    This video is so useful mate, my lawn at the min I would say is 70% moss.. my neighbour said it is because we live near a beach and that it is impossible to get a good lawn.
    I reminded him that they have nice lawns on desert golf courses. But is he speaking the truth? I have cut all the weeds out my lawn today in preparation for scarifying

      Not to sure what your neighbour is referring too, it is still very possible to have a great lawn right beside a beach.

    Great video as always, thanks for the tips. It's always amazes me how much comes up with the scarifier - you'd think it would leave the lawn bald but no!
    Quick question, do you think you could you use a scarifier with blades (such as yours or an electric one) on a high setting to verticut your lawn? Or do you have to use a verticutting attachment or tool? Some of the electric scarifier say they are also a verticutter, would be a lot cheaper than buying an allet cartridge for my 20 year old mower.
    Cheers Robbie, like button smashed!

    Hi,
    Thank you for video.
    I have 2 questions.
    1. How much time per year the scarifying is required? Is it required in autumn as well?
    2. What the height of grass allowed to make the scarifying? Is it ok 5-6 cm or should be lower?

    • @Premier_lawns_official
      @Premier_lawns_official  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once a year is enough, that's not to say you can't do it more if you choose. Spring or Autumn is the best times. Ideally, the lawn should be a little lower than it normally is cut at, however, if you are using professional tools then that won't matter as much.

    I have an electrical scarifier and a terrible weed problem on my lawn. I just can't get rid of it, and in my country there is no herbicides available for this type of weed (narrow-leaved, similar to actual grass). Scarifying and then putting some soil, seeds and fertiliser didn't really help; even manual removal of this weed didn't do much. Water and fertilisers (NPK and iron-sulphur based) are not a problem, the lawn gets all it needs regularly, but this weed is very stuborn!
