Great video, thanks for sharing. I always learn new things watching your videos. Can't wait for the next episode.
Thanks for watching!
Hats off for your patience. The last ancient kit I built was Italeri's 1/48 Blackhawk. I won't be touching any inferior kit with a 10-meter pole anymore.
Yeah, there is something nice about working on modern tooled kits. Well, at least most of the time.
Excellent......and very enjoyable to watch 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
Hi Brett, great work as usual. I also love Kitmasx also, they have also never failed me, and quite often I plan my builds around their masks.
Cheers, Iain
Glad to hear there are other Kitmasx users out there! They're great!
Hi Brett, great videos on the pair of C-47s, excellent work on the landing lights on the Monogram kit, (something to look forward to) I have replaced the engines and ordered from kitmasx a few weeks ago.
Amazing work
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work, The C47s are looking good!
Glad you like them!
Lovely work Brett. I live the C47 and I'd love to build a 48 scale. I'm surprised the a Trumpeter kit was such a problem child. But you did a lovely job of them both
Yeah, they both require a little bit of elbow grease, but can both be built up to look nice!
I would've thought that the Monogram model would end up being a breeze all the way through, at least judging by the first video, but unfortunately not. Still patience and and hard work paid off, both kits ended up looking great, in the end. The less said about about the Trumpeter kit the better however.
I would say overall the Monogram kit gave me fewer problems, but it certainly needed some love.
No major issues whatsoever while building mine Monogram. No problems with warping or the canopy. The only snag is the filling and sanding of the upper fuselage joint lines
Thats awesome!
Excellent work as always ☺☺
Thank you so much 😀
Great work Brett!!!!
Thank you!
Aha, now we know what became of the C47
Hi Brett, I'm rather enjoying this Dual Build comparison, it just goes to show what time and engineering progress can do. (And a few extra Dollars.) Looking forward to the next installment, keep up the good work.
Regards...
More to come!
Wow beautiful work, thing I have found about trumpeter is same so much detail that doesn't exactly drop into place, better if they skip all the detail sometimes I leave it out
Very true!
Great video Brett, thanks for sharing, regards Liam
My pleasure!
Really cool model. 🛩
Heck yeah, whatt’an Artist
Thank you!
Thanks!!
I’ve been waiting for this!!!
Cheers!
You'd think as much as the Trumpeter kit costed then and especially now, that it would have gone together smoother.
I've found this to be pretty common on Trumpeter/Hobby Boss kits. They get so close to having great kits, but there are usually a few issues that keep them from being great. Either fit issues, or detail issues. In this case its both.
Great work as usual. Looking to change out an old airbrush and compressor. Interested in knowing what you using.
Currently using the Gaahleri GH-98D airbrush, very affordable and high quality, as for a compressor. I'm using one I picked up off the local classifieds. Its a red compressor that says Hyper Tough on it, 5 gallon air tank.
That's an awful big 1/4"🤣🤣
Yeah, I misspoke, it was 1/2".
