This is gorgeous! I would opt for all black like that everytime! Edit: I really like the floor plan on this. If you don’t want to pull a big ole 40+’ trailer, this is a fabulous option!
I know people say ugh black would be hot, but I like the looks of it. Love the size of the kitchen, wish they would have switched the stove and trash area... would have made for a better cooking area. I really like how they did the table and chairs. If it was just me I think I like this one better than most I have seen so far color and all!
I love it,but i would give up some counter space, move the fridge to the other side and put a larger sofa. We currently have a 2017 drv kssb4. We absolutely love it, but it's rather heavy. 21,000 lbs. So, we're looking for something a bit lighter. Possibly the montana 3813ms legacy package, full body paint.
I love this! I wish they made a trailer or camper van version since not everyone likes a 5th wheel. I wish there'd be more black inside, but overall, this is a wonderful camper! Thank you for sharing it with us.
This is a great floorplan for the older couple. I'm glad to see a shorter 5th wheel that doesn't look cheap. A lot of people want nice without having the stress of towing a longer 5th wheel. A couple changes would make it perfect. Move the outside shower to the rear of the RV, you can clean your beach items off without getting water and sand on your rug on the camp side. Move the sink or stove to the camp side counter that will give you plenty of room on each side of both. Would definitely want the full body paint. Great job.
This is a cool model ! I love the black outside the large countertop area and the fact the table is hidden yet you still have one if you want one . Could use for a desk too which I like . Very innovative floor plan. .
I would think the all black (as sharp as it looks) would attract a lot of heat making it tougher to cool off during the hot summer months Layout is pretty cool The hidden table was interesting but right above the fireplace? And lastly (and this isn't concerning the 5th wheel), can everyone please stop pressing Myles on his wife being absent? It's obvious that he doesn't want to address it Maybe subscribe to his new channel and the subject will be discussed there I hate seeing all of the negative questions and comments about it I try to keep a positive attitude Maybe she's doing all of the editing on these mass amounts of videos he's putting out Maybe they are expecting Maybe she's getting everything prepped for this new channel Ok, stepping off my soap box
I live in a cool/cold climate, l'm thinking black may be a better heat absorber, providing a slight edge with passive solar heating to the whole rig, no good in the desert, but building for a region could be an intelligent move, for both manufacturer, and customer.👍
the only thing that is missing from my must have list is a second seating area so we have room for myself, husband and our two 100lb dogs because they love hanging out on the couch with us
For a length of 31 feet, this is really well thought out. It is a nice couple's coach that would discourage extra people from crashing for more than a day. Putting in a pull-out flip-down table is a great idea and folding chairs under makes this a clever design. Since there is floor space I'd add a free-standing moveable table to use in the living area. There is so much storage in it, too. I'm a big RV window person so the only downside is that the windows are all so small except for those over the theater seats. But otherwise, a very nice fifth wheel.
Cougar should consider producing more Midnight Black models. It might not be tge best thing for Southern states, where it gets pretty hot, but In tge Great White North, the extra heat that it would trap on Sunny days... when it's -25 Celsius (or less) would be an added benefit! For those who say it's not untended for such cold climates, save it! Anyone buying an RV in Canada will know whether they can rough it through a winter in tgeir rig; and trust me: if you can survive a Canadian winter in a van, then you can live like a king through a Canadian winter in an RV... even if you have to winterize it yourself.
There are more🙂 I've seen them in the shipping lots and they are absolutely stunning in person. I think in this video "cougar" is silver, but the one in the yard was gold & it looked amazing!
This would be perfect for my partner and I. The bathroom is a fantastic design especially for someone with mobility issues, I love the built in seat! I’d definitely not want it in black as I live in Australia and it would be too freaking hot in the summer.
I wonder how many designers have made the bed with the mattress shoved between the walls.? Come on they are a pain in the butt to make because by the time you get the sheets and bedspread on they bunch up by the wall , or in our case under that worthless shelf by the bed. With this unit it’s too small for us, but all in all I will rate it very high. 9.8 out of 10. I used to haul all types of trailers from Indiana to all over Canada and for a very long time I dreaded hauling Keystones. They have come up in my opinion , in the quality of workmanship. If we had not just recently purchased a new unit 2 years ago I would consider a 39 ft all black Keystone. I am impressed.
Yeah, I think seeing as there is so much worktop space and cabinets, they easily could lose the pantry and coffee bar and put a love seat or recliners there instead.
PERFECT for us. I was waiting for a 30’ nice open 5th wheel. I was waiting for Brinkley but this is the one. I’m waiting for our local dealer to get it in.
Love the black!!! Lightweight, and so much counter space!! Lost us with the seat in the shower (fold down would be better in our opinion.) I envision it with a comfy sofa with an ottoman instead of recliners. Possibly a sleeper sofa or storage space underneath for the ottoman. Love the double pano windows in the kitchen! If we saw this going down the road, it would definitely turn our heads! Good looking like a ZZTop sharp dressed man! 😎😜 Play that song on the outdoor speakers, crack open an ice cold beer and I’m in!
@@judyross182 Oh we meant the kind of seat this bath showed, the plastic built-in seat that takes up half the leg room. Always in the way of our feet. Either way, nice looking camper. We like it ☺️
I've been watching this video and some others making my checklist of what I want and don't. This one ticks almost all my boxes! now to win the lottery so we can get a truck to go with! I'd love the black! possible custom in a different color.... one thing I've considered is putting in a cat door for hidden litter box. I've thought of doing it in one of the lower cabinets but I want to know if we can buy an extra door to put on for resale. that's one of my biggest questions.
I want a New midnight black trailer now Keystone !!!!!!!!! Keystone please bring a black version in all the Keystone families. This would look so incredible with my Brand new bright blue Ford. Oh yah, please bring them to all Keystones.
How would you compare the build quality of a Cougar compared to a Rockwood? We were originally going to go with a Cougar bunk but it was just too heavy. We've found a Rockwood with a similar Floorplan. The problem is there aren't any Rockwoods nearby for us to go look. I don't want to drive 5-6 hours to find out it looks or feels cheap.
I’m a single man living in mine…it has two fold up chairs. I don’t have a lot of company and it works great for me…not everyone wants a lot of seating that won’t be used..
This is a rolling BBQ smoker. Bring it down to Texas and you won’t be able to cook it down. This past summer my roof temp was 131 degrees (direct sun light). I would almost guarantee the walls of this thing would warp after one summer in Arizona or Texas!!!!
From experience of being an RV park manager, black is not a good idea. Texas heat, triple digits. Other states, same problem. A few residents, although not many, have had black painted RV's. They really regretted it. They could not keep their rigs cool enough..sun beating down, making it much hotter. My brother has a black cargo carrier converted into an RV. He plans on painting it a light color due to heat. He lives in a cooler state, but says it's a problem with the sun. Air conditioner works harder as he has to adjust the temps lower for coolness. Utility bills raise due to that issue. The black looks sharp, but no. The bright interior is nice, but the living space sucks. No comfortable space for guests, also not family friendly. The table configuration is weird. If that fireplace gives off heat, then to use the table, it would have to be turned off as a heat source while sitting at it. Where does one sit to work on projects to leave out on a table while a 2nd person wants to watch TV? I'm also not a fan of the sink being beside the stove like that. I'd prefer to have work space beside my stove. With all that counter space, the sink should not be smack beside the stove. That railing to the exterior stairs, nope. Black again. You can cook your hands grabbing that thing! I like the concept of the railing though. Being 5'4", 5th wheel entry doors are a challenge as I have to climb stairs, then back down them again to open the door on the tall 5th wheels. It looks like they tried to be creative with this rig, but it's just not practical. There's too many cons. Thanks for sharing though!
We owned a Cougar for seven years and really liked it. This new floor plan is even better, along with the technology upgrades. However, I do think that folding table is lame! It's clumsy, too small, and sits right above the fireplace. Weird! No room to entertain another couple or do remote work efficiently. This "table" would be a deal breaker for me as I'd be looking for something different.
One work HOT! My latest RV us 2021 Has all black shades. When I camped anywhere in Direct sun and had shades down the air conditioner could not keep up. This has got to be an oven. Really not practical. I have been to campgrounds mid summer full sun and they had power issues with so much draw from air conditioners. Imagine this black thing 2 hours full sun no air.
At least you don't have to worry about black streaks on the outside walls. That being said, I love the color but would not buy it because black is BY FAR the most difficult color to keep clean and it will show EVERY imperfection.
I have to wonder, what is the point of showing something no one else can have at an RV show? And, while it might look great being towed by a black truck with chrome trim, black is going to make it very difficult to keep cool in the hot sun. It's also going to show every speck of dirt and every scratch it ever gets - so, not very practical.
This is gorgeous! I would opt for all black like that everytime! Edit: I really like the floor plan on this. If you don’t want to pull a big ole 40+’ trailer, this is a fabulous option!
Love it in black. Very smart for the table and chairs. Quite sure that a lot of people would like to own this fifth wheel. Thx Myles

