  • Welcome. Remember that. You're ALWAYS welcome here. Know every single person who comes to my channel, I am thankful for. Humbled for. This is our family. Our SAFE space. And I love you.
Tonight's video is me trying to calm you down during a panic/anxiety attack. Are you having one now? Please let me help you. I tried to think of everything I'd want someone to say to me during an attack, but couldn't. I truly hope this helps. I would never want anyone to feel the way I do when I suffer an attack. So please take this how you will. You deserve peace. We all do. I love you so incredibly much, never forget that you're safe, welcomed, and wanted here. I'll see you tomorrow.

I am having a panic attack but its due to overthinking so idk how to get rid of the thoughts
Edit- 8 months ago since I wrote this comment and I have got so much better, if it's getting too overwhelming I 100% recommend cbt (cognitive behaverial therapy) remember focus on the good things in your life, what also helped me is printing out photos of friends/ great memories and putting it in a book which I labelled "calm book" and I just look through it whenever i get anxious. Rememeher your life is a journey, journeys aren't always going to be easy but you are always strong enough to get through, also look into the law if attraction❤

I though I was the only one, haha. I know this comment is late, but some things that help me are:
-Being grateful for the little things (It can be anything!)
-Try your best to notice the surroundings around you (Be mindful), and it can help.
-Spend some time in the nature. For me, this is the most therapeutic thing to do ❤
-Relax and take care of yourself. At first it's hard to block out the overthinking, but it gets better especially when you're focused.
-Do something kind! It's not very easy, but you'll get the hang of it. Being kind to others isn't only inspiring or sweet, but it gets your mind off of stress/other bad things.
-And last but not least, look back in your life and see all of the moments where you succeeded. It will help you know that you are capable of many things, and you don't have to worry about it! This method always helps me and some of my friends.
Anyways, I hope you see this comment and if you did, hopefully I made you feel better ❤

the "if you cant focus, i understand" line truly meant the world to me. it's such a small, unimportant line but it's something that i never get to hear. whenever i have a panic attack with someone, they always say "just focus on me" and it's said with the best intentions, but i simply *can't* when im having an attack and it stresses me out even more because it feels like yet another thing i can't do. so that one line calmed me down so much. thank you.

I’m glad I’ve found this. My panic attacks/ anxiety attacks start with shaking, mixed feelings of hot and cold, intense nausea, confusion, and hyperventilation and it’s always the nausea that gets me panicking... and it’s exhausting and humiliating when my parents don’t know what’s wrong or my friends look at me when I’m having one of the two. It makes me cry and freak out even more. This is helping with my oncoming anxiety attack..

i know how you feel. but even if you will feel stupid when doctors tell you that you arent having a heart attack its better to be safe than sorry. so if you are having all of the signs of a heart attack. get to a doctor asap. as even if its just an anxiety attack. at least you thought about doing something that could potentially harm you. i hope you get better. have a nice day.

Blade please don't spread negative connotations when it comes to therapy. Not all therapists will be perfect for you, but that doesn't mean therapy is bad in general. I suggest to keep looking for different therapy options if you can, try looking at mental health videos and blog posts if you don't have access to therapy

At first I felt cheesy for watching this even...but then I just cried and cried and my anxiety slowly melted. I think what's best is just hearing someone that you know understands (because they have been through it before) tell you that they care. And knowing its true cuz why else would you make this video? The world seems so cruel sometimes and void of empathy and concern for others. Thanks for understanding and caring enough to be willing to make this. I appreciate you so much. Life has been rough. It's good to be reminded that real love and compassion still exists in the universe.

every time I say something, someone would always spread it. I couldn't trust anyone because I feel like they would always spread it. Everyone would always believe the one with more power instead of the one with more rights.
I have attacks at school and I hide in the comfort room and cry, I often could not breathe. I shake and I shiver and I just want to scream during attacks.
When you said 'let it happen, take it.' i started to feel better because someone finally said the truth.
And the way you consulted, I felt better because I finally calmed down.

I have terrible fear of medical problems as well. I always get confused when normal people can talk about it the way they talk about the weather.
Or when other anxious people see it as the least of their worries (NOT to invalidate what they’re going through, just saying how it makes me different)
It seems like I get weird responses when venting about it, or no response at all. Reading your comment I am both happy that someone understands, but also sad that someone else has to deal with something like what I deal with.

    Thank you so much.
I’ve been having a panic attack for hours, but in 13 minutes I’m completely calm. You look so much like my mom, I’ve always wanted to hear her say what you said. Two years have led me to tonight, absolute rock bottom. But even though I was hyperventilating and throwing up 20 minutes ago I’m breathing normally and my heart rate is slowing. I stepped back and I’m looking at everything that’s happened that set me off tonight and even though I’m still feeling awful, I can handle it an hour at a time if I have to to get through.
The future is scary and uncertain, but right now in this moment I’m okay. There aren’t enough words to express how thankful I am for you. My corgi came to lay near me once I settled and is draped over me guarding me.
To everyone else out there, I hope you can also find solace from whatever is troubling you.

