  • Swing arm removal is justcabout to happen. Had some other work to do in the Hyper so that can become the daily whip while the zed is apart.

Hi comfy sofa , I see you have a hm plus quickshifter on your bike from a Zx10r , I’m tempted to purchase one for my Z1000 , how many miles has your bike got ? And does the quickshifter damaging the gearbox worry you at all ?

Hi - mines just tipped over 20,000 miles. Id say its been on there since about 11 or 12k (thats a guess) though. One of the lads on our forum had a Healtech QS on his zed and it did damage his gearbox. Not enough to totally ruin the gearbox but he did have to strip it to replace the affected parts...i think from recollection it was the 3rd gear and maybe the selector forks....having said that the zed is an amazingly simple bike to work on so, if i ever did suffer the issue id have no problems taking the motor out and renewing the gearbox (or affected parts). Usage: I dont use mine all the time and when i do i do use it sparingly. The other thing is as its not ecu controlled i know where the sweet spot is when using it and shifting (if you fit one youll know what i mean) its the point there you feel the shift is smooth, if you shift at too lower rev speed itll feel a little forced. Otherwise no, no issues. Highly recommended.!

Currently undergoing a hardware redesign....a 4th row of leds is being added. Also the power was soldered in...now its a olugged connection. My brother says itll take another week to finish the board design. Then he'll go back to the app.
