Not to be confused with "Confessa+Diva Dance" or simply "Diva Dance." You can save the last one for a followup. ;) It's very short. There are so many great Dimash songs. "Opera 2" is a playful one from the Chinese show, "The Singer" which was 5 years ago. That show was his introduction to an international audience. Add "Ogni Pietra/Olimpico" to your list to view at some point. It was written for him by Igor Krutoy, a renowned Russian composer/producer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. Oooooouuuuhhh... Dimash! He is such an amazing singer. I find that singers with such a range are often doomed to constantly wow their audience with vocal agility, a little like classical opera composers always challenged opera singers with tougher and tougher runs and vocal gymnastic. It’s a gift ans a curse. Dimash is still young. He has many musical influences from classical to Queen, Michael Jackson and Lara Fabian and of course music from his own country. He writes his own songs, plays multiple instruments, is even interested in music and video production. That really high passage at the end is almost *2* octaves BELOW the highest note he can hit live (in the video for "Unforgettable Day - Gakku '17"). That really low note near the end is almost 1 octave ABOVE the lowest note he can hit live ("KNOW - Victorian Awards '19"). In between are songs like "Sinful Passion" and "Olimpico" where he shows off vocal techniques that make you question what planet he is actually from.
Great reaction! SOS is a good start, but in order to understand Dimash's style you'll need much more than 3 songs, unlike other artists his range of styles is also impressive.
The "problem" with Dimash is that he can sing in any music genre he wants - pop, rock, rap, opera, jazz, ethnic music... and sometimes several of this generes in one song. :) His work is multifaceted.

Your info at the beginning of the song is dated about Dimash’s range. This is 2021. At the China show I am singer he performed sos. Then he had at least 6 octaves which everybody knew at that time as was listed in Wikipedia and known by all the vocal coaches. But after the show still in 2017 in concert at Gakku he hit a D8 one note higher than a D7 on the piano. At another concert in China with li gang another Chinese opera singer they did the drunken concubine and the diva dance he hit several base notes in the first octave.that’s between 7 and 8 octaves. Dimash has sung fully in every register on the piano. You guys are late to the picture and your info is not correct. Dimash like in this song which spanned about 4 octaves didnt just go throwing his total range about in every song. Those concerts were in 2017. What in the world is his range now 4 years later with a guy who practices 3 hours a day with or without a vocal coach. He’s made his voice sound like an electric guitar with a slide up, he’s done a flute with its flutter and a sax with tremelo. There is an order and a deep meaning in what he does in this song. The song is about contrasting conditions and emotions, both physically and mentally. The song is about contrasts between life and death, happiness and depression, beauty and ugliness, low and high - he is grounded and depressed but he wants to be a bird and fly high up in order to feel better. It is a song for one male singer, the highs and lows reflect the lyrics - when they are about the character's bleak life, he sings low, when he dreams to be a bird and speaks of a spiritual connection with other worlds , he sings high. The song is previously sung by the famous French singers Daniel Balavoine, Gregory Lemarshal and others, but they all sing the highs as falsetto, while Dimash sings in a mix and head voice. SOS is a good starting point for Dimash. You get to experience a lot of his vocal capabilities. However, there is s lot more stystically and vocally. Most reactors get recommended Sinful Passion (th-cam.com/video/W9FlDMCo8LU/w-d-xo.html) and find it even more impressive. He is familiar with almost every style, classic, pop, Kazakh traditional, Russian estrada, jazzy scat, rap, you name it, he does it. Be prepared to get a lot of recommendations and be surprised every time.
@@BritPopsReact Sinful Passion is originally a pop-rock song by tha Kazakh band A-Studio from the late 1990s, but it was spectacularly rearranged for Dimash. The link I have sent you shows him performing the song with members of the original band and the composer at the keyboard. Watch the video to the end to see Dimash honour the band members.
@@BritPopsReact HI Boys that range thing the letter refers to the note in the octave. The number is the octave on the piano. I forget the first note to the far left where the keys start. Let's call it F that is F1 the next F is 13 continuous notes up to the right. The next F is F2. In each octave you pick the start note then you play 13 consecutive notes White and Black keys, and you arrive at the same note only an octave higher. The piano has a total of 88 keys which means 88 divided by 13 which gives you 6 full octaves with parts of one more split between far right and left of the piano. The top note on the piano is a D8. Dimash can vocalize that note. Hope this helps it gave me a headache trying to write it.
The song was originally performed by men, but in my opinion they were straining on the high notes or had to go to a delicate falsetto. Dimash can sing forcefully at all ranges or drop to a whisper. Do watch more, since he's versatile and will surprise you every time.

Hi. If you want something more pop and in English you could try ‘Screaming’ ( the idol hits version has a little rap in his native language too) or ‘Across endless dimensions’. His English has improved a lot and is better in those songs than some of his earlier ones.

