genre band they are indeed a very diversified and versatile band. Miyako the dark hair guitarist does 50% of the compositions and writing and Asami does 90% of the lyrics. Miyako loves to add and infuse the classical element into her songs, you'll see and hear soon enough. All I can say for requesting or recommending songs any will suffice all are masterpieces soon to be classics. Hope to see more Lovebites and you continue your journey trust us you will not be disappointed at all. Awesome reaction buddy, and lots of thanks for your complete honesty about not comparing them to any other band because in reality, they are in a league of their own, they raised the caliber to a very high scale and it would be extremely hard for any other band to be as they are. I just subscribed hoping to see more, You said you like instrumental bands and MV I got two for you that require your absolute attention.

These two young ladies are beasts on the guitar and utilize the fretboard like there is no tomorrow, Hal-Ca of Asterism is 19, Ayu Gusfanz just turned 17 in June both began to learn guitar at age 10 both began writing and composing at a very young age, hopefully you will see for yourself what I am talking about

Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friend!! ...I want invite you to give us your opinion, like music lover, reacting to who is considered the best singer of the world...His name is Dimash Kudaibergen, a young singer who handle 7 octaves and 3 semitones of vocal range (An alien)...He has been singing since he was 5 years (he is 28 now) and he can sing in more than 15 languages...But if you decide to react to Dimash for the first time, please don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did of the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one...You have to be prepared because you are likely to receive a flood of views, comments and new subscribers....And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they deceived him and treated him very badly.!...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S. Live 2017.....th-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/w-d-xo.html

Haruna, the drummer, wastes no motion whatsoever. Every drum lick is precise and fast. Best metal band on the planet, male or female.

I understand Mark. Please keep in mind that 90% of the reaction channels here on TH-cam will also use Overlay in many of their uploads. Its simply a precaution, since our channels are subject to takedowns.