I wasn't drinking any water for at least 12 hours therefore I started having a really bad headache then my stomach started hurting. So this may sound childish but when my stomach hurts I start to get nauseous. I start freaking out because when I was smaller my mom would always be there when I threw up. And my mom gets upset at me when I wake her up. (I usually get nauseous at night) So going to her isnt an option. Which makes me panic even more. But this helped a lot. So thanks.
    Also here is a tip:
Make sure there is cold air blowing at you. Fresh air is one of my remedies.

    • @rietje1707
      @rietje1707 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

I have the Same sort of problem, I get really nauseous especially at night and I almost always get a panic attack as well because sometimes my nauseousness develops into some sort of attack that makes me pass out and shake violently, I have been hospitalized a few times and they just don't know what they are, that's mostly what causes a panic attack every time my stomach gets even a little upset.
My tip is to try and feel everything that is touching my body, like the fabric of my clothes or my sheets, it really grounds me. It also helps me if I lay something on me, like a pillow, weight always calms me down.
You will get through this and so will I. Remember that you are very strong and capable of doing this with or without your mom being there. Much love rianne

I have watched this in situations when I wasn't having a panic attack so today I was having a bad one and I knew where to come for comfort. I feel much better, you helped another soul. Thank you so much. My favorite part was when you said "you're not gonna have a heart attack" and I said "sometimes it really feels like I am tho" and you said "I know, it's okay" and it was really okay, I wasn't going to die. This is precious.

I feel nauseous and weak and I feel cold but hot at the same time and my heart is racing. it’s been happening all day and I feel like I’m gonna have a heart attack and die. I keep googling symptoms but that made it worse and I’m so confused rn. I have a sort of impending doom feeling? idk I just need help

*Drowns Cutely* I’ve had this exact same thing happen to me over these past few days due to a health scare I had the other day which caused me to have a very severe panic attack. At first I thought I was afraid that I was going to collapse and end up in hospital again and I thought that my health scare was causing me to panic, but as the days went on I realised that my fear was of having another panic episode. It’s really a vicious cycle and it’s so hard to release yourself from it, I am still struggling with it as I’m writing this. However the one thing I’ve realised that helps is finding something to trick your mind into thinking you feel better. I found that I felt so weak and sick since I was ill and my anxiety was making it worse, but once I finally faced up to it and went outside just for a short drive with my dad today, I felt so much better. Eventhough it feels like you can’t do something or you can’t get out of this feeling you just have to do it. You might feel sick and horrible but you need to push through it. Obviously don’t push yourself too far, if you need to stop then do. But googling symptoms and sat cooped up dealing with it won’t do you any good. Arange to have a friend come round and see you, spend time with a pet. Keeping your mind off things and pushing through is key. You’re going to be okay. I hope this helps ☺️

I can't handle some people eating, so in school I am full on panic mode all the time. This is one of the best things I've ever seen you make. I have to same thing but I’m not medically assured yet. I have this when people are rude or greedy I always get really mean sounding and I get aggressive. I have in-diagnosed depression and when I get anxiety and stress I tend to hit things and break things. I once had a tangle that I could’nt get out of my hair and I almost ripped my shower cut an and rod off the wall(the rod is bolted in) I always have anxiety cos I have depression lots of anxiety I probably have a disorder but I don’t know yet. I’m also going through puberty and when I’m completely alone I cry because I feel like I’m given up on and I feel like no one cares at all. But I mostly cry because I have stress/anxiety attacks. I’m also an empath so people don’t think I don’t relate because I’m over the average of empathy. Thank you Mom 💝 🤗

Thank you for sharing your own issues with anxiety and putting out energy to help others. I discovered you after my cat died earlier this summer - I’d not slept without her for seventeen years, and after two weeks of not sleeping after she passed, I stumbled across mention of ASMR. You were one of the first ASMRtists I found and you are the only one I constantly back to. Your videos help me get to sleep easily and without extra meds. I’ve got a paid subscription to TH-cam solely to be able to enjoy a playlist of your videos without any commercial interruptions.
Thank you for all the time you spend making the videos, researching new ASMR techniques, honing your skills, and sharing your gifts and talents and knowledge and wisdom with us. Thank you for advocating for quality mental health care. Thank you for the emotional energy you spend as you carefully make each video so that we viewers feel that you’re taking directly to each of us as a beloved friend.
You’ve made the world an easier place for me to live in these last many weeks, and, tonight, your videos helped get me through the first major panic attack I’ve experienced in several years.
I’m going to go curl up with my sleeping sons and try for a little more sleep myself now. Sending positive energies back to you for all the ones you put out for others ❤️❤️❤️