Not to be confused with "Confessa+Diva Dance" or simply "Diva Dance." You can save the last one for a followup. ;) It's very short. There are so many great Dimash songs. "Opera 2" is a playful one from the Chinese show, "The Singer" which was 5 years ago. That show was his introduction to an international audience. Add "Ogni Pietra/Olimpico" to your list to view at some point. It was written for him by Igor Krutoy, a renowned Russian composer/producer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. They collaborated on that song...and I think others, too.

Oooooouuuuhhh... Dimash! He is such an amazing singer. I find that singers with such a range are often doomed to constantly wow their audience with vocal agility, a little like classical opera composers always challenged opera singers with tougher and tougher runs and vocal gymnastic. It’s a gift ans a curse. Dimash is still young. He has many musical influences from classical to Queen, Michael Jackson and Lara Fabian and of course music from his own country. He writes his own songs, plays multiple instruments, is even interested in music and video production. That really high passage at the end is almost *2* octaves BELOW the highest note he can hit live (in the video for "Unforgettable Day - Gakku '17"). That really low note near the end is almost 1 octave ABOVE the lowest note he can hit live ("KNOW - Victorian Awards '19"). In between are songs like "Sinful Passion" and "Olimpico" where he shows off vocal techniques that make you question what planet he is actually from.
Great reaction! SOS is a good start, but in order to understand Dimash's style you'll need much more than 3 songs, unlike other artists his range of styles is also impressive.
The "problem" with Dimash is that he can sing in any music genre he wants - pop, rock, rap, opera, jazz, ethnic music... and sometimes several of this generes in one song. :) His work is multifaceted.

You can check out song,what Dimash composed, when he was 18/19 years old - Unforgettable day,which he performed at Gakku festival. There you can hear famous D8,which is of the piano. Dimash hold this whistle for 5 seconds with vibrato! Crowd of 150 000 witnessed this unbelievable high note!

Your info at the beginning of the song is dated about Dimash’s range. This is 2021. At the China show I am singer he performed sos. Then he had at least 6 octaves which everybody knew at that time as was listed in Wikipedia and known by all the vocal coaches. But after the show still in 2017 in concert at Gakku he hit a D8 one note higher than a D7 on the piano. At another concert in China with li gang another Chinese opera singer they did the drunken concubine and the diva dance he hit several base notes in the first octave.that’s between 7 and 8 octaves. Dimash has sung fully in every register on the piano. You guys are late to the picture and your info is not correct. Dimash like in this song which spanned about 4 octaves didnt just go throwing his total range about in every song. Those concerts were in 2017. What in the world is his range now 4 years later with a guy who practices 3 hours a day with or without a vocal coach. He’s made his voice sound like an electric guitar with a slide up, he’s done a flute with its flutter and a sax with tremelo. You can read about him for an hour in Wikipedia and some of it is true tho out dated.
There is an order and a deep meaning in what he does in this song. The song is about contrasting conditions and emotions, both physically and mentally. The song is about contrasts between life and death, happiness and depression, beauty and ugliness, low and high - he is grounded and depressed but he wants to be a bird and fly high up in order to feel better. When he is referring to the ground he goes down, when he is talking about flying up like a bird, he goes high. Everything makes perfect sense.

Let's make one thing clear: Dimash is not only good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the sound field, Dimash is a totality. This is no longer about just octaves, whistle registers (as you'll hear) or even more than a simple, immense, vocal technique, Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called an all-powerful cell. In this sense is a "mother voice". From this cell any type of tissue can be generated, what are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap etc ...). Dimash already has, from the beginning, all genres. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a colorature, an inflection, a declension of his general voice. The same applies , of course, to all your voice registers. This also leads to the fact that that he easily sings in various languages. The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of their general sonority. SOS is a good starting point for Dimash. You get to experience a lot of his vocal capabilities. However, there is s lot more stystically and vocally. Most reactors get recommended Sinful Passion (th-cam.com/video/W9FlDMCo8LU/w-d-xo.html) and find it even more impressive.
He is familiar with almost every style, classic, pop, Kazakh traditional, Russian estrada, jazzy scat, rap, you name it, he does it. Be prepared to get a lot of recommendations and be surprised every time.

@@BritPopsReact HI Boys that range thing the letter refers to the note in the octave. The number is the octave on the piano. I forget the first note to the far left where the keys start. Let's call it F that is F1 the next F is 13 continuous notes up to the right. The next F is F2. In each octave you pick the start note then you play 13 consecutive notes White and Black keys, and you arrive at the same note only an octave higher. The piano has a total of 88 keys which means 88 divided by 13 which gives you 6 full octaves with parts of one more split between far right and left of the piano. The top note on the piano is a D8. Dimash can vocalize that note. Hope this helps it gave me a headache trying to write it.

The song was originally performed by men, but in my opinion they were straining on the high notes or had to go to a delicate falsetto. Dimash can sing forcefully at all ranges or drop to a whisper. Do watch more, since he's versatile and will surprise you every time.

Hi. If you want something more pop and in English you could try ‘Screaming’ ( the idol hits version has a little rap in his native language too) or ‘Across endless dimensions’. His English has improved a lot and is better in those songs than some of his earlier ones.
