I love it when there is a lot to do in the Intro Pack. This had to have taken you at least an hour to complete. I also love it when you can test electrics right off! Very impressive start.
Wow, what a great looking model! I will be anxiously awaiting each of your build videos of this Apache. I love model building, and being able to watch your videos saves me the time, money and space, that i don't have. Thanks Wayne!
As always, a great video. The control that sticks up in front of the seat is called the Cyclic and the one to the side of the seat is the Collective, it takes both hands and both feet to fly a helicopter.
I've been looking forward to this one and that first didn't disappoint me. Nice detail. The peadals are for yaw control, the stick is for pitch control and the handle that looked like a hand break controls the cyclic if I remember correctly. Flying a helicopter takes a lot of hand eye coordination and balancing of all those controls simultaneously. I've seen Apache Gunships flying around Wiltshire quite a bit when I was there last. Awesome looking ugly helicopters that obey the rule of cool in every way.
Co-pilots cockpit looks really nice. When i start building mine, i think i will lightly sand the first clear lenses on the mfd so it should diffuse the light. Keep up the amazing work Wayne and look forward to seeing issues 5-8
Lovely way to celebrate my birthday .. with your new Apache Longbow build .. Pack One looks fantastic & will enjoy watching you build this Helicopter 🚁
The center display is called TEDAC (TADS (Target Acquisition Designation Sight) Electronic Display and Control), and it should have two handgrips to it which are missing. The other two are called MPD (Multi-Purpose Display).
Wayne, not sure if you can find it in the UK but I recently found a super glue that cures by UV and dries really fast. It actually comes with a small uv light attached to the glue container. It is called Super Weld. Might come in handy if you can find it.
Hello Wayne. I'm not sure that you noticed, but one of the side seatbelts had come loose from the outside of the pilot's seat at the end of stage 3. It was still loose and sticking up at the end of stage 4 as well.
Built the first pack, wow, had to follow your instructions for the most part Wayne. I don't know if it's normal, but the tail rotor spins freely, by hand and by the test board. But, it seems easy to pull out of the frame and doesn't seem to lock in? Any advice?
Quite impressed with this first pack… But… Agora models got one crucial detail incorrect. The little hockey puck dome(the recon sensor pack) on top of the main rotor denotes this as an AH-64D model or longbow at the minimum. A regular AH-64 does not have the hockey puck atop the main rotor.
I'm doing this build and have a comment. When building the main rotor (Stage 2, Step 18) your construct at 13:06 in the video is not the same as the instruction pictures (which are not clear at all). I believe you have parts 2-H and 2-J upside down. In other words, 2-J should be on the bottom of the blade when the angled end of the blade is to the right and 2-H should be on the top. In your construct - if you hold the angled end of the blade to the right 2-H is on the bottom, not the top. Please let me know if I'm wrong since the pictures, as I said, are minimally helpful. Thanks.
Wayne what glue with a brush do I need for mine in Feb so I can go shopping for it you made that look easy but lots to do can't wait for mine cheers Mark
Thank you but I'm in Greenwich no Range stores local and I can't drive 😂 is there another glue like it om ebay or amazon that would work with metal and plastic?
Sorry to go on about what glue to get for this anyone no what else can work as the Range stores near me, and are both far unless I get trains and busses, and there not picking up there phones, I rather get the glue in ready for my build and don't want bits falling off, I want mine to look like Waynes perfect thanks for helping me if anyone can Mark
good video Wayne going back to a old kit with the contacts you have could you get me a issue 106 its for a friend i started with the kits i have seen 1 on ebay but wont pay £75 that is the only issue he is missing
Is it me or has Agora not learned anything in regards to these models and the way they send out parts, what i meen is you start the build on the Tail Rotor then for some reason which is truely Dumb then have you start in a seat. Why? start from one end then fuild from there. It`s like any other Model you could start from the inside first then move to the outside. It doesn`t make sense.
I think it's a brilliant marketing strategy. Start off the build with a couple iconic sub-assemblies to pique interest. In this case, spinning rotor and a fantastic lighted cockpit! It's all about sales and generating revenue. 🤑
@@theduel007 no it is not all you do is end up with parts all over the place waiting untill probably the last copy to finish it. that isn`t about sales it`s just being silly it may lead to people not buying it. for example say you buy a Lego model tell me does the instructions mix pieces up say instruction 1 then Instruction 50 then instruction 250 then instruction 2 you see my point it`s bloody stupid doing it the way Agora has done it. keep it easy to follow then move on. It`s not hard.

Wow. I've never been so impressed with a first pack. This is going to be one incredible build if the other stages are as good as this.
I love it when there is a lot to do in the Intro Pack. This had to have taken you at least an hour to complete. I also love it when you can test electrics right off! Very impressive start.

This, for me, is the most anticipated build this year! Definitely gonna be testing my patience waiting for the next pack!😎
Saw Wayne's video on Monday followed the link and received the first isue by Friday.
Lucky!!! I’m still waiting for mine
Wow. That looks pretty impressive for the first pack Wayne. I know I would have struggled big time with those decals.

I have a correction to make the hand break looking thing controls the collective not the cyclic.

This looks to be an awesome build i will definitely be following this.
Looks excellent Wayne, I should hopefully be getting my first pack in the states shortly after I return from the UK.
Lovely way to celebrate my birthday .. with your new Apache Longbow build .. Pack One looks fantastic & will enjoy watching you build this Helicopter 🚁
Happy Birthday David 🎂
Yoke=Cyclic, Side control=Collective, Pedals=Anti-torque pedals, Front Seat=Pilot/Gunner, Back Seat=Pilot
This is going on my Christmas/Birthday wish lists! 😎👍
Can't wait for mine to arrive. Love the Apache, first time building a kit from them too.
Send help, I'm already nervous
I love your models
Very impressive model
That's early !!!!!!! Great build and vid 🐕🐕👍🙏🍺🇺🇸💞

My what a first pack awesome
The tail rotor is attached to the tail boom which in turn will be attached to the fuselage

I'll take a look. That could come in handy
UNDER ONE MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This one could be awesome.
Waiting for mine to be delivered
Not sure if anyone mentioned this in the comments but a figure in the seat would be great
Yes
They don’t even have the instructions posted on their website yet
Still shows preorder in US, but will definitely do this once available.
the belt on the right hand side of the seat needs glueing back into place 🙂

Can you tell me the brand of your screwdriver please? Link maybe
It's a Wera PH0 and PH1 . They are in my Amazon stores at www.linktr.ee/worldofwayne
The back of the Chair is armored in the real helicopter, I didn't know if you knew that.
It is first model that make in order like midle of build
What happened to the Pocher Lotus 72D?

You can get gorilla brush on glue from Amazon. It's very similar amzn.to/47FfYHm
Woohoo.
What happened to your amazon store? I was going to look and see what screw drivers you use

Not too far off the real thing. Though at that scale I'd like a bit more detail and accuracy.
Just to let you know the yoke is actually called a cyclic
I'm lost on the names of some of these parts lol

😆😆
How many stages for this one?
It's 12 packs
@@WorldofWayneUK So a really quick build to recommend...
Great model of a great helicopter. I wonder if Prince Harry will get one, after all, he used to fly one for real

Heres the glasses amzn.eu/d/hp0jacd and the glue I get from the Range stores in the UK but this is an equivalent amzn.eu/d/5gj1Phu.
The glue is from a store in the uk called the range and the magnifying glasses are from Amazon
During desert storm the Apache proved to be the most unreliable and usless helicopter in the us inventory.
Why was that?
@@theduel007 they keep braking down because of the sand . They weren't designed for desert warfare.