Love the blacked out. As someone else mentioned it's a bit small unless it's just a couple full time traveling/living
I love the color but only in theory. I think it would absorb too much heat and make it really hard to keep cool.

This would be perfect for my partner and I. The bathroom is a fantastic design especially for someone with mobility issues, I love the built in seat! I’d definitely not want it in black as I live in Australia and it would be too freaking hot in the summer.
Why is the "Coffee Station" as BTBRV calls it and the pantry separate from the kitchen? Not sure about that.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS, Thanks for sharing bro
I would prefer the regular color option but I love that floor plan. It’s perfect for full time use.

Please make more all black midnight whatever editions, that’s outstanding - but more, in different models
I like the black because you can hide within the trees better.😊 I would love to have it but bigger.
What about summer time heat? Seems to me it would draw the summer heat!!!
I think it’s ridiculous for somebody to make something so nice and only have it where two people can sit down.
Yeah, I think seeing as there is so much worktop space and cabinets, they easily could lose the pantry and coffee bar and put a love seat or recliners there instead.
Myles said it's a couple's coach. There are two recliners and two chairs... so two guests could visit.
Disagree, I’m unsocial homebody!

best paint on any fifth wheel. I hate the Swirl and mega lines on fifth wheels . just make them solid colors.

It's so beautiful on the outside! Sad on the inside that there' s only room to sit "comfortably" for 2. disappointment for 75k!
The dresser does have storage. It slides towards you
Personally, I really like the look of a more solid colour. I wish we saw it more.
Black great clean & shiny! Hot in 100 deg heat! Lol 😝
I love the black!!! BUT I would kill myself trying to keep it clean. We do a ton of desert / sand dunes camping and it would be filthy all the time.
Yes Cougar, people want Midnight Edition.
We want more blackouts!
The tv pulls down on gas struts…two fold up chairs under the cabinet
Totally gorgeous love it
It Works as for as the Steps
