@@Sywolve I've been illustrating/drawing for 25 years and couldn't do it blindfolded. His sculpture was pretty decent all things considered. Just a few months ago he was afraid to film himself sculpt things for us on camera and now he is throwing caution to the wind and doing blindfolded sculpts. I think it's great, he is stepping out of his comfort zone and letting us see him be vulnerable.
@@gesarts3625 I feel like my first comment was a bit misconstrued. I'm not surprised he did great on the owl because he's a fantastic artist and he has a lot of practice sculpting this owl dude. I felt like this was a part his comfort zone even in a different situation. Kinda like studying for an exam to do well on it (knowing the material in stressful environment). Anyway I get what you mean though, hope this clears up my previous comment. (I don't have a way with words, sorry)
Ace: "I can tell the difference between glow in the dark clay and the normal clay" Also Ace: Accidentally uses glow in the dark clay on its face thinking it's normal clay Personally found that quite hilarious 😂 Even so, I'm terrible at sculpting and you did this (what I'd call a masterpiece) blindfolded! We adore your sculpting so keep it up!
From the moment you put the glow in the dark clay around the eye I couldn't catch my breath. This was good. Really good. I also laughed out loud each time he fell over.
Not bad at all, I can't imagine many people could do a better job blind folded! What did you think when you saw you did one of the eye feathers with the glow in the dark clay?
This was hilarious, thank you for doing it. It's always fun to have fun and screw around for once, not caring about perfecting the end result! I hope you do more blindfolded challenges in the future.
It's sad that what he can do with his eyes closed, I can't even do with my eyes open 😂 Also this is the most beautiful baby I've seen it so so cute and special I love it 💖
Thanks for switching it up to keep yourself enthused about sculpting. I don't watch because of specific sculpting themes, but rather because you enjoy what you're doing.
Lol! This was great! I smiled the whole video and laughed so hard when you were painting. I think you did an outstanding job for being blindfolded. You perfectly sculpted my spirit animal...a derpy owl! Thanks for the video, and on a side note, it was awesome to see your face while you were sculpting.
This was awesome and I'm proud of you for doing sonething so risky. You've figured out that we watch you because you're good company as much as for your artistic skill.
Great project... if I was a mom and you were my first grader I would think that this was amazing. As a happy subscriber of your channel I think this was AMAZING. not your usual outstanding creation but raw talent is raw talent. Or maybe, this was really a cheap bootleg knockoff. Thank you so much for sharing.
As someone who has been completely blind since birth and has never seen an owl, this is exactly how I imagined them to look. Thank you for realising my vision of this beautiful creature.
Thank you, Ace, for the laughter! Enjoyed this video as a nice change. The owl actually wasn't too bad, kinda cute, especially the lopsided eye! LOL.. Hope you had as much fun as we did watching!
For blind folded that turned out great, but still super funny to watch. The self deprecating humor was my favorite. I do the samething to myself... lol
That was great!!!! You get a "like" just on principle alone for doing this blindfolded, but honestly that came out pretty darn good also for not being able to see anything. I kept wanting to shout where the tools were to you lolol.
I freaking love your adorable owls. Think that's what my first clay sculpture was. I want to make some more now. This is a fun challenge I enjoy watching artist try and see if they are really good at different things and challenge themselves.
You should have totally had a "topple" counter for every time the little guy fell over. Awesome eyelash removal tutorial though! Had me in stitches with all the little comments added (save me) and throw away lines XD
I really enjoy your videos no matter what you do. Thank you for going out of your comfort zone for us. In the end I think it will make you an even better artist than you already are. You are one of my favorite youtubers. You seem to be so humble and down-to-earth that I would love to know you in real-life. I also like when you keep the thumbnail a mystery of the final product. I wish you and your channel much prosperity.
I was having a really rough day. You made me laugh so hard my husband came in to check on me. When it kept falling over, I knew this was a winner! The laughs just got better. “I hope I’m just painting the tips of the feathers.” Big blobs of white everywhere. So much fun. You made my day!
I absolutely love him. He's all crooked and wonky but unmistakably an owl. Honestly he has SO MUCH character and I'd pay good money to have him on my shelf.
Absolutely hilarious and a joy to watch. Only cringed at the amount of paint that got put out but what does one expect to happen eh? It came out pretty decently all things consider and was a really good video! Love your stuff
This was so fun to watch, you’re a lot braver than me... lol The owl turned out really good especially with you taping and blindfolding yourself. I was amazed at how well the owl turned out. When you grabbed the glow clay I was like oh nooo...but then I thought about it and I think that would be pretty cool for the eyes and for one side of the eye feathers to glow, it made the owl unique... Omgoodness the painting wow just wow you really did a great job with that... you are definitely talented. Thank you for sharing and I hope you do this again, it was fun. Hugs from Texas
I think it came out surprisingly well for being completely blindfolded! That little owl is cute in a very messy way, I like him. Also I laughed when Ace squirted yellow paint directly on his table.
"Where's my explorer tool?! oh, here it is! i can feel it!" ngl was expecting him to poke himself too much and just go 'ow-' after that xD i swear, that's the owl equivelant of Moon Moon the wolf xD i love it it's so adorably dopey and derpy xD though you gave him a glowing eye (around the face not under the glass)...I've heard of black eyes but i think this is a bit much don't you think? XD
That was too funny! WAY better than I could do. It was a great exercise for you to do and I’m impressed that you shared it with all of us. Thank you very much. You are a true artist.
I loved this video! It felt like you were being more natural and it was so funny. Your sculptures are awesome but this was my favorite video 😍 Keep up the great work! ☺️👍🏻
At first I was like, "Why blindfolded, how stupid." But from the very beginning, I could't stop watching, I was hooked! Every time "E.T." fell over I was laughing so hard. This was great, thanks for the entertainment! Your placement of the yellow paint on the foil was "spot on." Good job!!
That came out surprisingly good lol definitely a nice change up from your usual vides :) you should totally throw one of these in the mix now n then.. maybe even do a thrift sculpt in blindfolded
That was incredible! It was hilarious, it was fun because you are phenomenal but this owl is...imperfect, shall we say? I enjoyed this immensely. It was brave n fun of you to try and I dare say it looks better than I could've done if I had been looking! Very fun!
Of course your blindfolded sculpture is still better than any I've done. Thanks for all the videos. I got into sculpting with my son and we both watch them to try out new techniques. Amazing!
Love it! You definitely did better than I would have. I also felt sorry for the little guy when he kept falling over and his one set of glow in the dark eye feathers just add to his uniqueness.
I love that you put the ear tufts on your owls. They use those tufts for communication amongst the parliament (zoological term for a flock of owls) so they don't have to call out and give away their location when hunting or hiding from a predator. I was lucky enough to work with four species of owl when I was a zoo keeper, love them muchly. Thank you for such a fun video.
This is so hilariously cute, I love it! Please put this up for sale so I can take him into my home, this whole video was so wholesome something like that owl will cheer me up immensely every time I see it.
The owls face says it all. I laughed every time it fell over.
Thanks for all the thumbs up.
"save me" hahahahahaha loved it
Right?

I laughed my butt off every time it fell over. Was ridiculously funny. My daughter came in to see if i was ok.

So fun (dare I say a "hoot") to watch. I loved the glow in the dark rim on the eye.
Let's just say you're better blindfold than I am seeing and sculpting!

This was entertaining. I thought you'd accidently use the glowing clay when it got put in with the other clay. I was right.
