I’d like to do this, but not trusting this video, might be more confident if the key was not in the ignition at all. Also was that a new relay or existing relay, wasn’t clear.
In this instance the key has to be in the ignition because I’m assuming this is an ews car. Therefore the ecu/dme ignition switch and key fob all communicate with it each other to allow the car to start. The only way to do this is to flash out ews via the ecu/dme and also may include bridging wires under the glovebox for the ews module. So in short he had to leave the key in. If you want to do it I’d find out what ews your car has and how to remove it if you would rather run with no key 🤙

You need the key there for the sensor chop that’s in it clearly his ignition barrel won’t work still have to have the key there
